@@jayneknight2675 Neither do we personally, it's the only time we've bought one at Pleasure Beach and we only bought a few one shots once before at Alton Fireworks. There's a problem where some parks such as PortAventura World prioritise fast track essentially ruining anyone's experience if they don't buy one, very shady. Most parks handle the ratio fairly, but it's not worth the money most of the time either way. But Pleasure Beach were definitely overselling tickets & school trips here, as you'd be lucky to get 2 or 3 rides all day even if you don't stop to eat, guaranteeing a poor day if you don't buy a pass - the parks know what they're doing 😔 A lot of people ended up buying them that day, they probably made at least 50k from those alone. They know a lot of people and families will see it as a sunken cost fallacy and pay the extra to not waste the trip 😧

@@kevgray. All major parks have a fast pass system these days, you can either get one shot, packages or unlimited deals. These allow you to enter the separate queues which are faster than the main queue lines but not front of line in most places. Pleasure Beach for example operates on a 90% reduction policy, so if a queue is 120 minutes, you'd wait 12 minutes then join the fast queue. We usually stay away from fast passes, in fact, this is only the second time we've purchased them in a UK park (the other time being one shots in Alton Towers fireworks), but Pleasure Beach are definitely letting too many people into the park during these busy periods as without a pass you'd get 2-3 rides in an entire day which is on the park for overselling capacity. A notorious example is PortAventura World, they prioritise fast track and barely let any standard queue through just so it forces guests to buy the fast track, a very disappointing practice. Luckily most parks operate on a standard to fast queue ratio keeping it fair :)

@@Sarnie_Rudeboy I'll look into it just to to be sure! Although we do use different Rode mics for any post voice overs which are better at picking up the full range of ones voice compared to a GoPro so maybe that's why? 🤔

Agreed. The historic rides can't hold a park together in this competitive climate, especially at their price point. Lower prices or more rides are in order to get the place back on its feet, something they definitely want to do before Universal enters the scene as that will impact every park!

It's a long drive from around here, so our pro tip is to account for delays as they happen often, set off early (around 5am) and take a break halfway through at a maccies to grab a drink and rest your eyes 😅 Thank you 😁

This was just before schools were out so we got stricken by school trips, 90 to 120 mins on most rides til around 3:30pm! 😱 Now that the kids are out of school though, weekdays are probably quieter! 😅

I definitely think if they can't solve the roughness, then it should go as plenty of people get hurt on it like Sarah did. It would upset so many people if it had to be removed with all that history being lost - but if they can't fix the issues, it sadly needs to go and be replaced by something more modern - Steve

Thank you, that means a lot! 😄 We primarily use a GoPro Hero 12 Black for most of the filming. We very much appreciate the subscription, we're sure you'll enjoy the back videos as those were more enjoyable days, and some of them have on ride PoVs too 😁

@@NETHER_NINJA It can depend sometimes on how busy the park is, we don't necessarily want to be annoying other guests when we can avoid it so we try to be somewhat reserved 😝 As for rides, we've definitely had our fair share of extreme rides, especially this year with Zadra, Hyperion, Gotham City Escape, and Hyperia. The best way to describe it is that we're always excited to get on coasters, especially something new, but we're so used to them we're just happy and relaxed by the time we get off the ride haha

Oh no 😔 We hope your partner has a speedy recovery, it's awful getting hurt on a coaster that should be fun 😢 It's definitely not ideal to have to pay for the speedy passes on top of your tickets, it's not cheap as we know but it's the only way to enjoy the day when they let that many school trips book in.

@@CoasterBaras thank you she's a tough nugget and it was packed to the rim when we was there so I had no choice but the get the speedy pass from all the kids just jumping in the lines cost 80 for the tickets and a 100 for the speedy passes 180 for 5 hours lol not cheap indeed

Hah I can see why dude, the passes at Blackpool at least are very worth the money unless you go on the quiet days, Merlin parks are a bit different if you want unlimited fast pass as they charge an arm and a leg! Sorry to hear that, it probably happens to more people than we think, and you can't always control getting a wheel seat or not 😔 It is very unfair, most arrive between 10:30 and 11am and then leave around 3pm, so they'd only get 2-3 rides all day. That overbooking also impacts the rest of the guests too, unless you fork over money which is possibly why they allow the park to be at that capacity 🤔

Another very appreciated compliment 😊 We picked up a GoPro Hero 12 Black for most of the filming, although we sometimes use our smartphones for certain off-ride shots as GoPros can't really zoom like they can for certain shots 😅

Only 2 rides is insane! It's definitely weird, they should have at least added more trains when it was busy, as there's indeed little sense running more cars on quiet days from an efficiency and cost standpoint 🤔

Hi! We popped in briefly during our Thorpe trips but didn't have time to vlog, but we're down there to vlog in October along with Thorpe's Halloween events 😄🎢

It's sad to see as the park has so much history and has the potential to be great 😔 We know it's hard being a family run park but they really need to invest more in the restoration and the new. We loved The Big Dipper but after this incident, neither of us want to go back on it anytime soon 😢
