W. Hock Hochheim is a police, military, martial vet and author with 52 years experience. He teaches hand, stick, knife, gun and FMA - PAC in some 9 to 11 countries, each year for 29 years now (barring those Covid times). He has produced over 45 in-depth, instructional martial videos. One each month will appear here for free, in an effort to give-back for years of your support and also to spread martial education.
Gun Combatives – MOVE, SHOOT, COVER Shooting In and Out and Around Cars (and Elsewhere)
By Hock Hochheim, Since the 1990s, Hock Hochheim has zeroed in on simulated ammunition, interactive training, leaving the mandatory, paper target marksmanship to bullseye experts. Hock covers lots of tips and materials from military and police training and his real life experiences in chasing, hunting and arresting suspects. He has always been able to take his experiences and forge exacting training drills you probably have never seen before.
Here are the basic principles of movement, to fire and maneuver under fire! Run, shoot and seek cover in common parking lots and anywhere cars are. Innovative exercises with simulated ammo, all with special tips and sessions like on skipping rounds and many other specific, survival tactics. All with REAL parking lot mayhem! Car crashes (yes, we use real cars!)
See several gunfights with simulated ammo. See who survives and how!

Great stuff Hock, always Real World. As a LEO, I especially recognize this looks like any Modem day dash cam video.
Thanks, Hock! That was awesome. What did you call the Filipino foot-fighting?
I have always enjoyed your material. Thank you!
I really can't believe it!! 😮 All this for free !! 🤤
Yeah Because, “Bad Guys” attack half heartedly with single attacks and pause while you Knife,Hand, Knife his paralyzed arm! And he’s considerate enough to wait for your counter attack ….this guy is an idiot. In summary: there’s no emphasis on offense and proaction. If you wanna learn knife fighting it’s essentially an act of Homicide. Knives are not a defensive tool, so learning defensive knife skills is suicidal. This guy’s curriculum is pitifully ineffective for military use and ludicrous for civilian application.
You are going to get killed with this approach and way of training.
How to get killed in one easy lesson. Leo Gaje is laughing at this.
The best channel ever !! 🖐️👺 Five stars !!
Thank you Sir for sharing, always a great teacher you are!
5:40 What is the "stop"-target; blade, hand, wrist, lower arm?
Where did you see this? Was it text inside the film in supported of speech, where I stopped the attack with the knife, and listed where the next grab? Might be his hand, his wrist, or his lower arm?
Just wondering since for a few minutes there you did not mention where to aim he block and sometimes in the video it seems to be the wrist and sometimes the lower arm.
@swenic you stop the attack where you can. There is no one specific place. What's open for you to able to stop it? Or, what can you create in order to stop it?
@@timothymarshall2365 ok, sort of like a knife brawl with no preferences then?
@swenic just like that. To paraphrase my favorite knife instructor, "A knife fight is rugby with a knife in your hand. It's ugly!". If you can't get away, you stop them by any means available and open to you. If it's the shoulder, take it. The wrist? Take it. The forearm? Take it. Just stop it.
Excellent!
Excellent!
Excellent material 👌 👏
Excellent training
Very impressive! Well thought out. Much safer to deploy. I will change how I train. Thank you!!!!
Hock is such a fantastic instructor. These videos are a goldmine of information. 🔥
👍
Very similar to Escrima
Good to see you still out there, Detective. It's been a few years, or should I say decades? I was in the 32nd Basic Training Class back in 86. Jerry Bardwell days. It's funny to run across you here because I just came across two autographed books I got from you back in the academy. You mentioned a couple of things just in passing in class that I took to heart and it served me well in getting confessions long before ever learning the Reid Technique. I still teach some PPCT skills/Advanced Defensive Tactics, intermediate weapons, etc., but like with you, COVID changed a lot of that and I don't teach live classes very often anymore. Looks like you're still local. I hope life is treating you well. Merry Christmas.
Wow! You hang there!
@@hockscombativeschannel407You too, Hock. I hope to check out some of your online classes someday soon. Happy New Year.

I am reminded of stuff I learned years ago with you when I watch these. Thank you for sharing them.
Hello SIfu... Glad you are still sharing your + the ARTs. The training I gained from you back in 1992 shaped my life with regard to how I handle situations...
Sooo scary just like the AR. 😂😂😂 I have 2, that are on my person. One on my belt horizontal and one on my ankle.
I remember seeing a book of yours in a store on knife fighting and there were some photos of people I think in a morgue with knife wounds, showing the effects of what the knife can do. I regret never getting that book.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! In My Gomer Pyle voice.
Thank God, someone else who thinks EXACTLY the same about head butts😂
Great break down.. for everyone… thanku very much…

I never knew you started with the Ed Parker stuff sir, very interesting !
Thanks for listening
Love your content sir!
I appreciate that!
Excellent basics that, although I have knife trained for over 10 years, never really went through sufficiently enough. I think safe yet realistic knife dueling enhances EVERYTHING from timing to foot work. Thank you sir.
Been following your stuff for years sir! You're one of the reasons I chose to be an edged weapons specialist in my martial arts career many moons ago!
Is this actually meant as something expected to work in a stick fight?
Yes, after you hit him in his helmetless head several times. With enough head shots, you might even tie his shoes together.
Trained with hock in Nashville a few times, many times in Huntsville Ala. . The training was always worth every penny and drop of sweat. He is the one who really drove my interest in FMA, which i train to this day.,with his material a big part of my daily! Thanks Hock.
Thank you sir.
I use a axe handle with the top pice for mounting the axe head cut off. It makes it just a bit shorter and makes the pommel end the main striking part. I
I’m interested in using pick handles due to history of them being used in strike breaking circa early 20th century. I prefer an iron pick/matic handle compared to an axe handle. Need a non-lethal means of moving people on.
👍👍 EXCELLENT 👍👍
Great stuff!
I enjoyed watching that video, thank you for sharing.
As a life long devoted Krav Maga Practitioner and inspiring Instructor I thank you very much for filling the gaps in our Stick Fighting techniques and tactics. As much as I love Krav Maga our stick fighting techniques will be NOVICE compared to FMA. Thank you for the knowledge kind sir.
Thanks!
Hi,one question, years ago i read that your training mission series had a module on body ram strikes,i could not find the book anywhere, so can i ask you to explain this concept?
Hi, I haven't filmed anything on that and rams are in Level 8 of the Unarmed course. Which is just an outline. There is a speech about "throwing your weight around," and several combat scenarios.
@@hockscombativeschannel407 i have been approaching body rams with a martial arts knowledge background, the main proponents of it in the East were the chinese internal arts. Regarding your case, were you inspired by something in particular or was it knowledge you gained with experience?
I like a pickax handle even better. Hold by the head end and it's got the grip and feel of a bastard sword.
Thank you for sharing Hock ! Another amazing video 🙏
👍👍👍
I learnt so much from that. Thank you
