I thought it must have been Polderbaan runway that you were departing from. A good 10-15 minutes taxiing time, it's really out on a limb from the rest of the runways and the Terminal building at Amsterdam Schiphol.

Edinburgh Airport seems to have a lot of bad reviews on Google. Is it really bad?

I've never seen that much snow on an active runway at a major airport, presume the centre was clear so the could see it from the cockpit

I experienced the Embraer a little while back to Dublin. Super fast take off from City, and the seats were much more comfortable than the ironing board covers on those god awful A320 cabins.

We had a similar thing back in 2013, after the last flight of the day on the Saturday night we stopped halfway down the taxiway to do a weekly engine test, lasted a little bit longer than this one, did enjoy it mind. Our flight was already quite delayed by about an hour and half, the tea time Doncaster to Jersey flight had a reputation back then for being delayed every week.

Great trip report! :D I see that you have an action camera, you should buy yourself a suction cup, they're not expensive and they are really a life saver! You don't have to hold the camera.
