English: This is a channel where I post things that've happened in my life, music, dogs and recently gardening, mainly in Norwegian, but I'm trying to learn how to add subtitles. Not a gardening channel, and I have no plans of growing my channel and monetise it, but of course, you are free to subscribe if you want to.
Iskald oppdatering på tampen av sesongen.
English: Although we luckily don't have frost yet, filming this felt freezing because of the wind. Still enjoying flowers and crossing fingers for the tomatoes. Habaneros don't seem to mind the cold, but the jalapeños have mostly stopped performing. It's near the time the plastic greenhouse is turned into a wood shed. I bought a pot of coriander/cilantro and will distribute in pots and planters once I have regained feeling in my toes.
In the pallet collar bed, I've left much garden waste, even the peas that looked rotten when I cut them down. They have now started sprouting, which is great. There won't be peas on them, but it's a good cover crop. Anything that grows and make roots is better than bare soil. I've left much of the monarda stems uncut as they are hollow and can make a winter house for some small bugs. I didn't get any flowers on the monarda, but it's its first year, so that might be the reason. It has spread out all over that pot, so I might see it again next year. Hopefully the lavendar will come back too, as they've only been tiny this year and not flowered, probably also because they're from seeds and on their first year.
I also looked at some lilacs sown from seeds. Don't think they'll make it through the winter, but I only wanted to see if they could be grown from seed, and the answer is yes. And by my paris market carrots, I'd put down a cut rose that a friend brought, and it's actually grown some leaves, so that's a nice surprise and wonder of nature. I just plonked it in there and cut the head off when it was dying off and didn't give it another thought until I saw some new growth.
I believe the mic cut off in there, sorry for that, it's my stupid phone that cant keep anything plugged in.
This might have been the last update for this season as it's getting way too cold.

September. Nedklipp tomat, Lenis bursdag, blomster og bier.

English: Although the weather is very nice today, the forecast for next week says it's time to cut down the tomatoes. Some of the plants have also had fungal issues and I thank them for their effort this season and say goodbye. Leni stole the best looking tomato behind my back, but it's her fourth Birthday, so it's like she picked her gift. I'm keeping the cherry tomatoes and the mystery tomato...

English: Oslo is surrounded by forests with both easy and challenging trails. I foraged a few blueberries and lingonberries, but Leni didn't see the point, as she doesn't care for either.
Høst i august.

I came across #realfoodcomesdirty when searching for tips on how to grow ginger. Audrey started a grow ginger challenge which I followed although I already had 5 sprouts. This is what I have now at July, 31.
Balcony tour in English

While searching the net for useful tips on how to grow different crops, I stumbled upon such a sweet corner of the Internet. The gardening community, especially on UA-cam. There might be disagreements, but there is no fighting or harsh words. People are really friendly, supportive and helpful. I'm trying to make myself understood in English, hope I didn't mess up too bad. I mainly make videos f...

Deshedding a bull terrier

1. Find a place with short grass and sandy soil, like this sports field. 2. Encourage rolling. If your dog will not roll, it's either to wet, too cold or you don't have a bull terrier. Also, a rubber brush helps.

For international viewers: This is "my" growing space at work. My task has been worded "grow something and make it look nice". I have a lot of other responsibilities and rush in here and do as much as I can when I can. Someone else started this years ago and lots of different people have been involved. There are pallet collar beds t...

Wrapped up warm ☺️
Yes, but garden clogs do not keep me warm for 30 minutes now, my toes were so cold after this. 😅 I worry another cold winter is coming. Getting wood delivered next Friday and need to change the greenhouse into a wood shed.
@@trold1969 cosy log fires 🔥 and thermals are not far away!! It’s cold here this morning for the Malvern RHS show, but hopefully warming up later 👋
Very nice sharing 😊😊
They do it because it tickles so nicely
👍👍
Super cute! 😍
im annoyed already..10 seconds
🤣
Looking great going into fall.
The dog that stops to smell the roses.. 👍💙🐕
My Roxie does this. Getting her "free tickles" I call it! Getting a bully in from the garden takes an age once they are in trance mode.
bull terier in water! Very fine! bull terier in wood! Very fine too!
Thanks! ☺

@@trold1969 they are amazing literally couldn’t own any other dog breed
Great content 👌
Thanks!
my bull terrier does this around bushes

WOW the ginger looks fabulous. Mine took a hit once I transplanted it outside, but has made a come back. I started more a different way and I will plant to keep on the inside like you are doing. Well Done!
Thanks Robin. I thought I had to do something special, like there was some magic trick, but there is no hocus pocus, it wants the same things as other plants obviously and then it grows. ☺ It tastes good too.
@@trold1969 I'm excited to taste mine.
Everybody enjoys a face tickle every once in awhile.

Miss my EBT too 💜🕊
Bull terrier contemplate their meaning in life😊
Thanks for providing at tour in English! Great to see all the things you have growing.
They all do it, but why?
I think its something with bushes, stalking prey instinct kicks in? Idk but mine only does it around certain plants/bushes lol
TY for doing a tour in English. It's so interesting to hear/understand the details of your growing space. Coriander/cilantro likes the cool weather. If you start it again soon, you should enjoy it without it flowering/bolting for the autumn. Actually I looked up your first frost date, and you can get 2 couple successions of coriander even. I need to get more going too. I did morning glory the last 2 years....both times it did not flower until 1 week before the first snow.🤣 Do you ever do a liquid fertilizer? A few of your pots look like they might benefit from a liquid feed boost...especially those with multiple things together. There are many good organic products on the market these days. I always find I have to feed my potted plants more regularly than the in ground as they use the available nutrients faster. I hope your weather improves for growing. Your English was perfect, and your balcony garden is amazing for only year 2 of gardening!
Thank you for your kind words, Robin. Yes, I do give a liquid fertilizer once a week, not organic actually, I think NPK is NPK whichever method was used to make it. And there is still fear of aminopyralid in the organic ones over here. I've also side dressed with chicken manure "pearls". It's been raining too much, I think the nutrition has been washed out. I see it in my strawberry tower how those plants further down are greener even though they've had less sun, because they haven't been soaked. I will do another round of chicken manure, hoping slow release will help. The forecast looks a lot better towards next weekend. The summer might come back, yay! It's easier when I can control the watering. My neighbour has transparent roof over her balcony, she's away and I have the key, so I carried my triangular flower pot over to hers to dry it up. I'm happy to see the plants I gave her are thriving over there, not so shady, hardly any wind and no rain.
@@trold1969 It's definitely the rain then. The synthetic fertilizers work quicker than organic. Always something going on the garden. So many things you can't control. I try to time things....harvests etc. so I can be ready to preserve. However, that rarely works out🤣
Cute dog!
Thanks! ☺
Those pink blossom strawberries are gorgeous
Yes, no idea what variety it is, it was only marked "strawberry" and sold at our local grocery store. I don't really have the space, but just had to buy them. Never even seen that before. Btw, I had my first ever patty pan for breakfast this morning. Sliced it up and put in in the air fryer and then on bread with herbs and bunching onion. Yummy.
WOW he’s grew into one beautiful 🐽snort 😂 best breed ever!❤(can’t believe she spins on command 👏
What a gorgeous bundle of fun!!! 😁😙💕
She usually comes when called, and I asked her to stop and wait for me at the end of this clip because I saw a woman stopping and holding her dog further ahead on the path. I put the leash on Leni so we could safely pass each other.
Yes, she suddenly snaps out of it. Sometimes I don't understand she has tranced until she suddenly burst out of a bush or high grass.
Good training!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Very cute dawg❤
Wow you have grown a lot on your balcony. I have repaired the holes in my zipper green house with clear packing tape on the inside. Jalapeños are coming along nicely.
Thanks, yeah, I grow more than I have space. Well, there is a little more space where there's no sun since I'm on the east side of the house. Also I have big trees shading. Yes, I will need to tape the greenhouse. It's only the second year I'm using it, I thought it would last longer, but it's quite windy sometimes and the cover rubs on the metal. I took the cover off before the winter, strengthened the roof with netting and had a tarp over it to use the area as a wood shed. The holes in the leaves on the outside cucumbers and patty pan are from a hail storm the other day. 😞June is very cold this year. One more week of cold weather, then it should warm up again. I actually used your expression in this video - when looking at the tiny seedlings which I'm not sure if are alpine strawberries or from the nearby aspen tree - sometimes the only thing you harvest is knowledge - and that's OK. So true! ☺It's only my second year growing and I have so much to learn still.
Omg what an absolute cutie pie! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She's gorgeous❤

Thanks. I have a tree year old now, almost as crazy and silly, but I have trained her to be a little calmer.
😂🎉Grande 🎉
❤️
She was a beautiful happy little dog I still miss my little zeus after 17 years
