After one season of use this motor wouldn't work. I decided to take it apart and see what was wrong with it. it was full of water. bad seals from the factory. This is the second one that has done this the previous one was covered under warranty

Milling a Driftwood Log #2 Such WOW
Переглядів 2 тис.3 роки тому
This driftwood log washed up last year and was blocking the boat launch. I did the only logical thing I could think of. I let it sit out of the water for a yr and sliced it up with the sawmill.

Milling More Oak Beams ✔️

Finished up the logs my neighbor wanted cut into beams. These were logs that have been laying on the forest floor for a while. Was a solo job but didn't take too long.
Winter Muskrat Trapping ✔️
Переглядів 9243 роки тому
This was my first year trapping muskrats. I didn't start till the water was frozen, this lead me to lots of frustration. But through perseverance and lots of traps I did manage to connect. It was fun to use the hagz brackets and the sudden valley rat clips. Both methods were easy enough to use. One of my favorite methods that I used was the bottom edge set. With the bottom edge set you can also...

How to build a weasel box
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
Here is how I build a weasel box. Weasel boxes are used to trap weasels. They are also good for catching rodents such as chipmunks and mice. I have used these to catch both a great way to store mouse poison to keep it from your kids or pets.
Fleshing Beam Receiver Mount ✔️

I had to get creative. My fleshing beam stand kept falling apart when moving it around in the garage. It was also bulky to store.

Did you add a grease cert
@@andynichols213 no never did works just fine
Please adjust your camera so we see what you’re doing instead of looking at your knee.
So the mop and glo keeps it from yellowing over time. But does it eventually break down and need reapplication? 15:35
havent seen a need to on any that ive done probly wouldnt hurt any
50 years ago, our store-bought drags were made from one piece of 3/8" smooth rod about 3' long. The best explanation I can manage is the rod was bent in the middle to create an eye as small as possible. Then about 6" of the two legs below the eye were twisted together. Then the remaining legs were bent in opposite up curves, and opposite from each other. Each leg was ground to about 60 degrees. They worked very well and only weighed about a pound each. I didn't use them often because if the dogs got on one of many logging trails they'd run forever.
Learn something new that was awesome job instead of buying make your own
How new are ya to trapping just watching u set those 110s and #1s were brutal lmfao
weak hands
Nice job!!!
The Mink, The Weasel and all their cousins and family can be very hunters, fast or tireless killers but the Human will always be many steps ahead..oh yeah good job Hunter
Dude u r music making hard to headu
Great video! You helped out a retired Boilermaker.
I think heavier is better 3/4 slow the coyote down.
I really enjoyed your video, you do a great job’s and you speak clearly and everything is perfect but i have a great recommendation and thats carry you two 5 gal buckets to your set one with traps in it and on your Rat trap , glue you a little piece of wood in bottom of box just the right length so your Rat trap doesn’t slide back and forth!! Keep up the great work, the buckets will keep your trips back and forth to the truck at a minimum, i trap coyotes in Texas and they work great for carrying what ya need!! I subscribed to your channel!!
Thers good videos on youtube u could look at to show useful tricks when milling and techniques of cutting
Fox that trap before you smarten up that mink
I urself round file to make trap set solid because in manufacturing the medal dogs they are punched out and not machined
I was so proud of my Minnkota the first season. Worked great. Next season it was gunked up with rust way worse than yours. Wouldn't work at all. Mine never spent a night outdoors. Kept it in its own special spot in the basement on a stand. Inspector #13 at the MinnKota plant was drunk or there is a major design flaw. Mine was too far gone. Never used it again. After that experience I didn't have the confidence to purchase another MinnKota brand trolling motor.
pallet material here in PA, but go with what ya got wherever you are
I just did this with a D Handle shovel that I got at a Garage Sale. The blade was fully rusted from exposure and the poly coat on the handle was nearly all pealed off. After sanding the handle smooth, I didn't get as deep of a stain from the Linseed Oil on the handle, but that may be the hardwood or the fact I only have one coat on it. I'm hoping it will be dry in a few hours and I can give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to make a video. It gives me a baseline to compare with my results.
You can also divide your strand with knots to do the ranger-bead thing where you have a section 1-9 and then the 2nd section is to count in 10s. Have a third for sets of 50s or 100s!
Can 357 cases that are too short be trimmed down to 38 special? I bought a bag of “once fired” 357 and they are mixed headstamps and some are larger or shorted than the other. If they can I definitely would keep them separated.
gunna have to figure that out on your own.
Very good video.I subscribed after watching it. I bought a Lee breach lock press to resize my cast 357 powder coated bullets and for some reason I never thought of using it to reload. Was like a light bulb went off. I’m also surprised that there is only one comment from a “Karen” complaint about one thing or another. lol
Probably need them a little bigger for wolf though write
Guess it would matters how thick the brush would be in the area.
Its different all over
Where did the bag of mice come from? Curious.
caught them in mouse traps around the house. you can do this anytime and throw them in the freezer. sometimes you get them in the weasel box too.
32 means 3 1/2 lbs.
Turn your log stops around with the slant facing the log this is why they're cutting a 45 so it is easier for the log to slide as it's being turned instead of being stabbed by the point
I know its the right way but its just easyer to have it the other way for the support when the cant gets smaller. too lazy to flip it all the time
This video is awesome! Thank you
You need to try Hodgens 300 CFE Blk powder it works miracles for subsonic
Awesome results! I can't wait to try this
Was looking to seal some teeth for jewelry, this is perfect
So when all is said and done what’s the pelt worth?
pretty much nothing
So you do this save your chickens, rabbits or some other domestic animal?
yes and its another way to keep certain animals in check.
Good stuff.
Magnificent grain in those slabs good choice!
Nice property!
Nice results with that cedar siding. The newer vids without the music seem a lot more relaxing to watch but you gotta do what you gotta do! 👍
Nice job on the 🪵
Panelling from those grey exterior boards would be super interesting. Awesome you got great lumber from a throw away, great site
Can i put mop n glow on it after painting it with acrylic paint?
I guess you could but what would be the point the paint would have sealed the bone
super easy thank you
can you sell Weasle?
you could tan and sell them.
Thank you so much I needed this information for my deer skull project 🦌 ❤ I subscribed!
this whole video is wrong-the only smart thing heard in this video was "follow the manufactures" instructions. this is a how not to video-you'll shoot your eye out.
Sorry you feel that way.
More of this plz!
Nice milling, what's your thoughts on sand or grit in the log
I know there is plenty of sand in the log. I didn't use a brad new blade for this reason. This was more of a curiosity thing.
What alittle weasel!!!.
That was so amazing!!! Did you take the shorter Discovery Tour?
Ibelive so it was a shorter tour but worth it.
How thick is the steel?
1/4 in thick plate just mild steel. might get away with 3/16 but the rigid nees of 1/4 works good
Hornady Sub X are awesome. Killed about a dozen deer from 40 - 100 yards. Super quiet in my bolt gun with a can. Barnes 110 Tac TX a great when you want to reach out to about 200 yards.
i use a lot of the same Lee case prep tools but with a twist. I chuck the case length cutter in my drill press and just let it run slow( have upgraded to adding a right angle attachment so the cutter is horizontal instead of vertical) and have the case holder in a screwdriver handle. I also drilled 2 shallow holes in the front of my bench by the drill press and drove the Lee chamfer tools in them, one each way. So i chuck up a piece of brass, push it onto the trimmer, spin it against the outside then inside chamfer tools and un-chuck it into the finished brass bin. Much faster and easier on you hand and wrist
