Franz Liszt - De profundis, S121a Piano: Goran Filipec Orchestra: Kodály Philharmonic Conductor: Imre Kollár On 14 January 1835 Liszt wrote to the Abbé de Lammenais, telling him that he was the dedicatee of a ‘little work’-an instrumental De Profundis, based on a plainsong which they both knew, and which he would send to the Abbé. Liszt himself was about to be ‘away for two months’, for which r...

Franz Liszt - Zweiter Mephisto-Walzer 'Mephisto Waltz No 2', S515 Performer: Vladimir Sofronitsky Twenty years separate the famous Mephisto Waltz No 1 from its companion pieces of the 1880s, but the work marks a point of transition to Liszt’s later style. Early critics were shocked by the daring harmonies, especially at the beginning where a devilish pile of fifths is assembled. The original ti...

Franz Liszt : Valse-Impromptu, S213 Performer: Josef Hofmann The Valse-Impromptu, Valse mélancolique and Valse de bravoure are by turns light and witty, delicate and languid, brilliant and cheerful works from Liszt’s early years as a concert performer, but all revised and eventually published in 1852 during Liszt’s time at Weimar. Although they are by no means among Liszt’s most important works...

I just LOVE his tempo choise. By far my favourite recording of this masterpiece!
Super! My favorite: 1:07:24 - 8b. Andante molto espressivo (Leslie Howard)
Those repeating notes, so lovely.
who’s playing?
I thought Max Reger playing it ahah
Uma obra belíssima e muito pouco tocada!
Impressing. This is the first time I had ever enjoy this piece!
I can't believe no one is complaining about HOW UNBEARABLY SLOW this rendition is, and he still made mistakes Guess it's up to me to recommend the TOZER VERSION, because this was painful.
Beautiful piece !
why is the title of 3 censored?
il fuocoso assai a 682, mah (modesto)
No 10 is my favorite
iT sOuNdS LiKe JaZz!!!
Which recording is this exactly? As far as I know he recorded the sonatas twice - in 1971 is the first recording and another one in late 90's, 1999 - 2000 more precisely. Thank you.
Must be the earlier one on Melodiya. His later version was played much slower.
Ripped off audio from a different video. That’s classy. Stop stealing peoples’ work
Why does she accelerate on several triplets in the first piece?
lovely
oh my god, I didn't know John Ogdon recorded such a monster. From Busoni's Piano Concerto to this... Surely his technique was something else.
indeed one of the most unique and unconventional waltzes ever
He isn't playing it very accurately.... I know, I know, rubato, but here....
Thanks for video. That work seems important actually. That work the shows us to liszt's first attempts to innovation on form. Thats the same idea with Liszt 's Sonata B Minor
I've never heard this one before, thank you!
Damn those pieces are a jewel, just discovered them.
1:16:43 it reminds me so much of Chopin's Military Polonaise
Agreed
Underrated piece
'a little work' - fucking writes the biggest and most daringly majestic concerto of his entire life lmao such a Liszt moment
26:10 shit hits the fan
this video is such a godsent aaaaaaaaaaa i love this so much!!! thanks a tonnnn
This is the first time seeing 2 piano score of it.. Thank you for making the video!
Happy birthday LSZT!!! Why is it so beautiful!?
A beautiful remembrance on his 213th birthday!
I love how Liszt writes the introduction in left hand only octaves instead of both hands
Fantastc La Danza is so amazing!!!
I love the part 29:47 - 33:05
nice
One of my most favourites symphonic poems, I didn't know Liszt wrote a piano version!
In a realm of music instruments there are 3 instruments that are superior to all other instruments.......Which are the PIANO king of all instruments the VIOLIN the queen and the guitar the prince and future hair of the kingdom
Thanks for posting the piano version of this wonderful work. For those unfamiliar with the orchestral version, I highly recommend the recording by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ilan Volkov: ua-cam.com/play/OLAK5uy_khvk3spYdeGITFgEL5oM_4OPyolFXh_4Y.html
5:25 “lizst can’t write good melodies” ☠️
Really it's not his melody but he definitely could write fire
what year?
Aaaaaarrrrrrrrgh now I have to go learn to play all of those 😆
Its studio recording or live?
Op 73
Did he played the 3rd variation in octaves
