I can't even say how much I love Jim Henson's movies, and Labyrinth is one of my favorites. I've been planning this one for a while and finally worked up the courage (as a newbie to tapestry crochet) to make it! This is the saddle blanket that Sir Didymus uses to ride Ambrosius. I love your work!!
@@susanokari1347 thank you!
For linen yarn, you can try Lindy Chain from Knit Picks (weight 1, 70% linen and 30% pima cotton) or their Cotlin (weight 3, opposite percentages). People make garments from those regularly, especially Lindy Chain. I love how absolutely drapey Truboo is, but it's so slippery. Joining a new skein in the middle of a project is super stressful because the yarn has no friction and wants to just fall out of knots/joins. It split while I was working, but coming out of the joins was the major problem I had. Premier Bamboo Fair has 40% cotton and had so much more grip/texture like a regular yarn. It was much easier to work with than Truboo. It did not split on me any more than any other yarn does sometimes. I expect Lion Brand Coboo (51% cotton) would be similar, but I haven't tried it myself. That one should be findable at a JoAnn, at least.
@@ravensnow2931 thank you so much for the info! I really appreciate it 😃
Do you have this in different sizes? Love it!! Ty
@@TerriFoster-r4x thank you! I don't have it written in other sizes, but it can be made-to-measure
I too am guilty of taking scissors for granted. I am packing and all of the scissors in the house have disappeared. There is only so far you can get packing before you need scissors to cut the packing tape. I am so glad that you love scissors and are advocating for them. I will never take a pair of scissors for granted again. Thank you for making this video.
Happy Nov 1st !!! I love premier yarn!! They have the basix chunky 1145-06 Mustard. The yellow you found works!!! And the afghan came out awesome
I love this so much! That is my favorite movie ever!
Arr! The _Young Folks History of England._ Put like that, to me here in England... It is such an American expression... and an older American expression to boot! Good to see. with warm regards,
Have you read the _Northern Spain_ travel book? It was purchased for perfectly sensible reasons I am sure.
It's so cool that you found some more awesome Minnie Mouse! I love how different they are than the rest of your collection! I love that batik print top too. It's such a shame that it's falling apart.
You look so beautiful. i love the clear cane so much. Thanks for providing some inspiration for me!
I crochet a lot, but I'm confused with this pattern. I only wish you would show the whole sweater as you put it together. Seeing just the sleeves is very confusing. Thanks anyway.
such a fun video! glad that youtube recommended your channel 💕

this is one of the most beauutiful things ive ever seen 😍

❤
This is so kind off you to place pattern ❤❤❤❤
The first one is gorgeous!!! Is there a pattern for it?
@@JomkwanYai Thank you! No, unfortunately I didn't make a pattern for it 😕
Beautiful collection. I would definitely carefully repair them as much as I could if I were you. Someone has got to maintain these historic pieces!
Anyone attempt the pocket? I don't understand the process. Does ch3 go for every start or end of incr? Frustrating because all went well except the explanation of doing the pocket. 😢
finish the back after 2 weeks. Now I'm doing the front!! 👀
🤯thank you so helpful
I love it. The colors look so nice toggether
I commented before, but can’t find it now, Ignore what I said. Didn’t have my a.m. caffeine yet, you’re good.
Hi Jenn, I loved your hoodie. I made one for my daughter with caron cake blossom yarn in the rose color. I used HDC in the back loops only to make the vertical lines more prominent. She says that she'll wear it in our basement only - LOL! It looked great. I'll try to upload a pic soon. Thanks for this tutorial!
This is a great idea - I don't make videos but think I'm gonna try it next time I have a long crochet session planned. Also, I loved that star top that Jaida was wearing in the Chunky Boy handle video, too - I was so excited when I saw Jaida actually has a tutorial for it!
Yes, I'm super good at untangling now. I am also super cautious to only unwind what I need as I go.
Yes 💀
I will say that blocking is the most useful when using 100% wool or cotton fiber. I never notice much of a difference with other yarns because they tend to bounce back to the original crochet shape right after. Whenever I block wool or cotton, the piece literally takes on that exact shape and will not budge. Love the video! I also get stuck in my fiber art comfort zones. It’s a nice reminder that there are so many new skills to try!
@@jacielopez2280 thank you! And thanks for the info!
not me in the corner just writting all this down to try later
Like you I love to try out new stuff, I don't think I've ever done the same thing twice so far... (I'm only 1.5years in my crochet life, so I guess there's even more choice for me than for a veteran crocheter.) So far I've only truly blocked granny squares for a 3XL vest, but I think that if you want your sleeves to be longer, you really need to pin them down all stretched while they dry for it to work, I totally stretched my grannies when I blocked them. Also, I saw another youtuber use a steamer to stretch out and loosen up the pullovers she makes. Anyway, I look forward to your next video! Thanks for them!
I love how there seems to be no limit to the skills one can learn in crochet! I like the attitude of trying to learn stuff you didn't yet know. Also, love the pattern on that blue top.
Thank you! 😊
💫The wall hanging is RAD! Love it so much!

It's verrryyyy cute Definitely my next project❤

Longer flight tips I use as a hypermobile person: 1. Take claratin or other antihistamine beforehand to reduce joint and other inflammation 2. Stay on full dose of your standard pain meds for the duration of the flight (for me, this is ibuprofen) 3. Try to get a seat that goes flat if it is possible. 4. Set aside the day after the flight to just recover. I just stay in my pj's the whole day, eating food I packed, and letting my body remember how it is supposed to move and flow. 5. Consider using heat packs or menthol packs or whatever works best on areas that tend to stiffen. I put a heat pack on my low back (I recommend the foil sealed single use ones that last for 8hrs, but take them out of your bag to go through security, and don't put them on until after security 😅), and the traps and other neck muscles that work overtime to keep my head steady on the plane get menthol pads. 6. Any time you get up to go to the bathroom, keep walking around until your legs loosen up properly, not just enough to stumble to the bathroom. If you tell the flight attendants that you need to stretch your legs, they'll be fine with you walking up and down the aisle a couple times. 7. If you are staying in only one or a few locations at your destination, I recommend looking into luggage shipping options to get them from the airport to where you are staying without extra effort. The shipping options often have places directly in the terminal, so you don't even have to lift your suitcase over a doorframe bump before you drop it off, and they drop it off on your doorstep.
Thank you very much for the tip about bathrooms sometimes being closed on Sundays. I will be careful!
Great tips! Thanks for sharing :D
I’m so excited to start this pattern. I haven’t made clothing yet. Do you have the written pattern for a Large instead of a Medium?
I'm glad! I don't have a written pattern for the large, but you can add chains to the length and rows to the width, comparing it to another garment that size as you go.
I just wasn’t sure how to do that with all the stitches adding up for the arm holes and such. We will experiment. Thank you!
Jessica Kellgren-Fozard who is another youtuber with EDS mentioned once in her videos about this universal key that people with disabilities can get which allows them access to all the public bathrooms in the UK. Not sure if its actually *all* or if its like within major cities but that'd be really awesome to have here in the US. Or if there were a way for tourists with disabilities to get access to that key while in the UK. Good to know that some public restrooms are closed on certain days... would not have thought that that was a thing 🤷🏻♀️
rewatching so my view from the last upload still counts :)
That is so nice, thank you so much!
Good job 😮
So so cute 🥰
I loveeeed the yellow dress a lot 😅
I love the cotton shirt! That's gorgeous.
Thank you!
Finishing second sleeve now 😀 LOOKING AWESOME 😎 Thank you for this!
while not the cheapest shoe, my PT swears by HOKA shoes but the ones that are labeled as high support like the arahi or bondi style. paired with some custom orthotics they really make a difference
I had an endoscopy last year and after a week of pain and crying the nurse finally was like 'wow most of our patients feel better by now....' <- which .... no shit sherlock, why would I call the office crying asking if this was normal if I was a 'normal' patient. yay for connective tissue disorders = slow to heal
This is super cool! I'm so glad I found this pattern 😁 Just about to start!
also, etsy has become progressively more awful over time, it's not your fault things don't sell. I'm hoping to swing my stuff over into the shop feature on ko-fi but I've been on etsy for so long that it seems hard lol.
Love the top!!
Your hair is so cool
