How many grams of 18kt gold in the watch ?
I can't give you an exact number unless I disassemble the watch and remove the pushers/bezel. But the center links are 18kt gold as well as the bezel and pushers. I think that would be at least 12 grams of 18kt on the conservative side. Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment! Be sure to take a look at the other videos on my channel. You can see a 44MM Corum Regatta that is solid gold here: ua-cam.com/video/nDivr9QNyzE/v-deo.htmlsi=9dIMDjJqzUYNBM1p and a 49MM Breitling here: ua-cam.com/video/Zg3ljXW4UDs/v-deo.htmlsi=c0ZV6RzLOg_ebPhV
I have seen the brand when I travel, Ohio is an alcohol controlled state, so not great availability, I haven't jumped the one, I should try it, I've been meaning to get into independent bottlings, is this a blended malt? Slàinte!
You won't be disappointed. This is a blend and I agree about getting into the independent bottlers - I did it a while back and have enjoyed the risk taking they are willing to do. I will have the other versions up in a few months and will do a comparison along side the 30 year!
@@watcheswhiskeyswines would it be a blend of Talisker and Torabhaig then?
@@orlybriceno It's a malt and grain blend. Talisker is Diageo and Torabhaig is a newer producer for Isle of Skye.... but you have some good ideas that I will be sure to follow up on. I have been told in the past that Talisker is for sure part of the blend. Thanks for keeping the conversation going!
Does it come with gloves ??
This particular bottle does not come with gloves..... but it should!
@@watcheswhiskeyswinesweirdly I saw another video where they had gloves inside. Thanks for the information though. Kudos!
@@cyrilreji4089 Interesting, didn't know that. If we find a bottle with gloves, I will certainly make an update video. Thanks for the information.
Great video, very insightful! thanks for doing the work. Glenmorangie is my wife favorite distillery, I love it too, I'd say I am an Ardbeg guy, so between the both of us LVMH got us hehe, slàinte!
Thank you for the comment! The video will really give some insight into the differences and what I ended up really loving from this core selection. I love me some peat and smoke as well! I will be reviewing quite a few in the upcoming videos. I also plan on doing some comparisons as well. Stay tuned, please share the channel with other whiskey fans - like, subscribe and share.... that's how we grow!
😂
Thanks for the comment!
I've been considering Glenmorangie for a bit and came across your reviews. Ended up checking them all out. It's a big plus when someone covers a core range (or most of it). Lends some consistency, etc. Great idea to discuss food pairings as well.
Thank you for commenting and taking a look at all of my reviews! I'm putting in the work to contribute to our whiskey community. I of course will spend some time on watches and wines as well (this way we can all get some diversity) but whiskey has a special place in my heart. Covering a range in my opinion is very important, often times we can experience a singular expression from a producer and assume that is what they have to offer.... this is not the case. Covering as much of a range as I can really helps provide insights that may get missed otherwise. As for the pairings - this is my favorite part of enjoying whiskey and wines with friends/loved ones. They really get to see how complete an experience can be! Stay tuned, a lot more to come!
Gerald Genta is a true icon!
Agreed!
Great watches come from Tudor!
I see more coming on the horizon.
Hi I'm new to your channel on the hole you come across very well and the production is is great but sorry to be picky but you are pronouncing Tudor completely wrong . the name Tudor was named after the England monarchy and the emblem on the crown is the English rose 🌹 and the shield emblem is representing the coat of arms just thought it might be handy to know and the movement is a modified breitling movement with a 70 hour power reserve it's a very nice watch I own the black steel and gold great video thanks John 👍.
I appreciate the comment! I am always working on my pronunciation and I'm almost certain I will always make mistakes.... but thank you for the guidance! I love the emblem on the crown - that English rose certainly is special! Glad you made it here to my channel and I look forward to you coming back and leaving some more comments!
Great all around review! Thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting! More to come!
This video would’ve been 10x better if you actually tasted the whisky and gave a review of the palate. If you already have a fan base that’s okay with these one word descriptors, good for you. But this makes me worry that your watch reviews are like *puts on Rolex* “Heavy” *moves on with no context*
Yeah - I am pretty new to this. I'm sure I will get better with time. Thanks for the comment. I will take your advice and do my best to put it into action! Also when you visit the channel you can see the individual reviews of each whiskey. Hoping to make this a little more clear as we produce more videos.
cant wait to open my bottle for my birthday in november. its one ive been wanting to try for a while but the price has kept me from buying it. was able to pick it up recently on special for $209
What a great gift! Let me know how you feel about it after you open it!
Very well put together video . Better than ones who have millions of followers. Excellent review. Looking forward to ones to come. Macallan's, Glenfiddichs and GlenLivet's next.. Will be nice to hear ur opinions on those as well
Thank you so much for the kind words!! Yes, you will see a variety of different whiskeys in the pipeline. As the namesake also touches on.... we will be looking at plenty of watches and wines as well. Looking forward to more comments in the future!
I'm glad that you like the feedback, even if it seems a bit negative. I would be happy to recommend some whisky for you to try. They will all be high quality, craft presented whisky, and with that I mean that it will be atleast 46%abv, no chillfiltration and all natural colour, from the casks only (no E150a)...and with a fair price tag, atleast here on the Swedish market. In no particular order...and the price is in todays currency... Port Charlotte 10yo, Bruichladdich distillery, Islay, $79 Kilchoman Sanaig, Kilchoman distillery, Islay, $69 Deanston 12yo, Deanston distillery, Highland, $56 Edradour 12 Caledonia, Edradour distillery, $69 AD/, Ardnamurchan distillery, Highland, $68 Kilkerran 12yo, Glen Gyle distillery, Campbeltown, $68 Glen Garioch 12yo, Glen Garioch distillery, Highland, $61 Glenallachie 12yo, Glenallachie distillery, Speyside, $67 Craigellachie 13yo, Craigellachie distillery, Speyside, $60 Tobermory 12yo, Tobermory distillery, Islands, $63 Ledaig 10yo, Tobermory distillery, Islands, $56 Here's a little bit of everything, heavily peated, non peated, sherry matured, bourbon matured, sherry/bourbon matured and some with red wine maturation involved. A few tips...never judge a bottle by the neck pour, always pour the dram atleast 10-20 minutes before smelling and tasting (it needs to breath), try the dram neat at first, then try to ad some water (maybe 1-2ml at a time, in 2cl dram) and try to find your "sweet spot". The water almost always releases both smell and taste. And a small personal opinion, never ice in single malt whisky, it kills smell and taste. But on the other hand...one should have ones dram, as one wants... any way can be the right way to enjoy. It would be nice of you to give me some feedback if/when you try some of the suggestions above....your thoughts on smell and taste, and maybe the price tag on your market (the standard price, no discount price...its not relevant due to fixed prices here) Cheers
Love it. I actually have a few of these in my collection and I will certainly do a few review and give you a shout out for contributing! I agree about letting it breath a bit.... for the sake of timing in video I haven't done that, but maybe with some editing magic we can make that happen moving forward. Nothing you said has been negative, you have been honest and I can easily find support for your comments and I plan on really touching on these facts as I create more content for the channel!
@@watcheswhiskeyswines Well, I see that my list arrived at last. Just so you know, I did send an email via your website about this🌞
Very nice write up for Watches Whiskeys Wines. Your list is very solid and I’ve tried most of what you suggest (Tobermory is now on my list to try - thanks!). For the USA Scotch varies greatly by State. I drink what I like and for example I do like Dalmore 14, and I can pick it up for around $80 when in Nevada which I consider reasonable. Last time I was in Florida it was $130 so I passed. Watches Whiskeys Wines you are very brave focusing on Dalmore as whisky nerds on social media slam it hard core. My whisky nerd friends give me sh*t over drinking any Dalmore, but I don’t care - I like it.
@@PTLUX15 I appreciate the support! Of course I am open to all types of whisky.... so I think it is important that I have the courage to give everyone of them a chance! Honestly if my life is full of amazing Watches, Whiskeys & Wines..... that is a life worth living! @bluesmanen1 is a amazing - when I do the reviews and comparisons with what was suggested by him (coming very soon!), he will of course get the due respect he deserves for opening our eyes to many amazing additions I need in my life.
@PTLUX15 As always, it's a matter of personal opinions, there's no right or wrong....only opinions 🙏🍷cheers

I did send you some suggestions of whisky, quite a few...but my answer to you is not visible here for some od reason🤔
Yeah - I don't see it either. Feel free to send direct if you are able to.
Five, heavily overpriced, low %abv (except one), chillfiltered and fake coloured whisky (lots of E150a)....why even coment the colour when it's fake🤔....it's not bad whisky, just inferior to what it could have been
Love the feedback! Can you share a few whiskeys that I can review on the channel.... would love to bounce some ideas off of you. Thanks!

It's always nice to see a review of a whisky, to see and hear another persons opinions. But in this case, and with Dalmore's core range in general...lets agree to disagree. Imho...This is really good example of an inferior product, and I will tell you my opinion on why..... To begin with, it's extremly overpriced, atleast on my market (Sweden) it's sek3100 ($300), I mean, it's a NAS whisky. It's diluted to a low %abv, and therfore stripped of smell and taste. It's chillfiltered, even more smell and taste is stripped out of it. The colour is fake, it's loads of E150a, not a beautiful natural colour, colour that comes from the casks only. To put this one in the same cathegory as Glenfiddich Gand Cru is quite fair, it's also an inferior, overpriced pruduct with bad specs. But the Glenmorangie Signet is atleast a craft presented whisky at 46%abv, no chillfiltration and natural colour...but still heavily overpriced, sorry to say. But in the end, it's just a matter of personal opinions on the matter of quality. P.S. It's a really great idea with the paring stuff. Cheers
Your opinion is great honestly.... I really like your perspective and look forward to having discussions with you on a regular basis and possibly making a video to make this exact comparison you are discussing. Thank you very much!
Lots of guys seem to love this scotch but I’m not a fan. I prefer high end Islay peat bombs. Dalmore colouring is ridiculous!
I'm not a huge fan either. But for sure...... peat bombs work for me. I pair with some lighter chocolate normally - love it! thank you for the comment!
Nice. This one is quite ok, but not more. The package is nice, the bottle is beautiful....but the content could be so much better with higher abv, no chillfiltration and natural colour. Regarding the colour....it's E150a, not a natural colour, sorry to say. Four boxes to tick, to get a good whisky: 1. 46%abv, or higher 2. Non chill filtered 3. Age statement 4. Natural colour And I know it's all about personal opinions🌞🍷cheers
@bluesmanen1 I don't disagree. Every whiskey has it's special place in someone's ccollection. For me, this was just a bit too harsh. I plan on enjoying it with a cigar to give an update. Thank you for the dialogue!
Thank you very much for the comment! I think every producer goes through there golden periods and their periods of decline. We will have some comparison videos that will do their best to cover as much of this as possible. Remember - if you have anything specific you would like me to visit, I will source it and give a fair review. Cheers!
Nice video. In the beginning of my time with whisky, about 20 years ago, Dalmore, especiall this one, was my favourite dram. But now, after all theese years and lots of different whiskies, I must say that that I never buy any Dalmore and that's because, in general with the core range, and imho..... it's heavily overpriced, low %abv, chillfiltered and fake coloured whisky...it could be so much better. It's such a pitty that Dalmore deliver thier whisky with really low specs, not craft presented, sorry to say. If one have the money for a bottle of any Dalmore....imho, there's so many better options with craft presented whisky. Cheers
I have heard something similar about other producers as well. My brother really enjoys Dalmore and opened his mind to the possibilities. I will have many more of The Dalmore on this channel and we will have some comparisons. Stay tuned and I always appreciate the comments!

Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! See you here again.
Do any one of them not have added colors?
It is very hard to say - caramel coloring is usually added in a minute amount to keep the color standardized across quite a few distilleries. Let's hope at least the Signet has no coloring added. I will certainly get details on an upcoming trip to a few distilleries. Thanks for the question!
Good content I like the way you compared them thanks for the knowledge!
@aayushdesai4891 you're welcome, looking forward to sharing more comparisons.
Cool video! Wouldnt expect the 12 tasting like a bourbon, ima skip this one hahaah
@@renatomelo2249 it is worth a comparison to the others if you get your hands on a bottle.
It really doesn't taste like bourbon, he's talking cap
Yeah - was from my perspective. But I am always open to going for a second tasting and seeing what I think.

My god, it is massive.
No joke... this is a serious watch. It's fun!
Hello, can you please tell what wrist size do you have and whether this model isn't too thick for you?
Hello - I don't think it is too thick. But thickness isn't something I think about. I enjoy the way the watch feels on my wrist and it the glass domes on both sides and feels good overall. My wrist is about 7.25 inches in diameter.
I just ordered a bottle for a gift, I'm trying to order a wooden box to put it in for a gift. Could you possibly tell me the dimensions of the package it comes in? I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for watching and also commenting - the measurements come out to: 6 3/8" W x 13" H x 4 3/4" D
@@watcheswhiskeyswines Thank you
Front bezel looks like a Daytona copy or is that just me
Omega Speedmaster first 1957 Rolex Datona 1963 so the Datona is more of a Speedmaster copy
Thank you for the comments! I actually think that they don't copy each other. Every watch shares similar designs and this is obvious between these two watches as well. The bezel on the Speedmaster is a lot more compact and sharp compared to the bezel of the Daytona. They both have an iconic look and when you have them in your hand... which I should probably do a comparison on this channel - you can see and feel the differences. Looking forward to more comments!@@samzerafa3185
