Thanks! The 3 cameras are mounted on a handlebar extension bar and don’t get in my line of sight so it’s not difficult at all. Now what’s difficult is making sure all 3 cameras are charged and don’t overheat in the summer… anytime you see me stop for no reason (no video of me talking or pictures) it’s a good bet that I’m dealing with my GoPro’s or Insta360. It’s a pain but it’s worth it to be able to share trail videos with others. I just added a GoPro Hero 13 to my kit so I can finally retire my GoPro Hero 8 which takes forever to get a GPS signal (required for telemetry) and has strange issues when it gets hot. I don’t see a trail bridge at the intersection of the Badger State Trail & County FF but I do see the detour a street to the South at Round Grove Rd. Is that the one you’re referring to? With regard to the Stewart Tunnel, I have no idea what it looked like in 2024 but back when we rode the Badger State Trail in 2023 there was evidence people were going through the tunnel anyway. We rode both detours to give people an idea of what each of those looks like. But I agree, there is signage there indicating you may receive a citation if you go into the tunnel. I can’t wait until it’s re-opened… then we will make an updated trail video. Thanks for watching! 😎🤘🏼

Indeed, Lake County is very well connected bike trail wise and with the referendum Lake County residents voted in recently we will get even MORE trail connections! Riding on Rt. 60 doesn’t sound fun 👎 Yes you definitely need a map app for the Lake County trails, it’s easy to get lost! 😎🤘🏼

Yeah that’s the downside, lots of stop and go on those trails. I’d love a connection to the Western side of the Great Western Trail! Let me know the next time you learn of a city meeting on trails, maybe I’ll attend! I’d love to ride something in Florida! If I ever get down there I’ll make sure to check that trail out! Great question! As far as their curated trails, yes they will correct trail map changes. They won’t do anything about custom user trails in “Community Content” but you can obviously change a trail you created. Ride safe! 😎🤘🏼

Indeed we are lucky.. and even luckier that we are only 15 min away. Des Plaines River Trail is a great riding option in Fall! I hope you guys get a chance to ride it! If weather holds out maybe me and my Noah can ride it this Fall too! 😎🤘🏼

@@Cynical_Zombie Yup I added Des Plaines River trail on my 2024 list. Tomorrow Paul and I are driving up to Burlington to ride the White River Trail. The leaves are 75% color up there. 😁👍

Yeah, an unconnected bridge is strange but at least they made it into a pedestrian/bike trail instead of just dismantling it. It’s a nice way to get to the other side of the river and back. Ride safe! 😎🤘🏼

😎🤘🏼 At some point I need to see what’s South of that State Line Plaza and I also need to ride the gap between the top of the Lakefront Trail to Wilmette. Then I’ve ridden each segment from Wisconsin to Indiana. Ride Safe! 🧟‍♂️

@@Cynical_Zombie Yes! The trail has been extended from Bloomington, south to Funk's Grove, and north from Bloomington to mid-way to Lexington (you may have already been on that part). The county now has funding to extend all the way to McLean.

Overall I agree with trails next to roads, but I’m happy they are there to connect areas to other areas. I also agree with gravel and glass, I see that on the Rt. 31 trail in between Cary & Algonquin. I’ve never head of Keith Andre’s bike park… I should check that out. I’m glad you tried BBQ King! You can park your vehicle at the Rock Run Preserve off Black Rd. just east of East Frontage Rd. or at the Lower Rock Run Preserve off Houbolt Rd. south of I-80 in Joliet or you could park at Theodore Marsh Preserve off Gaylord Rd. between Theodore and Caton Farm in nearby Crest Hill.

Definitely good for walking! I’m getting closer to finishing every Lake County Forest Preserve with bike trails! Ride safe! 😎🤘🏼

How about go out to Summit County CO and ride around Lake Dillon from Frisco to Keystone then off to Breckenridge and back to Frisco or Frisco to Copper mtn over Vail pass and down into Vail. lol those are my dream rides. Ski there every year but definitely want to do a summer trip on the bike.

Out of curiosity what app do you use to plan your bike routes? I would like to have a set plan instead of always looking on google maps to see where I’m heading.

@kmtnbike1117 I use AllTrails. On the description of every UA-cam video I post I include the ride map I was following. You can save that to your maps in AllTrails and follow it when you’re ready to ride a trail. Ride safe! 😎🤘🏼
