Is it time to replace your running shoes!
That was very helpful
great explanations. How would these scott compare to a Salomon Speedcross?
Hey Colin - just ordered some yesterday - has the model change the stack height? You said 16/10 but their site says it’s like a 29/23 or something like that - has it changed over time? Not sure if you know thanks
Hi! Thanks for your review. I have Salomon Sense Ride and I'd like to try Inov Roclite 275. My only doubt regarding the insole, quite thin (8 mm.) how does It feels slow running on the white roads? Enough cushioning or do you feel the stones? Thanks a lot 😄
p.s. also how is the cushioning (any way better than this with still all the same benefits of Scott)’ - struggling with knees- maybe age or genetic…so like cushioning and maybe I do need to slow down to 6-7min/k…instead 4-5min at my age…😂!
Great review! Just bought one those! Happy I did! Will subscribe too for this!
Do hydration tablets fit in the softflasks?
Yes
@@runventure many thanks for your answer. I have a followup question. You mention that there is no zip on the back pocket but they should stay put. However, how does it perform when it rains? Will the rain just seep through the pocket? Let me know your advice on what to do when it is raining?
@@bilaltahir9978 you would need to use a dry bag on this and nearly all backpacks as none are waterproof
Any kind of motion control?
Nope..in fact the new Divide 2 is in store now and better
Do they irritate the Achilles Tendon on a long distance hike/ run?
Not for me. The lac of lace lock means the heel is stiff, but no issues that I’ve heard of
can support a 1.5L or 2L bladder?
Great review. I used to run with Adidas and Nike. But Hoka is something else. I am Hoka runner fun boy. Best brand.
If you want better traction on mud, The VJ IROCK 3 will do it.
Super helpful, thank you!
For a muddy day, what shoe do you recommend for a runner who loves to run fast down, and like to be cushioned. Love the Hoka Speedgoat Evo. However, the studs aren't that big on muddy terrain.
That’s a tough one and very subjective to your feet and running style but I would look at either the La Sportiva mutant or Lycan 2, or the inov8 x talon ultra although this may be too wide for you if you wear a Hoka
Thanks for an honest review 😊👍
Great review...I'm thinking of buying a pair..I own Salomon speedcross 5 and I'm 100% satisfied but I it's time for a change..Nikos, Greece.
folded mine right in half
This guy talks sense
great stuff, how would these compare to inov8 g 235? I think I can see them behind you :)
espen andersen completely different shoe The 235 is extreme flexible and lighter and much better in the mud Lugs harder wearing on VJ
@@runventure thx. running on the g235 now, just ordered the maxx for longer runs. Living in bergen norway, terrain is extreme, wet, rocky and muddy :)
I was trying 2 find my friends YT channel and I found this video, but anyways nice show review 👍
ultraLoganC thank you
Great video. Thanks. I’m considering moving from the SpeedCross to this and your info was so helpful.
Frank Clement it’s very good, but if you are a narrow foot this might now be too wide
Absolutely spot on review Colin. I have three pairs of the Maxx in rotation. The grip is beyond unbelievable. I've found them incredibly good over both short and long distance races (and also comfortable when when I need to run a road section between trails). I'll be up over the border from Cornwall to you for my next replacement. Re the width. I have wide (ish) feet but found the fit ok. But that is just my experience.
Pretty thing! 😍 The shoes alright too! 😉
Hey, great video! I was wondering if you could help me. I've been looking for a new pair of trainers but I can't decide. So I began my running journey with a pair of Nike Dart 9 trainers and absolutely loved them. I have a very wide, flat foot, I also have a neutral running style striking with the outside of my heel, rolling onto my big toe... I believe that this is overpronation. Could you please steer me in the right direction, it would be hugely appreciated, thanks again! :)
D. O'Connor your running style sounds neutral and you are supposed to roll over on to your big toe. That’s natural Look at a Wide Hoka Clifton, but go into a store and try some on
@@runventure Thanks for the reply! So I've been looking around online and the shoes that keep popping up are the Hoka's, mainly the Arahi, and Brooks, the Dyad. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available in-store in the UK. I've spent hours trying on trainers in stores and I'm extremely picky because I twisted my knees years ago using a pair that didn't agree with me at all. Thanks for your recommendation though I shall look into wide Cliftons.
D. O'Connor we stock the Arahi and can get the diad
What size should I get?, I’m a 9.5 UK in inov8 shoes
FiNsFilms 9.5 Uk They are narrow mind. Which inov8?
Run Venture Running Hub Talon 210 and narrow works with me👍
Hi! Thanks for the review! What sort of distance do you think this shoe would be ideal for? Would you use them for ultras? Thanks!
Zsófia Németh hi Yes, I used a former model on UTMB
How does it compare to the Gaviota?
Nevergiveup much lighter and a softer ride Less support though
Still gets a thumbs up, even if it's filmed portrait!
12mm drop ridiculous,like high heels.
Do you recommend half a size bigger, if I can slightly feel my toes against the hard front? I'm concerned that I'll have problems when I go downhill...
Blaž Marot hi Yes I would at least half size
