So a rancher needs its first service at 100 miles? I just got mine and put 63 miles on it in a couple days. And is that true that Honda oil is needed not to void the fact warranty?

I've been loving a 2005 I bought in 2020, put 40K kms on it so far - LOVE IT! Couple of milled blocks under the handlebars (didn't have to do anything other then bolt them on), a piece of water heater blanket for the top of the motor under the tank, and a piece of sheepskin under my butt - best $4500 I ever spent!

I grew up on Harley's but not long I rode a Vulcan nomad and it impressed me a lot!😮

Hi. Just bought one of these bikes used and am so excited to pick it up. Great video. Your comment about the windscreen is fair yet I can say that the mechanism for the adjustable windscreen is very complex and when it breaks super expensive to repair. I have had that happen on a Honda. The motors need to be pretty powerful because someone will raise the windshield to its highest while going down that the road at 90mph. They do break....

I just sold my Harley, HOORAY! Now I am debating between two motorcycles, the Kawasaki Vulcan S and the Triumph Speed Twin 900. My main concern is the riding comfort for the passenger. The rider doesn't really feel the manhole covers, road seams and pot holes as well as the passenger and since my wife always rides with me this is very important to me. The Harley rode like a dump truck, I will never own another Harley. If you can and are willing will you do road test on both the Vulcan S with a passenger and the Triumph Speed Twin 900 with a passenger and get their perspective on the ride quality? Thanks

Actually, 883lb is the Voyager weight. The Vaquero is 844lb. I like these bikes, but you do need the Ivans ECU flash then it really wakes up.

That’s a small quad. Guy doesn’t even look big and looks way to big for this machine. Of course it’s gunna go fast when it’s that small and powerful it’s kind of a no brainer.

Nice video 👍 How many mpg are you averaging on a tank of fuel ? I really like the nimble compact character of this machine, although , I’m looking into the Foreman due to a few features that I personally feel are necessary for my environment and riding conditions. 1. Locking differential 2. I like the headlight mounted on the bars , I have been told it’s higher position really lights up the road ahead of you 3. 12V power outlet for running accessories etc 4. Storage compartments in the fender ( it’s not very big , but it’s something) 5. Traditional tire sizes of 12/8*26 by 12/10*26 I don’t know why Honda makes the Rancher with an oddball 11” wheel 6. Better front and rear capacities on the racks and better front bumper coverage ( it actually extends to protect the whole front end where as the Rancher is shorter exposing the corners of the front fenders ) 7. A more aggressive tread pattern on the tires . 8. The 518cc engine ( I’m told it’s only like 2 more HP than the 420 but I think A LOT more torque) which will contribute greatly in hill climbing and muddy terrain. And I’m not sure how much more fuel consumption it will be , and if it’s worth the trade off. All in all , I think that Rancher is a great buy , just falls short of of my needs as mentioned above.

This looks like Ocala National Forrest. Am I far off? Also we have a '98 version of this and love it, and we're looking for a second new one for my wife. But she wants power steering, and I'm not sure it's needed enough to justify.... wonder if it makes a big difference (just riding around the ranch with trails and some easy hills)

Wow 615lbs?! With that weight you almost don't need the EPS. In my opinion just something else to break eventually. I'm coming from a 1998 Kawasaki Prairie 400 with a carburetor so the Rancher would be an upgrade for sure.
