The Science and Art of True Prayer
Science means organized, systematic and orderly knowledge. Let us think more closely about the science and art of true prayer. This knowledge is about the basic principles of life. It describes techniques and processes that can be demonstrated in your life or in the life of any other person who applies them with full faith. Your technique or process and the science behind it is the definite response of your creative mind to your mental picture or idea.
Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7
What does this wonderful verse tell us? It simply means that you shall receive what you ask for. When you knock, the door shall be opened to you and you shall find what you seek. In this lesson lies the certainty of mental and spiritual laws. The infinite intelligence of your subconscious mind always reacts directly to your conscious thought. If you ask for bread, you shall not get a stone.
You must ask with full faith, only then will you receive. Your mind moves from thought to object. Unless there is a picture in the mind, the mind cannot move, because there is nothing to move forward. Your prayer, which is your mental act, must first create your mental picture. Only then can the power of your subconscious work on it and make it a reality. You must reach a point of acceptance in your mind, unquestioning and complete acceptance.
Besides, there must be a feeling of joy and happiness of seeing in advance the fulfillment of your wish. The solid foundation of the art and science of true prayer is your knowledge and full faith that the activity of your conscious mind will be surely responded to by your subconscious mind, which has infinite knowledge and infinite power. In this way you will get the answer to your prayers.
