Kawagoe (1 hour from Tokyo)|Midnight Lantern Festival eve
Kawagoe is a town with a long history, also known as Koedo.
Even today, the town still attracts tourists with its rich and picturesque scenery.
This time, I photographed the eve of the lantern festival held in Kawagoe, and enjoyed the quietness of Kawagoe and the lanterns without tourists, which cannot be seen even on Google Street View.
0:00 introduction
0:15 Kawagoe Chuo-dori Shopping Street
Kawagoe Chuo-dori Shopping Street is within walking distance from the station for men and women of all ages. It is also close to the hotel for those who want to experience the late-night lantern festival for a short while.
0:37 Kawagoe Meitengai
At one time, the atmosphere was lonely, but in recent years, new restaurants have opened and the impression is changing. It is also a good place to look for hidden gems.
1:41 Koedo Kawagoe Ichibangai Shopping Street
This is a symbolic area of Kawagoe. It is a very popular spot among tourists for its streetscape that retains the atmosphere of the Edo period.

05:38 Crea Mall Kawagoe Shintomicho Shopping Street
This modern downtown area is located north of JR Kawagoe Station and east of Seibu Honkawagoe Station. If you go straight north along this street, you will reach the center of the tourist area.
06:33 Renkeiji Temple
The temple offers blessings for child rearing, safe delivery, and the fulfillment of wishes, and those who pray for safe delivery will receive a votive card and an amulet for safe delivery. In addition, Obinzuru-sama is enshrined in front of the main hall and is said to cure illnesses when touched.

      The commentary voiceover is only coming from the left headphone. You should fix that

    • @wjc-emma
      @wjc-emma Місяць тому

      The audio and some of the pictures are generated by AI, but the rest is filmed and edited by ourselves.

    Why does this sound like AI?

    • @Aurange
      @Aurange 2 місяці тому

      Because the voice over is done with AI.

      We are Japanese, so we are narrating in English with the help of AI.
