This is the fucking worst cover of it ever! Absolutely butchered the song! This is may even be worse than the All Saints one! I can't even believe their playing and singing it all giddy and shit. This song was about Anthony Keitis nearly losing his life and actually losing the life his friend and founding bandmate Hillel Slovak to a heroin overdose. Fucking disrespectful on too many levels.

@atlsocojm22 The comment was written a year ago before I saw him in concert three times, where he kind of went into it more. I think both are very emotional, just in different ways. In both bands, it's all about his life and what's going on in it.

The song itself sounds nice if you've just heard it for the first time and you don't understand the meaning behind the words, you'd be quite disappointed. I completely understand why Anthony Keidis hated this. This song was supposed to depict his most dreadful days. I feel like the cover for the song doesn't do well in showing that.

ok you guys gotta calm down about this cover. they are not trying to do their own brand new song, but pay tribulte to one of the best songs ever written, i think that the guitar in this song is very creative and new, and i like it a lot. i also realize that it is nothing compared to john frusciante, and never will be 1/36th as good as john. i acutally like this song and respect this as a good cover

i'm sorry, but andrew mcmahon is wonderful in whatever music he decides to put himself into. jack's mannequin OR something corporate, he is utterly amazing, and i am completely in love with his music.

The singer and creator of Jack's Mannequin is Andrew McMahon. He was the singer and what not in SoCo. They broke up a while ago sadly. This was his side project and he wanted to go on his own.

yeah i totally agree. I'd kill for them to play old SoCo songs, even some Jack's, but more Something Corporate songs, such as Cavanaugh Park... I love that song. :)
