Nice video!
Thank you!
Big mistake. Go back to Airbus, especially in light of Trump's threats.
Who cares! Air Canada passenger service simply sucks.
If it’s Boeing I’m not going. Good bye Air Canada and West Jet. Hello Porter, here come the Williamsons. Internationally we fly Air Bus.
It must be Michael Rousseau can only speak "American" What a shot in Canadian soul to sell himself to the americans! How many Boeing does he need to plunge Canadians?
This is not true though. Air Canada still uses Airbus heavily for narrow bodies. They're switching the 737 Max to the Rouge brand, and using A320 series aircraft and eventually the A321XLR/neo for their mainline.
I know that Air Canada will move its 737 Max planes to Rouge subsuduary. And Air Canada is ADDING to its Airbus A220 fleet. So your headline is puzzling.
best airline
Kickbacks. Someone's getting greased.
You try to find excuses to eliminate the most obvious one ! To kiss Americans ass !
Boeing has horrible safety records. Looks like Air Canada looking for cheap product and ignoring passenger safety. I hope other Airlines will pick-up roads where I am flying. Air Canada was always my last on the list.
Your statement is untrue. Airbus and Boeing are both incredibly safe. Airline crashes are so rare it doesn't even matter, especially in Canada where there hasn't been an airline crash for many decades.
Stupid Air Canada. Why buy crash crap when you could buy Acme Airbus?
The 787 has 0 history of crashes.
Absolutely right. Lots of fires in its early days. I flew on one, against my better judgement, a BA operated one, and we had to divert from MEX to Cancun cos the flap/slats failed.
@ I’ve been on plenty Airbus aircraft that had to cancel or abort flight due to mechanical issues, so your anecdotal experience means nothing. Part of the safety of an aircraft are the avionics that let pilots know there’s an issue, and that’s what saved you on the 787, a system working as it should’ve. Back in the older days of aviation there would’ve been no warning at all
@@JamesAidan-s7o the A350 was involved in a fiery crash in Japan
What a daft comment. It was involved in a firey crash because a plane taxied into its path. But guess what...everyone on the Airbus survived.
Air Canada seems to have made the correct decision. Boeing took a lot of flak recent years not because they are much worse than the Europeans , but because their legal depart are less aggressive than the Europeans that will fight for their plane tooth and nail while Boeing acted like a large American company with deep pockets. I suspect Europeans deal with whistle blowers far more harshly than the more open American system. The Europeans also have more controls with their media. So many defects that they will cover up are exposed by the American press.
With Boings pathetic recent quality going down hill honestly I’m nervous flying Boeing planes. I prefer to fly Airbus any day.
Boeing is making a major comeback. And the tic-tic children are offended.
Airbus has only ten years of production in front of him, it s not a problem at all.
they are moving the max 8s to rouge
I know, they announced it after I made this video
The Québec gouvernment GAVE the Cserie to Airbus plus $258 millions to end the developpement. . We had the very best plane of the category..It's like having the best horse of all. giving it away to a competing farm and giving 3 years of food and Veterinarian services..along it after investing billions in it Insulting. . .. ! ! ! !
They did not the message that Canada have to be independant from the US….next Gov will put them in line..it’s time to drop Boeing and US products..
If Trump moves ahead with the 25% tax, I can foresee Boeing being almost banned for new orders in Canada.
Very interesting and well presented, but those AI mispronunciations just irk me. They're insulting to the intelligence.
Thank you. And yes, the technology isn’t perfect yet
A220 where have you been!!!
CANADA IS forbidden by US not to buy more AFFORDABLE and Reliable Chinese jets.
Wardair had landing rights to ORY, not CDG.
How far down the Boeing queue will Air Canada be?
Air Canada is replacing B737 with A320 purchased on the used market and have sign agreement with Airbus to upgrade the cockpits with latest electronic in the newer A320 and A 321 models. With the move B737 to Rouge it will make Air Canada smaller planes all Airbus.
Did Boeing sponsor this video ?
Some of my videos criticize Boeing and others criticize Airbus
If Trump imposes tariffs on Canada. Then the Canadians should switch to airbus.
tariff dos''nt mean Trump can charge us 25 % on imports to Canada ... that would be dumber than his tariffs
If Trump imposes tariffs, Canada should do its job and secure the border and stop hosting illegal immigrants!
Not a fan of the XLR - narrow body/single aisle cabins are too uncomfortable for long haul flights
A title to attract clicks. Since the 737 will be transferred to the AC Rouge division, the mainline will have to operate different planes per contract with the union. You'll see an order for A320neo, A321neo at some point and possibly A220-500.
I'm surprised Boeing still exists.
Right that’s mystery
As long as they supply the military the government will never let them go defunct.
Why is Air CANADA supporting Boeing ,which is a USA company, when the USA is putting the screws to Canada, threatening to make us their 51st state and imposing 25% tariffs across the board? Who is the CEO of Air Canada? Plus, look at the safety record of Airbus vs Boeing.
Most of the legacy carriers have both in their fleet and I agree. Gotta be in good terms with both, just in case. The A220 and A321xlr will be around for a few decades, while the 787 and probably 777x will cover their long haul high density routes.
Dirt Cheap Boeing 737 etc. Good luck passengers.
"Boeing " is the sound the aircraft makes on it's last contact with ground
i fly on a Max anyday over a 321
@@davidharris2519 This is not a USA v EUROPEAN game. It’s about a once great aircraft manufacturer obsessed with rehashing old airframes v a manufacturer who is at the forefront of future, safe, top quality, ground breaking products that airlines want to buy. The A320/21 product has this segment 100% for the next 20 years. All Boeing has is an updated ? 787. Maybe?
Bus drivers can't fly
@@davidharris2519I do whatever it takes to avoid flying on the Max
Air Canada should change the order of 787-10 to A350 ensted
7:55 you forgot about Canadians having one on Porter Airlines which actually operates the E2 basically if you want to see how this goes in the Canadian Market it's Air Canada versus Porter CSeries vs E2
Who ever pays the biggest kickback 😂
Canada air line should take under consideration the new dangerous flaws in Boing and go back to Airbus as reliable aurcraft manufacture for long distance safety. Airbus are monsters in the sky for long distances regardless gas consumption. A few dollars grrantee millions of life therefore please lets be less cheap skate.
The "flaws" aren't big enough to drastically affect airline safety. When was the last time any airline aircraft, Boeing or Airbus, fatally crashed in Canada? Its been decades, all the manufacturers Canada buys from are reliable and the planes well maintained by the airlines.
Air Canada should change the A-330's for A-350's. That is the Best ride out there.
A330's will be replaced by 787-10's
Airbus has so many orders it doesn't need to discount its aircraft.
Nonsense …everybody discounts new aircraft depends on customer and how many they’re buying. Do you work for airbus ??there’s more 787 waiting in the Que to be built than a 350s and a 350 doesn’t even compete with 787 it’s A330 which 787 competes with and absolutely destroys in sales A350 competes with 777 and 1777X gets figured out and brought to market. It will be the leader in that segment.
The A350 is the one to go for...but so many airlines want it, and AC is far down the list
I guess Canada likes poorly designed planes
The design is good, it's the craftsmanship that is suffering...
Air Canada you mean ? Personnaly I always fly Air Transat that have Airbus planes.😉
@@andrebonneau8738 If it's Boeing, I ain't going.
Airbus have much the same workmanship problem as Boeing, the major difference is with Boeing's legal department , which is less aggressive than the Europeans who will defend their airplanes tooth and nail , while Boeing acted like a large company with deep pockets just for the lawyers to pick. The 737 Max is a great example, with better trained western pilots, those two would never crash, but since Boeing too a disproportionate amount of flak, there are no need to better trained those third world pilots. But then, western pilots are also slipping in standards, because European do not have an aviation culture anymore, private aviation been killed by high cost and regulations.
Nonsense.
It’s time for Canada to start building our own airplanes again.
Airbus A220 is made in Canada.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A220
The Conservatives killed our aviation program. It was called the Avro Arrow, a technological marvel that they threw into the dumpster. So remember to vote Conservative cause they love Canada.
AC cold say yes to Airbus now since Trump is making such a stink about Canada.
Whose receiving the kick back this time.
Air canada is sending all their max planes to rouge also. meaning the flagship airline will probably go back to airbus for narrowbody. great video tho
Thanks for your comment! As for now, there will only be A220s and A321XLRs, which are simply aircraft without a Boeing competitor, but maybe the A320neo will be ordered at some point... We will see.
@@mkairlines I think Air Canada's order of the Neo is pretty likely in the future. They're turning away from the max family, and they'll need aircraft to replace them. The A223 is too small to fill that roll, and the XLR isn't practical for some of the shorter routes that the Max's currently cover. For now they'll probably just use the ceo's presently operated by rouge and just start switching the max's for them. But those Rouge A320 Ceo's are quite old, and will need to be replaced soon, and the Neo is really the only option.
a321xlr in my opinion has a competitor in the 737 max 10
The 737 MAX 10 competes only in capacity, but its range is much smaller than the A321XLR
