Hi everyone, welcome to my UA-cam channel!
I am a guitarist and have been playing since 2002, starting off on my trusty Fender Stratocaster before I won my first PRS guitar (Tremonti SE in black) during a soundcheck competition with Alter Bridge in 2008-- and my guitar collection has continued to grow ever since! On this channel you'll find various videos, including covers I enjoy playing and hopefully these videos can help along anyone who is looking to learn new songs!

Great cover Ameya. Couldn't find what the open b5 tuning is though ..😅 is this similar to open b tuning B-F♯-B-F♯-B-D♯ ? And what string gauge do you use for that tuning ?
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽 the tuning is in the description but essentially Open B5 is like Open D5 which Mark uses a lot (DADADD) but with all strings tuned down a whole step and a half. For this cover I've just got 10-52s on, but I'm surprised how well the guitar stayed in tune!

I love the riff - probably my fav from Mark (in AB) since perhaps Cry of Achillies... You got the end of the core riff with perfect timing/tone 4x3 triple thing (he, I'm a terrible guitarist, and don't know the name)...
Thank you, Tony! 🙏🏽 Haha no worries, I think the word you're looking for is "triplets", but it turns out the riff is made up of quadruplets, with an open string starting each set of quadruplets. Keep at it and you'll see improvements, step by step!

How difficult is that picking pattern? I feel like I'm playing it wrong but it seems like it's a polyrhythm between the thumb and fingers and I just can't figure it out.
It's pretty straightforward for me but then again I've been playing for a while. For the most part it's just alternating eighth notes between the thumb and other fingers with a few longer notes during the verse before the change of root note. Hope that helps!
I came here to see if the start of the bridge was as simple as it sounded. Absolutely nuts how something so heavy is so simple. Drums really make that part. But anyways great job dude!
