Oh I remember mojos, don't think our corner shop sold them, I used to get 2 fruit salad and 2 black jacks with half pence. I love that crotal bell, however, the vesta case has cleaned up and although it isn't silver, it has the initials JY and 1910 engraved on it, so very personal. Hi , yes Deus loves to chirp in that field lol. It is deep HC, the only way to cut the EMI in that location, is to use single freqency, but even though it cuts the chirping, it is nowhere near the same depth and everything on that field is deeeeep! lol. Yes considering the EMI Jon still manages to hear some good signals, the spindle whorl is lovely and they are a favourite we both like finding them, and like you say it could be Saxon or Medieval. Hope you have fully recovered from your infection and are coming to terms with the loss of Blue. Thanks for watching and commenting, as for the EMI, we have tried changing the KHz and lowering sensitivity and a few other things but nothing will work in that location apart from using single frequency which does calm it down a bit, but Jon says it reduces the depth considerably. Luckily Jon seems to be able to pick out a good signal from all of the chatter, but I am sure we are missing loads, sometimes the EMI is a lot better and it seems to be worse when a lot of people in the village are using more electrical items. @@disabledadventures4115 Ok you're finding and enjoying your time out that's all the matters :-).

Surprisingly the batteries did very well and next time we are going to do all three reservoirs, the paths all around are reasonably level with just a few inclines, and no slipping and sliding in soft mud, which seems to take a lot more battery power because of the resistance. The X8 is not a good chair for distance and battery life because it has 4 x 700 watt high torque motors, so in perfect flat conditions you may get 8-12 miles but that can drop to 6 miles depending on terrain. I have a plan to use a Honda E10i silent generator and mount it on a platform that fits on the back of the chair and run a 24 volt charger while I am travelling, and in theory that will make up for some of the battery drain and give me more range, but we haven't tried it yet, that will be for another day and another video. 🙂🙂

@cow_elf I have seen that chap in OZ and he gave me the idea, it seems to work quite well for him, we will see when we try it.🙂

Hi Rob and Al, glad you enjoyed the video, and it is a lovely place, we only went round the top 2 reservoirs and we didn't try the lower one because someone mentioned steps, but we have now been told that there is a way around the steps so we actually think we can manage the bottom one as well so we will be going back for another video. We didn't realise that it is close to yourselves because it isn't far from us either, so you are both a lot closer than we thought. We will be doing some more detecting this year and Jon's powerchair is remarkably good because it is four wheel drive, so as soon as we can we will be back out detecting again, but maybe not this weekend because the weather forecast is terrible.
