Man this is some good playing. I'm nervous about getting a real nice soft V 7.25" neck for my '54 blackguard build. I want it to be period correct but im worried I'll hate it, even if i don't mind higher than regular action. What's your action set at?

I own a vintage Fender from the Fullerton era. 7.25" board, miniscule vintage frets and I can shred like a lunatic on it. The neck is almost dead straight and the action is approximately .70/.50 (measured without a capo) it's the most comfortable neck I've ever played. Bending isn't a problem either. Just re-radius the frets above the 12th and you're good to go

I’ve been saying that for the las 14 years.

A lot depends on upon which strings you are bending at which fret (the tenth fret frequently seems to be problematic), how well the neck is adjusted, the fret levels, and your string action.
