Detail Grind is a place where I share my work when it comes to auto interior/exterior detailing and furniture deep cleaning. Over the past 10 years I've owned several cars, during my downtime I spend it by detailing them. I could have documented them but due to lack of skills and tools when it come to capturing it and editing I was not able to do so. Now that I acquire tools and decent level of shooting and editing skills I am confident enough to share it with you. I hope you find value in my contents in this channel.
Join me in my journey in the detailing world and thank you in advance for being part of it.

Deep Cleaning 5 Year Old Twin Size Mattress
In this video you'll see my process in deep cleaning a mattress.
I use APC as cleaning solution diluted 10:1 with distilled water.
I also use distilled water with my steamer & extractor.
I segmented the mattress into four, for me to easily spot dirt while I pass through them and for me to shoot it easily.
I started on the upper left of the bed, then upper right. I went down lower left then finally lower right.
After cleaning it I let it dry for 3 hours with the help of an electric fan.
Please comment below if you have questions I'd be glad to answer them.
Cheers!

.Excellent. Very nice work. What type of cleaning product/solution didyou use?
I wrote it down in the video description. Thanks!
I was always told to never get that much moisture on a mattress cause it can mold. How do you ensure it throughly drys? I need to do this with mine and i have an extractor
Hey Heather sorry for the late reply, I normally make sure not to use it until naturally dries with a couple of fans/air mover after 24hrs with. If you think of it the only amount of liquid I used are the cleaning solution & steam. Pretty much it just penetrates the fabric cover and foam liner which can be sucked by the extractor on the final process.

Service in India?🙂
Hi, For how long do you let chemicals "sit" on the mattress before extracting them?
Hey Nard! Good question, I let it sit after steam and brushing the entire mattress then extract it right away. Steam helps the hard stain to break down while sanitizing it. so that I can easily extract
What mixture did you use bro?
All Purpose Cleaner bro by Meguiars
I spilled a full 33oz bottle of water into my mattress. I pat-dried it out and placed a bunch of rubbing alcohol on it with several cheap fan blasting full speed. Will I get mildew? Am I stupid? Can a professional tell if there is mildew inside of it?
What kind of liquid did you spray the mattress before you using the drill brush
I use 1:10 All Purpose Cleaner (APC) & Distilled Water
Hi, what is the reason you steam it after the pre spray? Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply, steam helps the hard stains to breakdown and sanitize the fabric at the same time
Great job buddy what type of soap you were using
Hi Joe! I use Meguiar’s APC. normally for mattress & couches I use 1 part APC 10 parts water ratio for carpets i go 1:5

@@DetailGrind what liquid cleaner do you use?
Hi planing to start my own business in cleaning...I am located in Singapore Was wondering what are the equipments that you were using? I have noticed you got a deep cleaning extraction machine What was the steam cleaning for and the speed brush used ? Do you wait for it to dry ?
Hey Veno! Sorry if I replied late. Good to hear that you're starting this kind of business. Yeah the steamer I use McCulloch MC1385 - Its around $200 in Amazon. Extractor I'm using is Aqua Pro Vac - Retails around $500. I used the weight of the drill when brushing through the fabric in medium speed setting. Best to let the bed dry for at least 4-5 hours prior using. If you have an air mover or just an electric fan it could really help speed up the drying process! Good luck on your venture! Message me anytime if you have questions! =) Cheers!

How many hours to dry
How many hours to dry
4-5 hours will do if you aim couple of airmover or fans at it =) but best to do it overnight
@@DetailGrind in the sun or under fans?
@@doreenaking No don’t dry it down under the sun, so much heat may deteriorate the foam liner of the mattress. Natural air dry or fan will be enough.
What type of soap are you using ?
Its APC not soap
