This was next-level coolness. Yes, I was out of my comfort zone, but after each training block, I felt more confident. hahaha...In hindsight, I should have done the BJJ earlier in the day. It's a lot to process, especially after you've been conducting shooting drills for 2-hours in the sun before. (really cool, as I had never done shooting drills around vehicles). As a veteran of the peacetime Army, it was a true honor to meet and train alongside a number of combat veterans from the Marine Corps-Sappers and one Army-Ranger. Not to mention, quite a few other very legit individuals. We're talking firearms instructors from dept. of state and other federal law enforcement agencies. I am ready for more! Maybe some CQB 😉

100% true. I live in western Oklahoma where it’s all countryside and small towns. I’d never move somewhere that they didn’t say hi to everyone or have conversations with strangers. Nobody ever meets a stranger. It’s like all of western OK is a group of like-minded, friendly people. If someone new comes in, they’ll either love it or hate it. The ones who hate it don’t last long. Most people come because they know it’s like this and it’s a slow, unstressed life.
