Could this medication be stimulating worried it may increase anxiety?

I took 10 days medicine..for depression ..and i have mood swings..but it makes me more depressed

30 days without ambien and still not sleeping 😥

Ah, good to know about the cyp2d6, which i have. Supposed to pick up an 18mg script but don't really want to. Guess I'll give it a try.

I take 300mg once a day at night and it has absolutely been a life saver. I have bipolar 1 and pretty bad anxiety so sleep is very elusive to me, and seroquel not only has treated my insomnia and let me get a good 8+ hours of sleep, it helps regulate my bipolar. I don’t have very many episodes of mania or severe depression but maybe 2 times a year. The ONLY side effect I’ve had is that is affects my ability to regulate body temperature so I can become overheated very easily and feel like I’m going to faint if I overdo it physically. Taking all that into consideration the benefits that I receive from the medication absolutely outweighs the one side effect I have. I have also tried rexulti and Abilify but had terrible weight gain and cravings. So seroquel has been a game changer for me that treats SO many symptoms I was experiencing. 10/10 would recommend for anyone with bipolar 1, moderate to severe anxiety, and insomnia.

Is weight gain something to worry about on 1 mg ?

I took this for a year and it tightened up my joints and ligaments and I had small sores and swelling everywhere-- I am still trying to recover--- I won't EVER take this EVER again.

If I lower the dose a little, I will not be able to sleep. This is the most difficult problem I face. This medicine is poison Does anyone have a solution?

While knowing this helped many people, I am relieved to know it works for some. For me it caused long lasting cognitive issues. Ive been off of it for a few years now, and it really caused some slower thinking? mental fatigue.

Go research ssri withdrawal symptoms. Stay away from this hard narcotic! Shame on you "doc"

No doctor can help if you have chronic insomnia. Finally got on disability due to fall and suffered TBI. LUCKED OUT. BUT FACE IT CHRONIC INSOMNIA IS A DISABILITY….SO I NOW HAVE A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY. IN. URRENT MEDICAL speak, insomnia is NOT a medical issue.

Im about to switch to this from my ssri, mainly because adderall has been repeatedly losing effectiveness, and the possibility that some of my supposed adhd symptoms might actually be depression symptoms that my ssri isnt effectively treating For my ADHD people: ive been continuously upping my stimulant med dosage. It helps for a few days, then it'll stop having any effect whatsoever. So i take a break for a few days, up my dosage, and repeat the cycle. This has been the pattern for over 6 months. I started out on ritalin, then went over to adderall, which ive been on for 2.5 - 3 months. The entire time, it's been the same pattern, and im now on 2 25mg per day with no sustaining effective dosage appearing to settle in. Has anyone else had this experience? Whatd u do?

I remember my doctor prescribed me Concerta for ADHD a couple years back just to have me try it out, and it was very bad. It made me feel REALLY jittery, it would severely decrease my appetite, it made me feel like throwing up especially when I worked out, but most importantly, it didn't really help me focus. Eventually, just looking at the pill made me nauseous lol. I started calling it "the death medicine" because it felt like poison. Interestingly, however, Adderall does not do this to me. Yes, it does make me feel a little jittery and a little anxious, but it really helps me focus.

Idk how anyone takes this crap. I took it once and was in a coma almost. My son sleeps so much with it or is grouchy cause he's tired

yeah! i'm having a terrible. paranoid delusional episode, because i got this the wrong thing for me. when it wears off i will be thankful, that i didn't go off on anyone. I'm allergic to all kind of drugs how long for it to wear off? Inquiring minds need to know mine.

I’ve had no side effects from starting/stopping the medication. I do feel much more depressed being off of it. I’m going to ask the dr to continue the 150 but if I want to skip a day, I’m going to skip a day.

My anxiety wasn’t any better or worse. I wanted to quit bupropion because of anxiety but it wasn’t any better after I quit. I have weight loss goals. I think it could help you live a healthier life. Even though that isn’t my ultimate goal, it could help me get there. If you have a bad night’s sleep, it could help you the next day. I don’t believe you have to take it every day if you don’t want to. You build up a tolerance anyway. I’ve had no side effects from starting/stopping the medication.

I take duloxetine 30mg and now my doctor got me to take apriazole 10g mum take this she said its good . I was on risperidone but make me so unwell but anti psychic and depression together i felt better happier

I had one of these recently, I was experiencing overwhelming daytime sleepiness, which I was worried might be a symptom of narcolepsy (no sleep paralysis as far as I'm aware though). I walked into my bedroom, almost falling asleep on my feet, and for a brief instant I saw a set of pyjamas on my bed as my cat. Occasional dog or cat hallucinations have been part of my life sine a major haemorrhagic stroke in 2017. Nothing too distressing, just sometimes I'm not sure what I'm seeing and it resolves into a cat or dog. I continue to be amazed by the amount of useful medical information that can be found on UA-cam, thought I should probably spend less time self-diagnosing based on UA-cam videos.

My 17 yrs old son is on divalproex for 11 months now he wan’t to stop already his on 500mg can i give him every other day of his medicine. I’m gonna start taking lurasidone (generic for latuda) along with lamotrigine 200 mg and lexapro (half of 10 mg tablet) for both anxiety and mood stabilization from borderline personality disorder. I hope it goes well. Unfortunately I began to have more episodes despite being on lamictal 200 mg. So I hope this medication works well for that.

While Unisom is an antihistamine (Doxylaimine Succinate) and it may act similarly to Benadryl, it does not contain Benadryl (check the ingredients to see for yourself). As soon as I saw some of the videos on Benadryl and that it is not meant to be used for more than 2 weeks and can lead to dementia or psychoses, I took myself off Unisom just to be safe.

I took 300 mg for years for sleep. Currently taking 100 mg. Love this medication. It works most nights & I've had no negative side effects. Always take with food, though, or it causes dizziness.

My girlfriend was on this medication when we dated in college. Every time I got a really bad hangover she would give me one and it would wipe out all of the hangover symptoms especially the anxiety. Fast forward 15 years I am now about to go on it. Cool

Did nothing for my anxiety

I found out that TCA's are super toxic in intentional overdose. That's why my psychiatrist won't let me touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I'm under lexapro 20 ml for anxiety. It's not helping me as it used to. I got prescribed Wellbutrin. But I get some of the side effects, some anxiety dry lips and lots of fast heart beats. I know side effects last about 2 weeks. It feels horrible. Should I keep on taking it. Today is my 3rd day.

I have experienced hallucinations after being awake for extended periods of time. My shift work for a major retail food brand is extremely demanding. It requires us to stay very long hours if a line is down. Many times I've stayed awake multiple days without sleep except for a few minutes of shut eye, when and if that's available. The experience I've had and still do are things moving. I've seen the handle of a tennis racket stretch horizontally, then start to break down, like on the molecular level. I've seen a glove hanging out of a box of latex gloves undulating it's fingers, paper towels fluttering as if they were being blown by the wind. The most recent and most vivid happened earlier this week. After geeting home from an extremely long shift that had me up for 2 days, was the strangest of all. From my back deck, looking into my neighbors back yard was a floral arrangement, with a lantern type decoration at the top and other items hung about it made me see the most profound one. As I glanced over in that direction and noticed that arrangement, looking back directly at it, I saw a red headed woman, sitting in a chair, with a green blanket, swinging her leg back and forth, like if she were enjoying a song keeping in time. Further looking I saw arm movement slight head movement and what looked like subtle adjustment of her shifting in the chair. It was by far the most detailed vision I've had in the 3 or 4 years I've had these experiences. Any insite on this?

I’ve taken Benadryl for years for sleep. My doctor said it helps and can be used for sleep deprivation.

This drug absolutely ripped my nervous system to shreds. I honestly feel assaulted and lobotomized by taking this drug.

My doctor used Benedryl to treat my anxiety a few years back. Now I cannot take it at all because it makes my arms and legs twitch
