Woah, this came on my recommended even though I haven’t searched anything related to Umineko in yeaaaarrrrs. What a blast from the past, I never understood the story lol it was too convoluted for me at the time

(Umineko story in the nutshell) A young boy met a young girl on their annual family reunion on their own family island. The two became friend and because the boy was the girl first opposite gender friend, she developed feelings for him. The boy made a promise to came back and play together. Next annual family reunion came, but the boy is not present. The the next year came, and the next year. And so. The boy was gone. Several years had pass, and the girl now was on her teen. Another family reunion had came. And suddenly the boy that always absent now show himself his all grown aswell. But the girl felt like she had been forgotten, her first love. (Although one sided) a surge of emotion runs through her, happiness, anger and sadness. That day a typhoon was bound to hit the island on where they at, making them stranded, and a rain came that night That night the cousin that few years older to the boy made a confession to the girl. But this confession made the girl unstable, if the boy didnt came she might accept it But, the girl has a big secret that she kept. Even if she accept the love of the cousins, she cant marry him because she is just a "furniture."
"Furniture" the girl referring to herself. Because she is an uncompleted person, incapable for love, or to bear a child. Because her kept secret was she this incident when she was still a baby were she was dropped on the cliff but to some miracle she survived, but the injury was so horrific they need to removed the injured part. And that was her genitalia. And so the she grows up in an environment knowing she is a "girl". But when she is growing up, she notice there something wrong. Even though she is a "girl" she didnt have the girl's monthly cycle. Even her boobs are not growing. This gave her severe inferiority complex to the point she make another self dressing up like a boy and the boy named "kanon" was born.
