King Tiger Restoring Part #2 [ENG] May 5, 2018
In September 2006, the Swiss Military Museum Full received one of the last remaining Tiger IIs in the world as a permanent loan from the Swiss Army. This gives us the opportunity to completely restore this legendary vehicle with the aim of making it fully functional again.

Thank you for the translation! Great project and a wonderful restoration! Outstanding.
"Torsion bar" not "leaf spring".
Thanks for translating for us Englishers... a fascinating vehicle, and I hope it all goes back together! for those of us who love history and the history of WWII, I for one would plan a trip to Europe just to see this tank!
Fascinating.

yeah, and now look at how great the russian tanks are doing these days
This team of restoration specialists are second to none. Most of the subject components thinner than 30mm had rusted away in the elements therefore needed to be built from scratch from once forbidden knowledge. Incredible team, they deserve to take control of valuable contracts.
Nice job with the translation, also I see the project advancing
Super !
Been waiting for this translation 👍
Your awesome and awesome video be safe out there

Please continue to do a magnificent job. Regarding the very complicated] pipelines also the Tiger I had this very complicated layout so both suffered from leaks and continuous headaches for the crew. Great job 👍👍👍👍👍
Fantastic work but please stop calling the early turret the Porsche turret. Both style turret’s were manufactured by Krupp. The early style was supposed to be installed on the 50 Porsche hulls which lost the competition for the King Tiger to Henschel. Those 50 hulls became the “Elephant” self-propelled anti-tank guns.
That’s extremely incorrect, you aren’t referring to the right tank
Although you are correct please understand that it was initially ordered by Porsche 50 units then came the production turret for the Henschel so altogether it is not wrong...
Yeah, relax. Krupp was contracted for series production. But they didn’t design either turret.
You are all making a magnificent job of that restoration! I wish you all success in completing it.
I hope this heavy girl will run again
maybe in many years
Great job gentlemen. 👍💯
thank you, please subscribe and share.
Excellent video, thank you
I thank you for your interest

No se por que parece que los Rusos fueron modificados genéticamente para tener la voz más gruesa posible
there are no russians to see
@@historygun6329 oh mierda
Any progress lately?
sure, but I was still waiting for more subscribers.
die bunderwehr braucht jeden panzer
lol
As a disabled American Tank mechanic, and lover of WWII military history.. I would very much like to have more videos on this King Tiger to watch. The videos on this channel are from 1 year ago. Are any more coming? I do hope so. And, if not.. I would like to make arrangements to be able to see more. The King Tiger is among my favorite WWII Armored Vehicles.
I was waiting to reach the 400 subscribers. Further parts will follow soon. As more subsrcibers and views, as more videos i will produce for this channel.
yes please go for english
ok. i will proceed. would you mind to subscribe and share in the meantime?
what a pitty - I never saw such an awfull video! - not sharp, to quick - and fully confusing...!
it was my first video live on site. I will try to make better in the future. thanks for your comment
Great research presentation and editing ❤

highest kill per loss ratio .... that's a failure ???
well, there is a problem with the kill confirmations for tanks. but the tank was very dangerous.
Please translate the King Tiger II Tank restoration videos to English! Thank you, this is fantastic information!
ok, i will proceed with it. please feel free to share that, so I can get more subscribers.

thank you. please subscribe and share
Great video!
thanks
Great video. You guys should contact the Weald Foundation in England. They are experts at tank restoration and might be able to help. Hilary Doyle, who's a lead board member and the world's top expert on German tanks, could be particularly helpful since he specializes in German AFV blueprints and drafting.
thank you, we are contacting them already, but they are busy with their own stuff.
Great work, thanks for the translation!
you are welcome. next parts will follow
thank you for translating! it is very much appreciated
Appreciate the translation. Do you know if any parts will be unoriginal, like engine, transmission, etc? Do you know anything about how long time there's left before the restoration is finished?
it will take many years for sure to complete. and a lot of parts inside will be made new, for example the fuel pipes. i will show it in the next parts.
@@historygun6329 I look forward to seeing more videos from you! When I meant unoriginal I meant replacing with a new design. Theres an Australian Tiger I that will be restored to running but will have a modern engine and transmission. But the Tiger 2 will have the original designs?
@@erikb-w3w engine and transmission will remain originals, but thei will got a complete maintenance. we had to make new engine coolers, as they were rust away. the fuel system will not connect all the 7 or 8 fuel tanks but only one, to have less points of potential risk to have a leakage. we ordered plastic cartridges, they look like originals.
@@historygun6329 Thats great. Thank you for answering and keep posting videos!!
@@erikb-w3w ok, thanks. keep sharing them please.
Very Good restoration Well done
thanks
I'm following very carefully this very late Königtiger with great interest but I don't understand how chronologically it is placed because I saw a while ago both the hull and the turret seemed to be on a very good level. I'm a bit confused. Nevertheless I will keep on following your new videos that by the way doing an excellent job 👍 👏. Anyway I just subscribed 👍
I just translated this old video to english. If that one will got enough clicks I will also translate further parts, to have full documentation. This one is just to see what will happen.
@@historygun6329 please move on as I'm looking very much forward to see your future videos. Fundamentally I'm a fan of this impressive tank and the big efforts of the team that is working on this tank 👍👍👍
@@paoloviti6156 you can help me by sharing this video within social networks and so on..
@@historygun6329 I will share it 👍👍👍

Had to look up 200mm.
The biggest piece of crap in WW2 !
haha 10.1 kill per loss ratio
not really. russians developed the IS-4 as the answer to this.
You did a wonderful job on your first English speaking video. The contact was spot on as well.
I like...
That was an excellent presentation... liked much...
