Here it is, the official aftermovie for Zion Station 2024.
Third year the BelDUB crew made it to this wonderful place at Due Laghi, Portomaggiore (IT).
The love for soundsystem culture is strong in the mediterranean countries and respect is due to Zion Station for spreading the culture for 13 years. Brick after brick they built a solid foundation, together with local strongholds like Dan-I and Imperial Sound Army, Echotronix Sound, Heavy Rootation Sound, Black Lion Hi-Vibes and many more contributors and volunteers.
There is no question to it: musically this was a heartical, grand cru year for the visitors. The promotors had been playing with the idea of inviting the whole Falasha family for many years. This year, the stars aligned and the dream became true.
An amazing line-up with ISA feat. Johnny Clarke, Echotronix feat. Word Sound and Power with Jimmy Ranks, a live show by Blood Shanti, sets by Sista Habeesha and Ashanti Selah, and off course Aba Shanti-I with his full QSS soundsystem. Kutty Qualitex in the house to monitor the sound for the best experience.
I saw many Belgians trodding these holy plains and many of them told me Aba's session was the best thing they have seen in a long time. I'm an old geezer pushing 40, normally my bed time is around 3 AM but Aba effortlessly got me through the night. After I felt energized and healed. Even my back felt better. This music, it heals. It heals.
