@@WingNuts2010 yeah sometimes it’s hard when you go with no sleep and you’re working on stuff then later you realize that’s the date I was working on it not the date it happened

Some.. one was at 7am the other at 4pm.. and months apart.. So lighting is different.

@@MarsEmbassy kool and thanks for snappy reply.. engines during the latest catch looked to burn much cleaner and was wondering how much was lighting differences as methane doesn't really have an orange flame like that which flight 5.exhibited

They were perfectly fine- SpaceX took the time to investigate and found that there is no significant impact to wildlife. The only thing that could startle them is the sonic boom, but they won’t get hurt.

@ Animals have much more sensitive hearing and senses. Take your children and leave them 200m from the starting point...

@ Of course, but when the starship launches all the birds leave the area. the booster returns and land 6 minutes after launch. i doubt that the birds would have gone all the way back there. Anyway, spacex has run tests and simulations on nearby wildlife ensuring that the sonic booms dont affect them. you can search it up yourself.

Pulling 10 G's at boostback burn, might say otherwise.

Agreed it was far more stable. However, I'd posture the data from 7 was better to comb over.

Watched an analysis video by Eager Space. The conclusion was that Falcon 9 landings are much harden than what Superheavy does. Both are hard but Falcon is harder as there are more variables such as ocean waves, the drone barge moving around and the fact Falcon can't hover. Superheavy looks cooler though.

its not really more stable because its fast, they landed slow the first time to not risk anything. Now that they have data they can optimize and make the burn more efficient, it is about 3 seconds shorter so the rocket is lighter and therefore has to burn less because of entry drag, its like, per k/g fuel and oxidizer you save, you save 3k/g. At some point they might not even to this sideways landing anymore because its quite inefficient.

@ The Booster's grid fins keep it stable (which needs airflow) without the need to active vector trust from the engines. It is like having two points to hold an stick vs keeping it balanced in one hand. The booster really is more stable at a higher sleep for landing and to reduce the amount of fuel saved for reentry.

@ they stop gimbling about half way through the burn, you can see it on the onboard cam. They only use TVC in final landing manuever

@@Peltwerk yes people have seen some issues with that now remind you it doesn’t actually see the color of the light but the placement of the brightest light. So if the wind’s blowing the lights and they’re swinging, it can get them confused.

Well it is not easy when I spend 10 to 14 hours a day driving uber to make a living right now.. There is so much I would like to do. So much footage I have that I don't have time to get to. Laptop is slow. takes long time to do anything... Trying to keep up with my timelapse videos at least.. Gives me a way to see what I might have missed while driving all day.. Takes a lot to make money on UA-cam and when you do it takes about 2 months before you see that money hit the bank. It is a catch 22 game

No they landed it in the abort zone. Then they activated FTS.

Yes.. And I love filming it.. I just wish I did not have to drive 10 to 14 hours everyday to make money.. I would love to work on so much more. I still have tons of pictures to go though of that launch and catch. And I know I will have more next time. FYI Average income for my channel is about $30 a month if I am lucky.
