Hero of Midgard has been a devastating splash into my dark dimension roster. 3 power a turn and an easy way to spend power outside of his turn means he rarely takes that 6+ power damage from the leadership. I have dazed and/or KO'd multiple characters a turn with how much power he gets under Dorm. As you guessed, my opponents found their best method of action against him is to displace every chance they get, cause if he's even a single move action away he can still usually manage an attack and either a terrain or self-throw. Playing him brings a tear to my eye.

Couple of Addendums: Mighty Thor is A-Force affiliated as well and will be great beater character alternate to Angela in that team at 5 threat. Definitely give her a try there as power will not be a problem to get her kit going under She Hulk. Mighty Thor can also assist with Special Delivery as she has Flight passive super power. Freyja’s Blessing is a new Asgardian card that is a better version of the roster Inspiring Monologue card since it is played in the power phase to make sure you get to benefit from your defense rerolls. Definitely consider it if you think the opponent will be throwing a lot of attacks into your important model. Thanks guys and hope you enjoyed the overview!

So,I'm not much of a gamer,but, I have been watching these videos about these games. I read Marvel comics when I was a kid and also watched the cartoons back in the mid to late 60's. (yes ,I'm an old guy) and these games bring back memories of the Stories of Thor and the Rainbow bridge of Asgrad. In Norse mythology, Bifröst is the bridge between the land of mortals, Midgard, and the land of the gods, Asgard. The gods cross it every day to meet and decide things at Urdarbrunn (Well of Urd) under the tree Yggdrasill. The bridge is a rainbow. Pretty interesting that these games are following the stories! Well done. I enjoy watching.

"25-30 power points of terrain..." huh? Did he mean size? Please tell me he didn't actually mean to say that terrain costs points in this game, because that..... that just is not a thing! Terrain has a "size" value assigned to it, which influences a lot of stuff, but there is no limit on how much you can use. And in fact, I myself would argue you may want MORE terrain than you had here, specifically Bigger terrain! This helps make keywords like Flight and Wall Crawler valuable & important strategically.

Great analysis! As a note Apocalypse only heals/gains a power during a turn (a character activation) when he would get a condition he is immune to, so fisk and demons don't help him as they are outside of that.

same boat for me.. coming from full blown 40k and needed a break after a few years of the GW grind. Grew up on the characters and a friend put me on to MCP about a month ago and I haven't look back since. It's extremely fun and the rules flow really well. Love tinkering with rosters and knowing all I need to bring to the shop are 10 models lol

Quick correction - during the video we mention Apocalypse healing from Fisk. Looking back over the rules, I do not believe it works as his healing states once a turn and Fisk/Demons do not happen during a turn.

It is kind of missing anbalisis of Apocalypse related tactics cards. But I can apriciate you were exausted after over 3hours of this :)

I just noticed that at 1:31:51 of the video the Retention Cables attack says, "AFTER this attack is resolved" and he moved Black Widow before he made the attack-roll.

Im only halfway through but this video is amazing! I dont see how any other video could do as conprehensive a breakdown of Apocalypse as Jian and Shane did. Theyre so knowledgeable and will definitely help a lot of people out who intend on playing Apocalypse and his horsemen.

Having played Apocalypse now a few times, I think that Famine and Pestilence seem to be the most important horsemen to have by far. Primarily because Apocalypse is not an attrition affiliation I think and his whole concept is designed around conditions. Probably the best thing Apocalypse can do that I’ve seen is have a model run into 4 guys and Pestilence bomb them all, gain 4 tokens then run back. Being able to dish out slow on both sides of a D shape is debilitating. It surprises me how people see this team and tend to go to an attrition concept when his model list isn’t that good at fighting but pretty good at playing the scenario game.

A little clarification on Biomorphic Aresenal. It reads you need both shock AND root to be able to trigger the throw, instead of shock OR root mentioned in the video. 4:15 This is actually much worse. Since the conditions do not apply for each wild in the roll. The best you can hope for is to Famine place up range 2, to be able to double tap builders. Then hope for a wild in each builder so they have both shock and root for the top of next round. That is the scenario if you are only relying on Apocalypse with no previous character setup. However, this is further saddened by the fact that most 2-4 threat characters will die to 14 dice. So, the throw is very rare without any setup. It kind of forces you to do this into the Hulk or Thanos because they can survive the 14 dice and are big enough size to invest 2-3 actions for a throw.
