Bloodhounds: My Favorite K-Drama of 2023
Bloodhounds is a K-Drama that got released on Netflix this year to pretty resounding acclaim, but for some reason not many people I've talked to know about it. Despite it flying under a lot of peoples radars, it seems to have some of the best directing, acting, and fight choreography out of any K-Drama I've seen. And all of these things and more have helped cement its spot as my favorite K-Drama of this year.

This Manga is About Minecraft

I usually make videos on series that really affected me in some way or another. Series so incredible that I felt like I had to talk about them no matter what. This is not one of those videos. I was scrolling through some new manga the other day and found this stupid series which blatantly bases its core mechanics off of the video game Minecraft. The manga itself is very much unremarkable by mos...
Ranking Every Boss In OMORI
Переглядів 528Рік тому
Omori is one of the most beloved indie games of all time for a lot of reasons, and one of the biggest ones for me at least is the combat. The emotion based combat system is so fun, the moves and items you get are all so unique, and on top of it all, the bosses are some of the best, most exhilarating experiences to play through in any game I’ve ever seen. But even among all of these exceptional ...
I finally played OMORI
Переглядів 667Рік тому
I've heard about Omori from so many different people over the past few years and not a single person told me I shouldn't give it a try. And after a tiny bit of digging, the game seemed like it was right up my alley. It's anime styling and amazing soundtrack combined with a surprisingly addicting combat system drew me in immediately. And so I finally decided to give the game a shot. I wanted to ...
The Moment Sword Art Online Did The Impossible
Переглядів 1,6 тис.Рік тому
Sword Art Online has a terrible history as a franchise. It's been clowned on to such a point that it's commonly thought of as the token trashy anime. Almost no other series has a reputation as terrible and as widespread as this one does, and while some of it may be a bit much, much of the hate is pretty well deserved. The first two seasons of this show are littered with disappointment after dis...
You Should Give SAO Season 2 A Chance

Sword Art Online is a show with a bad reputation, and most of it is completely justified. But I set out to watch the entire catalog of mainline properties in this franchise in order to answer one question, is it all fair. When looking at the first season, I came to the conclusion that it was all bad. Aside from some noteworthy elements that are often overlooked, there was basically nothing good...
So I Rewatched All of Sword Art Online Season One...
Переглядів 856Рік тому
Sword Art Online is a massively famous show in the anime community for all the wrong reasons. Even those who have never watched the show seem to know about all it's shortcomings and many problems. And while it is true that these problems are abundant especially in the earlier seasons of this show, the franchise is far from all bad. There is a surprising amount of good content coming out of the ...
The Biggest Problem With The Shonen Genre
Переглядів 15 тис.Рік тому
Shonen is the dominant genre in the market of anime and manga. It appeals to everyone with it's versatile nature and universally understood themes. However in the warzone that is the Shonen marketplace, there is a huge issue brewing. A certain trope that's been popularized by many of the biggest Shonen around is ruining a lot of stories that aspire for greatness. this trope seems to have been g...

Shounen no Abyss is a pretty intense series, it may seem at first to some as just a shock factor manga, something meant to draw a reaction out of you with tragedy and sadness, but on deeper inspection this isn't the case. The story has genuine depth and emotion, complex layers of characterization and creativity that surround the story. Each character in this world is distinct and real, they rea...
Btooom: Which Ending is Better
Переглядів 7 тис.Рік тому
Ending a story requires a complex understanding of the characters, story, and most importantly the audience's expectations. To appropriately cap off a series needs tact and skill, which is why so many stories struggle with mediocre endings. However, sometimes the simplest solution is also the best, instead of attempting to guess the audience's preference for a story's ending, why not just make ...
The Greatest Sci-Fi Manga Of The 90s(Blame!)
Переглядів 11 тис.2 роки тому
The 90s were a time of violent action and surreal stories, and I think no manga better embodies this concept than Blame! Blame! is a series from a time far in the past, and because of that it is a world away from any sci-fi manga, anime, or just stories in general that come from the modern day. Blame! is all about the world, every single chapter is in service of building up the locals and areas...
Why Does Everyone Love Solo Leveling
Переглядів 4782 роки тому
Solo Leveling is one of the most famous manhwa series of all time, it's one of the only manhwa that has managed to reach out of the somewhat niche sphere of Korean comics, and become famous throughout the anime and manga worlds. But looking in on the franchise, it's hard to really pinpoint one definite reason why everyone loves Solo Leveling as much as they do, so I set out today to try and fin...
Is Chainsaw Man Worth Watching?
Переглядів 1,7 тис.2 роки тому
Chainsaw Man is an insanely popular manga that's been taking the world by storm over the past few years. Because of this, it was only a matter of time before the manga was adapted into an anime. But despite the good reviews that this series has scored since its release, I was still not too sure if it was worth keeping up with this anime extensively if the manga provided such a whole experience ...

Sword Art Online has a bad reputation in the anime world, but behind the layers of poor execution and squandered potential lies an actually really interesting and unique story. Sword Art Online progressive is a reboot of the original season one of sword ar...

A Horrifying But Captivating Tale(Master of Gu)
By trying to understand the story, by watching the OVAs, by reading the artbook and the interviews in which the author complains of having been too opaque in his story, which forced him to change. I've discovered 3 possible endings for Blame and fort last, the author has never disowned it because it is unpublished. Manga can be read in 3 different ways, there are 3 meanings. 1. The first is the classic linear reading mode, which is what 95% of people do. 2. The second, after thinking about it, reading the two epilogues and the OVAs, considering the beginning as well as the end, and what that leads to. 3. The third, which is new, after having thought about the incoherences, the details, Blame NSE in its original version and read the interviews where the author laments that nobody understood him, we can place the beginning at EX LOG Nest Ruins, and there it's the hero who breaks the system off-camera after having lived through a particularly hard loop of memories, which requires rereading volume 1 twice. Which is the meaning of the disappearance of the city's masters in the epilogues. LOGs 1 to 7 are the end, but in a way they're also the beginning: the story's present is EX LOG Nest Ruins, and in the last panel the hero is shown living out his fateful moment, after LOG 8, it's a return to the past through the LOGs, which are recordings linked to Killy's journey (in the LOG 8 double-page spread, you'll find an entrance in the middle of the mist, a common metaphor for onirism and the entry into dreams), these recordings can also include dreams (this is stated in the artbook). When you've reached LOG 65, you have to go back to LOG 1 until you reach Nest Ruins, and then you have the finale, which is Killee facing the Government Agency, angry at having been betrayed. And in the original version of Blame NSE, which was to be a sequel, it's said that Killy reached the Agency, and then the masters disappeared, but in the final version of Gakuen and so on, it's only said that the masters have disappeared. In Blame 2, the masters have also disappeared. So you have to understand that Blame's finale led to the destruction of the Agency, which in turn destroyed the countermeasure, without any clear explanation being given. I think to understand Blame, you have to watch everything, not hesitate to take note of what's going on. It's environmental narration, not classic narration, just like in the Scorn game. To understand, you have to try to understand what the author has done. Colors also have a meaning: red is linked to power, for example; in an artbook illustration, Killy's hand is red, because he is the hand of power at that moment; on the cover of Noise, the heroine's hand is blue, as she is wearing a red jumpsuit, to reflect that she was a policewoman, and therefore linked to power, but her hand is blue, because she rebelled against power to fight for the life that blue reflects. 0:19 the marine fauna represents an anomaly, a dream or a memory, LOG can be a dream also. 8:05 the sphere has a double meaning: in its first sense, it's the unborn child; in its second, it's the power of the agency at the center, which seeks to extend to the city in blue; the circles are a metaphor linked to power.
I don't know how i even found this series but im glad i did
i loved this manga it was too good
... The word is blame. Bluh-aim. How do you think the word blame is prounounced blam. In what world ever has ame sounded like am? Shame, lame, game, dame. Do you say gam, sham, lam, dam?
the original name is Blam, americans translated it wrong to Blame
0:00 Anime also doesn’t have the best track record ever when it comes to being good adaptations of manga either sometimes…
I don't know why but I felt so addicted to this manga, I recently finished it 2 days ago and I can't help but think and feel so bad for the characters. I wish to make a story where they could've lived peacefully and didn't have to suffer. It's making me insane
that’s the only reason i turned 18 and a senior of high school
Isn't this Reverend Insanity?
Dude is jealous of riyota . 😂 Getting married to a total hotte. 😂
The wildest thing about them leaving Gloria is that she IS employed as a part of EMS and isn’t covered by a system she directly works for.
What're your thoughts on the ending?
I actually think the anime adaptation was pretty fantastic visually. Especially in regards to the dragons themselves and the lighting and the hunting itself i think it knocked it out of the park, even if the visual style is very different from the manga Where i think it's mediocre is it's pacing, as it slows chapters down to a crawl and sometimes takes the entire episode to adapt a single 25 page chapter with little happening in it Definitely hoping for another better adaptation down the line, but i think it's fair to say the one we have isn't terrible
I think it's time to allow the MCs to stand alone at the start. Allow them and the reader to see the world without outside characters who quickly take over the plot and the MC falls to the wayside.
Hunter X Hunter doesnt fit with what u laid out.
Fang yuan is one of the greatest written characters in the novel space as a whole, if you ever choose to read the webnovel for reverend insanity i'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised with how far it is elevated above it's already decent manhua adaptation
SPOILERS ALERT ! i feel bad for Shibasawa , she's the sanest person (to me) who always helped Reiji get better , she should have had her happy ending with Reiji( best ending) (+ its rare to see someone so dedicated to someone they love)
she was an actual yandere but despite that I did truly want her to win in the end
Truth Goodness and Beauty are objective
Spoilers ahead Theory why fang yuan isnt nice to fang zheng also spoils up to chapter 1000 ish I have a theory for why fang yuan is mistreating his brother and isn’t manipulating him by being nice to him and its because of fate gu influencing his mind as it plans to kill off fang zheng. Fang yuan will eventually leave gu yue clan to go to yi tian mountain and completely screw over spectral soul demon venerable and shadow sect but fate gu wants fang zheng dead as he is fated to die so it manipulates fy into chosing to be cold to fang zheng so that he stays with fang yuan thats until FY’s shenanigans end up causing bai ning bing and fang zheng to become fate escapees
Read the novel, it's a masterpiece in a lot more aspects than the manhua, especially the bear scene, or the twins scene those are such beautiful moments (lol)
The fact you called shounen a genre automatically means you dont know what your talking about
I wish you had made the title more accurate to the video then
MINECRAFT SEX UPDATE
I admit, after the manga, I went to the novel, reached chapter 200+
Shonen is a demographic, not a genre. Didn't watch.
Didn't think either. You didn't miss anything though.
It doesn't really have a trope name, but fans do refer to what you're describing as either "urban fantasy shonen" or "exorcism battle shonen", in which the manga revolves around an organization combating a group of demons or spirits or monsters, with the main character being half monster themself.
I just call them Bleach clones or the Bleach formula, but I also define the trope as being more narrow. I don't think It's fair to lump in literally every anime/manga where the protagonist works for an organization. At that point just call it the origination trope. I feel like 80% of the video struggle to defines something that's not that complicated.
Technically YuYu Hakusho kinda did the formula first.
Shonen is for kids and angsty teenagers......slice of life is for adults
Slice of life is inherently defined by it's lack of entertainment value. It's like how a drama is defined by having a serious plot but a lack of entertainment value aside from it's plot, but the plot should be enough. However slice of life is a genre for media that lacks a story that's engaging enough to be considered a drama, lacks enough or all comedy to be considered such, lacks enough or all action to be considered such, lacks enough or all horror to be considered such, lacks enough or all romance to be considered such, and lacks enough or all eroticism to be considered porn or any of the plethora of euphemistic synonyms. Slice of life is inherently boring by design. Slice of life is for adults who find entertainment through living vicariously through fictional characters and their mundane actions. You should be ashamed to be a fan of slice of life.
Yeah cause something like chainsaw man and attack on titan is for dem kiddies of 7 to 10💀
@@MrSai-mn8wz 14 year olds are kids too.
2 ending right?
its a great story, the writing was amazing, and the art style is breathtaking, and the characters feel real. If your debating on starting it, it's best to know before hand that it's... a lot to take in. But you most likely wont regret it.
dungeon reset did it better
7:00-And no one mentions or even brings up the 11 year age gap between Kenshin, who is 28 years old and Kaoru, who is 17 years old from Rurouni Kenshin. Mostly everyone finds the relationship in Bungou Stray Dogs between Atsushi, an 18 year old Were-Tiger, and Kyouka, a 14 year old assassin, really creepy and problematic. And yet no one calls out who creepy Kenshin and Kaoru's romance is.
Master of gu can't be compared to it's novel(reverend insanity), it's my favourite novel totally worth the time
This manga is peak after finish it I feel like something in me change, my life haven’t been that nice. This manga just make me feel too many relatable things
Shonen ISN'T a gene. It's a demographic. "Shonen" means it's written for boys aged 12-18, nothing more.
the manga is for the author i actually really like it (not for 18+ stuff) the story isn't half bad either
i love the way the mc runs
Are you gone?
Nope still here! I have a bunch of scripts written but haven't gotten the freedom to voice them yet cause school T-T. I finally got around to recording one and am working on editing it! Hopefully with summer I can get back into a solid rhythm with things, I appreciate you sticking around tho!
It's a really good manga, very intresting.
Of the 90s more like of ever. No sci-fi comes close.
80 years into future: Blade Runner/Alien 800 years into future: Star Trek 8000 years into future: Dune 80000+ years into future: Blame
Maybe more maybe less who knows
Great video!!!! Very well made!!!! Keep it up!!!!
Love thie manga. So damn good
i still stand the statement that Save has the most tragic background in the whole series. i just finished it yesterday since i dont see much site to read it from except from one site with vip thing still, i already did it! spoiler btw... that is why im not satisfy at the end where i didnt see a glimps of him for many years where file and eclet grew up... i want to see how elec changed him... did he got over end's death? are they good? are they having better times now? did both of them leave the fairy tail land? did save become mature by then? or did he at least... grew up even a little bit? are they a little happier now? many question left unanswered... thats is why im fantasizing and planning on creating an au where they can be... a vision of them being happy. elec and save has the hardest time, for me, of this series both the past and present thats why... i hope them to be okay. and i dont know the author, where i can follow some update... T^T (if y know pls tell me, imma follow) (and i read it silyeong not shilyeong, author's name... maybe translation error, still, love to follow them) thats also why... thank u for creating this video, it means to me a lot. i read end and save pretty much near the beginning but having trouble updating where to read thus left unattended. given the fact the series too is not that popular.... so thanks! very much! this story is one of my favorites!!!
YEEEESSSS! Someone did it! thanks for making vid about end and save! btw, im not satisfied at the prologue since i didnt see elec and save after all those year T^T
Its actually Minecraft+Skyrim+Ark(minecraft at most)
thanks for the video, keep going love your work keep crafting your vision bye
Shonen isnt a genre, its a demographic and even if we were we're specifically just talking about weekly shonen jump manga when we're talking about it. Shonen magazine and shonen sunday mostly have vastly different styles of manga. Fairy tail and inu yasha tend to be exceptions to the rules rather than the norm. Heres how to find out if a manga is shonen or seinan or shojo and how deep this catagorization genuinely is: read what magazine the manga was published in. If its in a shonen magazine, its shonen. If its published in a seinan magazine, congratulations! You're reading a seinan! Vinland saga began in a shonen magazine, shonen sunday to be precise, but was moved to a seinan not because it was too mature or violent or dark but because it was going to start being far less action packed and more philosophical and medatative. I'm sorry but this genuinely gets annoying to me. Its like putting signifigance in movie ratings.
Whatever
Shonen is a genre. A genre is a collection of tropes and features that sets the expectations by comparing itself to other items within the same genre.
why do people pronounce "isekai" as "izekai", its "icekai"
The biggest flaw here is that shounen is not a genre. It's a demographic.
I never thought TQQ would be considered Shonen as its labeled as Harem
its from alita the battle angel
