I did not know, she has Alzheimer's. I can only imagine, how scared I might be, w/o the man I've been with, since I was just 16. The first time I ever considered how painful it might one day be, was a few weeks after my own mother had passed away, and my father sat in the front seat of her Ford Country Squire statin wagon. He'd only bought it a few weeks, before the surgery that would never have been considered, had he known how sick she was about to become. So, he and I sat, having the talk that she and I should have had. Was I sure? Was I as sure, as I was, that God created All? Once and done, for all time, because what we ask of God, and He Does, cannot be Undone. It would be like asking God, to undo the beauty of a Golden Retriever. Like asking Him to remove the scent of chicken, frying, on the first day of Spring.

What I don't understand is how she is still alive because she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007. The average life expectancy of a person who has it is between 3 to 12 years. Then again, some people who have it can live as long as 20 years, which I never thought that was possible.
