Hello. Was this footage mainly of the south end of the lake? I used to kayak and camp on the lake 40 years ago. It hadn’t been logged when the dam was constructed so lots of stumps where trees have broken off. The Corrections Service had, and may still have, a minimum security facility between Alouette Lake and Stave Lake and they used to corral floating wood and cut it up for firewood for local campsites.

Very nice Hong - wasn't it difficult walking in low tide? I remember having to walk in knee deep mud in order to get my kayak out of the low water areas, it was exhausting!

Great video. Did you first hike up the Baker Preserve and then get to the peak from there or did you come up from Aiston preserve. I am fortunate to live on the Island but don’t think I have made it to the official “Peak”.

Beautifully done video. We call Crescent Island the mystical Island. A beautiful mysterious island with sandy beaches everywhere. The kayak used in the video is exactly the same one we use each time we kayak on the Fraser River. Usually we kayak there in the summer or early Autumn. Every time we kayak on the Fraser River we seem to be the only ones there even in the middle of the tourist season - actually that is the way we like it. Have done UA-cam Slideshows on our adventures there. Orland
