the WIDOWS’ lesson: love is not zero-sum
Please pray for true repentance for all those living in adulterous and unholy unions; especially those who scandalize their children and community. San Antonio TX
Thank you, Father. This is also a reminder to pray for folks with big microphones!
Thank you very much. May God bless you all out there and all of us worldwide. Peace, good health and harmony.
😂😂😂 this is what I was looking for! Ever since you told me there was a video of getting dunked, I wanted to find this. You’re brave! I’m pretty sure not many priests would be willing to do that
I love it! I had no idea this parish got started at the beginning of the pandemic back in June 2020. What a blessing, the Holy Spirit was/is really at work here. The parish has come a long way already and I look forward to see what God still has in store for the future of this parish. Fr. Martin, you are doing amazing an amazing job.
Thank you Ft Martin, May God continue to bless you and your vocation.
Thank You, Father Martin for your reflection with your words of wisdom on generosity. When we give with our ❤, we will receive many Blessings from God.
I'll donate more as soon as the pope and all the clergy worldwide live a life of poverty like our nuns and monastery clerics.
Father I'm lucky if I can give $1-2 per mass that I attend
Thank you, Father Martin.
Amen.
Thank you for this important message, Father. I choose not to tell myself that "I am broken," but certainly to acknowledge that I know brokenheartedness, to feel that my body or mind is broken, and to have broken relationships... That in my weakness I need something supernatural to strengthen me. I find this language to be more helpful for bridge building with those who don't share my faith because they often associate religion with messages that they are bad, wrong, broken, etc.
Esposos que se casan por la iglesia se deben respetar Los que viven en unión libre no son casado viven sincompromiso
Staying, trusting, hoping and praying for those who have left to return and be welcomed 💙
Thank you, Father Martin! An important message to remember.
Yo father Martin i use to attend saint peters when you worked there I don’t know if you still know her but I’m Dianne’s grandson? Anyways I wanted to see what you did now but I just wanted to say keep going man you’re doing great!
Thank you, Father Martin.
John 10:10! Bodily or psychological healing isn't the ultimate end, but it sure does help us understand how God longs for us to live.
This one really spoke to me in a time of need , thank you
Have you taken the GIFT of eternal life?
Those people in the background were tending the garden. That is our true calling.
Thanks Father Martin We enjoyed your meditation of the readings very much. ...as usual!
You are very welcome!
We miss you Father Martin. Time for a road trip. Thank you for always helping all of us to connect and relate with the readings. I will never be able to express how important you have been to our family and probably so many others in guiding us through the reading, to regularly connect with mass and Gods Word, and to strengthening our faith. You have meant so much to us and certainly every community you have ever been a part of. We will see you soon. God Bless.
Thank you for the laugh -- it never occurred to me how Jesus' offering of peace "wasn't entirely effective" because they ended up locked up and scared again next week. 😅😅 How entirely relatable and comforting.
Great service ! Love my church 🥰😍❤️🙏🙌
I guess as a parish named for the ultimate Mother, it's fitting we "wait" a long time!
I suppose those who have tried to codify all this into law have failed because we were made for love and to love, so unless we actually love we will ultimately fail.
Always the best homily!
This story is sooo relatable 😅 Thank you for sharing it. I hope Donnie Rose knows it will help us. It's really no fun to spend one's life wishing people would burn in hell. Thank God for the grace to reconcile AND to learn to love people when that's not an option.
We come to understand that He is our everything. No matter what happens. He is with us always! He is our Savior! Through our formation, we learn that Jesus is the true son of the living God! He truly is our Messiah! My Lord and my God! This is who Jesus is to me! ❤
I would love to hear my fellow parishioners' responses to this question. I wonder if Jesus wanted the apostles to hear each other's answers, too.
I just joined Mary, Mother of the Church. I added my reply to your question. God bless and have a good day!
Great insight Angela!
This video includes a great message! Thank you! ❤😊
Thank you!
Looking forward to continuing to push the "people over programs agenda" at MOM 😅
Thank you! Absolutely doing your part Angela!
Thank you for faithfully uploading the Mass here. It it greatly appreciated on sick days. 🙏🏻 My prayers are with you in the coming week in a special way, Father Martin!
Hard to believe I could be that great pearl! Thank you for the challenges, Father.
On this one the thank you goes to Dr. McGurgan, with a few thoughts from Fr. Ron and Fr. John Foley, SJ. Challenging and Hard to believe for sure.
Thank you for this. I wonder if one of the Enemy's joys is how far-removed we can get from Jesus' parable context these days, as we're far-removed from the relationships built into Creation.
As a manner of speaking. Of course, the enemy has no joy.
Would you say the spirit of scarcity is a relative of the spirit of fear?
That sounds true. I suppose that sometimes a sense of scarcity leads to a spirit of fear, and sometimes a spirit of fear causes a sense of scarcity.
See an old article from Fr. Ron Rollheiser commenting on a reflection of Bishop Robert Barron when he was still a young theologian.
I meant to say that I put the link in the description, but since I said it would be in the comments here it is: Link to Dr. Susan McGurgan’s reflection: www.preachinghope.org/post/14-ot-a-running-twice-as-fast-~-dr-susan-mcgurgan Highly recommended!
Beautiful!! So grateful to everyone involved in this. 🙏🏻
Thank you, Father.
Thank you for helping us understand that necessity of leaving.
Thank you, Father. Very insightful. Hadn't really thought how absence can purify love. God bless🙏
This reminds me of Pope Francis' words; "God’s love is like the love of a mother. He never forgets us. Never. He is faithful to his covenant. This gives us security."
Beautifully said father…analogies or breaking down a message as you have is easily received and understood. You have spoken to us in the way Jesus spoke to his disciples,in parables, so that they could understand his message. Loved the insertion of your family life. It helps us understand that you have had family experiences. So many times we forget that you too have had a life outside of the priesthood. Thank you for sharing. * stopped by to find a church. Clicked on website and saw your message. I will see you soon. * enjoyed Sunday mass btw. You are so real it is refreshing!
Thank you, Father. The way you put this made me think of those who have been betrayed by those trusted voices, and my heart really breaks for them. I will remember them at Mass this weekend.
Thank you, Father Martin.
Thank you, Father, for this wonderful message. God bless!
Thank you for the reflection. It reminded me of how my faith is moving from being so concerned about results, to trying to live in the now with God. P.S. Way to go Nicole and Father Martin for the ELO clip 💥
Thank you, Father, for this very helpful reflection. God bless.
I’ve been watching the mass. What church is this? I know it’s a Catholic church but is it a little little church nice
