If you want to experience the real Malta with the typical houses with wooden balconies, small pubs and shops, you should book a hotel in Valletta, Sliema, Mellieha or San Gilian. The "Malta National Aquarium" and the "The Malta Classic Car Collection" (museum) are the only reasons to drive to Buggiba for one day.

Don’t waste your money. The rooms are dirty, filled with bugs (roaches, mosquitoes and flies), there’s mold in the bathroom, beds, chairs, and sofa. The main pool is murky and disgusting. Horrible place! I don’t recommend.

Moc jsem si prala navstivit tuto botanickou zahradu. Je obrovska a nadherna, i kdyz jsme tam nebyli v dobe kdy toho kvete vic. Pruvodce a vozitko byl uuuuzasny napad.

Totally agree with the security stuff. I've lived abroad and experienced living in a safe environment for a while. It is something mind blowing. Normal brazilians don't know how it is to live in civilized safe places. The whole "condo" issue provides a false sense of security, for it is the only way to live at a relatively in peace with all the fences and security. The same happens to malls. It is almost impossible (at least in big cities) to have regular street business, so everybody prefers to visit malls for security issues also. Security plays a very relevant role in everyday life in big cities.
