Welcome to the channel! Here you will find stuff, although that stuff is primarily focused on video games.
Why the Nintendo 64 Controller is Good, Actually
The Nintendo 64 controller actually has a pretty forward-thinking design that doesn't get a ton of credit these days. Is it an underappreciated gem, or a relic of the 90s that should stay in the past?

5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Buying a Dreamcast

These are the top 5 things I wish I knew before buying a Sega Dreamcast. Even with all its faults, is it still worth owning one today?
Sonic P-06 Wave Ocean S Rank
Переглядів 1335 років тому
If you guys have followed my channel at all, you know I'm no stranger to Sonic '06 fan games, but this is one of the best ones I think I've ever seen. All the right stuff is fixed, and all the right stuff is left untouched, making it feel faithful yet fresh at the same time. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this one. Go support the guys making this game and try it yourself.

Just a quick gameplay video of me running through Null Space. I beat the game 100 percent on Switch so now I'm playing around with the PC version.
Sonic '06 2D: Aquatic Base S Rank
Переглядів 1,9 тис.11 років тому
My guide on how to S rank the stage Aquatic Base in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 4' 27" 53, and a score of a whopping 74,677 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This stage is probably the second hardest to S rank behind Flame Core, not because of the sheer amount of enemies this stage throws at you, but because of the many ways to die. Unlike all of the other stages, where it is necessary ...
Sonic '06 2D: Kingdom Valley S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Kingdom Valley in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 3' 15" 80, and a score of 64,080 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This stage is odd, because although you can rack up a lot of points, its really not that easy to S rank. If you get hit anytime during the second section, you won't have enough rings for the S rank, but unfortunately, the second section is ...
Sonic '06 2D: Tropical Jungle S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Tropical Jungle in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 1' 28" 63, and a score of 52,667 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). Honestly, this is one of the easiest stages in the game, and the only trouble I could forsee people having is that of the vine swinging. Just try to get the timing down, and this stage will be a breeze. Some tips to keep in mind: -At the b...
Sonic '06 2D: Radical Train S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Radical Train in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 1' 24" 63, and a score of 53,237 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This stage is much easier to S rank, thanks to its much shorter length, but it is still no pushover. Specifically, I'm talking about the conveyer section midway through the stage. If you are having trouble making it through, don't speed thro...
Sonic '06 2D: Flame Core S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Flame Core in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 3' 26" 91, and a score of 55,719 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). Without a doubt, this is the hardest stage to S rank in the game, because of all the enemies that are thrown at you and all of the lava that keeps shooting up from the ground when you least expect it! If you want the S rank, follow my tips, but...
Sonic '06 2D: Crisis City S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Crisis City in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 2' 08" 88, and a score of 55,142 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This stage is pretty easy to S rank, and even if you're having a hard time with it, there are so many 1 ups in this stage that your lives rack up pretty quick. The only thing you might have trouble with is the platforming section at the end, w...
Sonic '06 2D: White Acropolis S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage White Acropolis in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 1' 09" 75, and a score of 55,825 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). Really, this stage is pretty easy to S rank, mostly because of its short length, so you should really have no problem here. Some tips to keep in mind: -If you are on a straightaway, right after hitting a dash panel, keep doing the slide ki...
Sonic '06 2D: Dusty Desert S Rank

My guide on how to S rank the stage Dusty Desert in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 1' 17" 46, and a score of 53,124 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This stage is harder than Wave Ocean to S rank for sure, mostly because of those stupid spike bars that you are constantly running into, and that fickle ring dash trail near the end that never seems to work. But with enough stage memorization...

My guide on how to S rank the stage Wave Ocean in Sonic '06 2D, with a time of 1' 19" 56, and a score of 53,454 (you need 50,000 points for the S rank). This one's pretty easy, given that it's the first stage, but if you don't know what your doing, that S rank can seem kinda difficult to get. Some tips to keep in mind: -Be sure to hop up to the second level to hit that rainbow ring at the very ...
Who Killed Sonic 06?

In this 'documentary', we go back in time to examine the development history of Sonic 06, in an effort to figure out what went wrong, and where it went wrong. Although it may not seem like it from the video, I actually like this game; though I'd have to be a fool to ignore the enormous amount of potential it had. If you want to see more beta footage, click the links below. They'll lead you to t...

Don’t use third party controllers or vmus. Including the striker dc. They can ruin controller ports
I never owned one on release but I've owned one for the last couple of years now (at the age of 39). I must say that I find the controller to sit almost perfectly in my hands, I can't fault it at all
Just got the CD soundtrack for this game in the mail today at 3:59p.m. and it's the "Sonic The Hedgehog Original Sound Track" CD and I'm listening to it while watching this! 8:17p.m. 10/22/2024
My freaking mom left mines next to the dumpster because I was bad at school when I was a kid still remember seeing it and my mom not allowing me to get it I was a kid then my mom was not to kind of a woman
She grew up during war so I don’t blame her ways growing up she prolly had ptsd or some
There are a lot of hearsay claims in this video, maybe as a symptom of its age. Particularly do your own research about laser wear with burned games. In the long run it seems it doesn't matter if a game is authentic or burned. You may also find burned games have issues with disk rot less often.
I think when if I go get a Dreamcast I'll just use S video through my Retroscaler2x.
I've never owned a Dreamcast but I think I want one.
0:38 THE FLAMES OF DISASTER
for some odd reason i like the loud laser. I still have my original console i got when i was a kid
Your right about how different the dreamcast games are to ps2/xbox But some games are there that are similar: Code veronica Soul reaver (one of my favorites ever) Head hunter Skies of Arcadia/Grandia MSR Berserk guts rage Evil Twin Cypriens Chronicles And ofcours PSO
how old are you?
YOU MEAN THAT BEEP ISN’T HOW IT JUST IS?! Whoa!
Still have my Dreamcast 20+ years later and still thinking...
I huge fan sonic the heghog games and shows and you jhonny menaxc❤❤❤😂😢😮😅😇🐽🎃🐺😮💨🎃🔟🦊❤❤😂😢😅 10:14 🐺🐺🐽🥰😜🤑🤑 10:17
Two words…Zombie Revenge
The main issue you'll find with it now is only having 1 analogue stick, it totally changes the way we control games from what we have grown accustomed to now.
shits long gone redream buddy
also it had a screen saver multiple versions had it different
only 2 years hah damn above its time no joke i had isdn back then the damn thing was amazing it kicked playstations ass back in time i ran emulators etc the god damn gd rom still aint available its loud it didnt play dvd and i think that is what screwed it
Rubbish Video, sure. Some legit views but seems like you are just trying to sell modern components. You don't look the age from when this was made. VGA, limited memory on discs and memeory cards were just common then. This video is a giant advert.
You can make the laser much more quiet by greasing it
What a terrible video. 1. You complain that it's made of hard plastics like EVERY OTHER CONSOLE. 2. You complain you can't reach the stick using index finger on the triggers because YOUR hand is too small. 3. You complain about random resets when I've owned multiple units since launch and never experienced this issue. 4. You complain that it has 1 laser like almost every other console. 5. Complaining damage to a disk causes it not to read, like every other disk based media. I bored I could tear everything apart in this video but I'm so annoyed I don't even want to continue.
"Tons of incredible games" is about 30. Maybe even less.
I had two dream casts when the the cansile first game out must admit that the games won't great the console it. Self had a lot off problems I for one wouldn't want one
4:10: Worse: it only holds as much as a PSone memory card - 128kb
I still have my Dreamcast from 2001. It still works and I'll never sell it.
About the burn cd's My Dreamcast has a number 2 So what does that mean's???
Can't say I've ever had an issue with the controller. One of my favourite of all time prior to the standardisation we now have. And the analogue stick has no drift. It's actually awesome for racing games, which given they make up such a large amount of the library is ok by me ^_^ Most of the other issues I would say anyone getting into DC now goes down the route of a GDEmu, and for the best video output, it's well worth putting all the money you save not needing to buy the games on a DC Digital mod for the best video output possible. (and I say this as someone with several hundred original DC discs) and of course a VM2 completely eliminates all the issues with the VMU giving you practically unlimited storage with a rechargeable batter and USB-C connection to be able to transfer files around all with a nice backlight. If you use OpenMenu with your GDEmu and VM2, it can even automatically change to the corresponding game you are launching.
Don't expect any METAL GEAR SOLID/GRAND THEFT AUTO/HALO type games that you can get for pennies and are still great. Expect to pay more than what you sunk into the console for KING OF FIGHTERS 98 and get utterly cranked by the CPU on the minimum difficulty because it reads all your inputs.
Dropkick your HD TV because it turned all the circles on SKIES OF ARCADIA menus into ovals.
Spike your OG Dreamcast controller while playing 3rd Strike because you dropped your combo and blamed it on the shit-tier triggers where there should be shoulder buttons.
Do it.
I bought my own Dreamcast sometime last year and I never knew about those issues at the beginning of the video, mine worked perfectly fine, my only issue is finding good games, I’ve found tons of games and stuff but the good ones or really the games I want are so expensive, all I want is sonic adventure 2 for the sega Dreamcast and I’ve nonstop run into Japanese copy after the trial copy, all for way too much money 😔
If you wanna play dreamcast games on sega dreamcast and don't wanna pay for them for being expensive if you're sega Dreamcast on bottom is between model O or 1 you can play modded games on it and don't have to take it a part to mod it because you can do it with cd-r disc through imgburn on pc and Iv'e done it with some games and they work without issues but if you do mod make sure it's lowest speed
@@sharker102s I’d try that but the only computer I have with a cd drive that burns discs is a 2002 iMac G4 and even then the disc drive is broken lol, I do have tons of blank discs though
Bro move that triple chin away from the camera
You only need to know one thing it is the best console. If you just want to have fun playing games.
Your laser is way too loud, probably needs lubrication on the guides. Mine is loud but not like this. I been throuh two EU DCs and never had problems even with very scratched discs. Mine is now old enough it has trouble reading on cold boots, which seem to be from bad capacitors (it goes away after it heats up). I plan on replacing them, since I already found 5 or 6 that are off spec on the controller board. If 2nd hand, your sample may also have had the laser tweaked for CDROMs, in which case GDROMs will have the issues you describe. You need to adjust the pot to lower power to factory spec and it will read GDs much better. The best test I've found for this is tweak until Soulcalibur runs the music in game continuously, without fail. Other games it may just retry until it loads content and it may not drop to OS like you describe. The controller is mostly great, even though it sorely lacked the second thumbstick. While one may point one or two things not being top notch, this had the first proper analog triggers, which were massive for racing games. Try playing one on the PS2, where you are supposed to accelerate with the analog buttons. Many many times, you are not pushing hard enough for 100% to register... PS3 is mostly the same, with much worse thumbstick placement. Well, unless you get a 3rd party controller. They are also really durable controllers. Mine took a beating to the point the face buttons are now very soft but they still work without missed inputs.
I’ve taken controller out of the ports since owning it back in 2000 never had any issues
Wooow where did you find this? I remember watching it way back when in 500 b.c
Dreamcast is 6th gen system. It's last official game came out in 2007. It's a 6th gen system, comfortably.
talk abut a core memory... i remember certain parts of games were unplayable due to scratches. you'd have to avoid that level/mode or were only able to play up the a certain point.
It always seemed to me that the starting “beep” is a normal state. And yes, I have never changed the VMU battery.
First thing you must know before buying, is that disk drives are already 25yr old. Expect to spend some money on an optical drive simulator or any other method to load games other than gdroma.
Woooooo Yeah, Sega Forever 🤘
It was dying before the PS2 came out. 1. Most of those things are very rare and not super known. The laser isn't what makes the noise it's the motor and there is actually nothing wrong with it. It's just the way it's made(not cheap). 2. Most of what you said isn't true outside of the amount a GD-Rom can store. Everything else about burning games, compression of burned games and how hard the laser works is false. 3. VMU batteries are a pain but you can change them out for rechargeable ones. 4. Video output is fine
Just found one with 4 controllers and a cheap memory card, the guy at the counter was like, oh wait theres a big cd case with lots of games 😀 it was a goodwill type place
Dreamcast exists in ps1 n64 era and kick ass that consoles at all and any game version wich exists in dreamcast and in other console (whateaver, any console you wish) the dreamcast version are better.. the console have a few problems i know but i never feel again that magic with ant console
This videogame is soooo beaultiful 😮
plus, DO NOT unplug AV cable while power is plugged. it may damage video output.
Are any of them the fact that the dreamcast was a flop from several years ago and sega is effectively dead??? Because common sense would have told you that well before you even entered the store to buy one.
way better experience is with emulation, xbox controller and chd's....
All you need to know about the dreamcast is that it’s good exclusives were ported, and it’s thumb-sticks are torture.
