Love this! I havent been to Mason neck this year because the plant growth can be a challenge to paddle through - especially in the creek. But it looks like you made out quite well! I usually would tend to paddle around the Bay and around on the Potomac River side when conditions are suitable. Love sunset paddles!
I went kayaking when the tide was high. It was easier for me to paddle up to the creek during high tide.

@@AznSL I brought a frog fishing rod with me and cast several times but I didn’t catch anything. However I reeled a beautiful sunset as you said.
@ykim7080 Yeah I want to try frogging there again. Always hear fish coming up in the vegetation! I remember one day in the fall of went there and used a whopper plopper and popper, one of the best days of fishing I've ever had...

You this with the 2.5hp combined with the Jonny I can travel upriver at a medium slow current?
@@DUDEfreestyle I’m not sure about the river current where you are going to go, so I couldn’t give you a clear answer. I have the gas-powered Jonny boat to cover areas more than a paddle kayak when I go fishing. I’m satisfied with my setup when I fish on flat lakes and rivers. Don’t expect too much with a small boat and motor.

Nice looking trail. Do you use anything for bugs and ticks? What bike do you have? Been getting the itch to take my hybrid bike on dirt trails
@@traaaaan I didn’t use any repellents, but bringing one is a good idea. I have a Trek hybrid bike and a Trek Marlin 5 Gen 3 hardtail MTB. I rode my Marlin MTB on this natural surface trail. Good luck and happy riding.

@@prudentiaski The Old Town Occoquan kayak launch ramp. It is located beneath the Route 123 bridge at 111 Mill Street with plenty of parking spaces. 24/7 open to public and free. Good luck and happy paddling!
