Hello ! Can you please place the TotalMediaHDCam program somewhere and send a link? I have an Aiptek 3D camera. This program is hardwired directly into the camera, but when trying to install it, a message appears that the archive is damaged. And I cannot convert the video from the camera to Anaglyph. Help me please. .

ever tried filming inside trains in 3D? I have the same camcorder and have been doing just that! The 3D effect is superb, although you need to be able to look a distance along the carriage to really see it. Simon

@wayout3ddotcom I have files in both side by side and anaglyph RED / CYAN using Aipteks inbuilt file uploader into Windows 7 Home Premium... The side by side files on USB memory stik show side by side on my SAMSUNG 3D TV ( which will convert to 3D to view with sync 3D specs ) and Aipteks built in software on PC will convert the default view side by side to anaglyph... @farside314 StereoPhoto Maker ( SPM ) Will split sidebyside images from the Fuji FinePix Real3D W1 stereo camera...the files are in MPO file format... As for the Aiptek 3D i2 HD camera and the seperating the video stream into both L and R channels....which i would find usefull...Maybe something can be done either using StereoMovieMaker or via the new NVidia stereo 3D graphics cards... In summary...i do not as yet know how to do it or even it is possible to do.. cheers, james

@farside314 A Hardware but costly way to shoot simultaneously both 2D and 3D video would be to to use say an Aiptek HD ( non-3D ) camera mounted directly behind an Aiptek 3D i2 HD. Both Display Screens need to be framed as near as possible the same image-wise... You, will hav 2 seperate vids one 2D the other 3D..Then, maybe upload the 2D to say YTube with a clickable link in the vid for viewers to watch same uploaded vid but now in 3D... Not ideal...but maybe worth a try... Cheers

@DOBM Sorry for delay in my reply... Just arrived bak in Nottm...Been, down in MInehead, Somerset with daughter Joanne... Have viewed some YTube vids off home-brew steadicams... Hav not tried your advice yet...but have captured in 3D HD Hopefully not too shakey video + stills of West Somerset Rail station and seafrontage at Minehead. Publish soon to YTube... Glad to hear you same 3D cam also.. Were you curious about the 3D screen display without wearing specs ? Cheers, James :)

I've also bought the Aiptech 3D HD video camera and for what it cost it works well. My first couple of filming attempts were dreadful because of camera shake and in retrospect you've done remarkably well James. I look forward to seeing more.

@DOBM Hi,,Thanks for your comment and useful info on how to create better video stabilisation...Yep,,the Aiptek cam does lack any decent inbuilt img.stab. and combined with the uneven tarmacadam downward slope of the track...the resulting cam shake and poor video resulted. :( I did use a large GOBY Gorrila pod closed up to emanate a crude 3 legged monopod...lol but whether this improved img. stab is hard to see... having done one take. Thanks for taking the time filming this and uploading. There's a cheap way of creating a Steadicam effect and that's to attach a video camera to an extended heavy monopod and hold the monopod near the top. The inertia means you can walk fast without the camera going all over the place. I guess you could do the same with a broom handle and camera clamp.

@farside314 Hi Edward,, The video was uploaded using the cameras own builtin edit software loaded via USB connection...I cilcked / used the Upload to UA-cam icon...I cannot remember having to manually edit the filename adding yt3d... Cheers, James :)

@busyguy1994 Thanks for commenting, friend :) I am glad to hear that you felt that i was lterally talking to you in real life... The camera was mounted on a small table-top tripod and i was pleased with the quality of 3D effect in HD :) I, have viewed this footage direct thru my Samsung 3D TV which uses syncro-shutter filter glasses and the resulting 3D effect / picture resolution / brightness is so much better than here in 3D HD on Ytube :) Cheers and take care, James :)

Thanks for your comments :) Yes theres more to do here with 3D and proper syncs etc. Using 2 dis-similar largish cams on fixed focus gives poor viewable 3D...as does fast movement :( RED/BLUE(Cyan) seems to be more modern anaglypt as does using smaller FLIP/Disgo record 2 SD Card..downside is again fixed focus / sync prob. This is trial / error plus hopeful learning along the way how 2 create better and watchable 3D vids :) Thanks,for inspiration and honest comments,,,appreciatted, cheers,james

Plus, when the seperation gets to be to far apart, don't give it a cross-eyed illusion. Because if you do... You either need to stand back, making the illusion less effective (because you can't detect the images well... It makes it even harder to detect it when one color/camera starts sooner then the other) or you have to flip your glasses upside-down... Which is sort of annoying eventually. You could try StereoMovieMaker application on PC...but expect there are similar that are easier to learn/use...good luck with passing your grades :) cheers friend,, james

When using StereoMovieMaker application on PC...set (F7) Colour Anaglyph to Half Colour mode. This will eliminate the need to use colour filters in front of the camera lens...thanks to Roger Maddy for this hint. :)
