    I am absolutely amazed at how fast Davinci completes stabilisation compared to Premiere Pro. I tried stabilisation on various clips the other day and experimented with the three stabilise ‘variants ’ and found ‘transition’ was the best - but usually find the default works best. Just pulling your leg here - love the way you shoot ‘hands free’ rather than ‘hand held’ 👍😀

    • @mariatlloyd
      @mariatlloyd 14 днів тому

      @paultsworld I know! I really thought it would be more technical. It's obviously not perfect, but it really makes a difference. Haha, oh yes, good catch on the hands free! 🤣 the laptop was, but the others were hand-held, of course! (Although one of them not me , so that was hands-free for me, I guess 🤣) I'll be more careful with the wording going forwards- thanks!

      @coffeelover1456 I don't think that's strange at all. It depends on how often you use the route! These I use these often but there are others that I use rarely and cannot remember at all! 😅 Just find the ones/ methods that work best for you 😁

    That’s a handy tool. Does DR have a way of asking the second image to ‘convert’ Its colour grade to look like the first image or do you always have to do it manually in the manner you showed here?

    • @mariatlloyd

      Thanks for your message, @Paultsworld . If the clips are shot in the same area/ same lighting then you can select a clip (or multiple clips) that you want to change and then right click on the edited one and select 'shot match to this clip'. You can also do this using gallery stills. Depending on what you wanted to do I think LUTs would be the best option to get a specific look. I haven't tackled these yet, but there are some good videos out there if you'd like to explore these more. 🙂

    While this is an effective method, you've got to be careful not to overdo it. It's advisable to turn on the qualifier and check whether the white(-ish) parts of your video are actually still close to the center of the vectorscope. Note that we are talking about color CORRECTION here. You might want to introduce a certain bias when attempting to achieve a LOOK afterwards.

    • @mariatlloyd
      @mariatlloyd 3 місяці тому

      Hi @christian-Schubert Many thanks for your comment! That is a really good suggestion to add that extra step to check the white parts. Yes, this is very much a cheat way to do this, and a professional will be able to spot the flaws a mile off. I’ve found it a helpful first step, though. My hope is to do another video at a later stage to replace this one (and others) and show a better approach. I'm looking forward to getting to that stage!
