You got it pretty close but that doesn't change the fact that Kurt's tone sucked ass.
Pls show us ur setup?
Try every breath you take
Except you’re adding a major 3rd to the 1st and 3rd chords.
Kurt plays upstrokes in slts
I never understood the big deal about the fucking upstrokes like who actually gives a shit
Mhh... more likke 95% close. I could point out some things that can be improved
at that point it all comes down to the player
טוב לראות ישראלי
נשמע טוב אחי
the only thing throwing it off is how u play the song, u have to only hit 3 strings at a time, during the chords it helps to mute the g,b, and e with your first finger
SHEEEEEEEESHHHH that's some skills man, instant sub!
great work, and with simple tools. great ear!!
Thank you!
More gain. Don’t double the track, Take two separate tracks. And pan them left to right. I still hear the clean coming through on your recording. It sounds like a slight overdrive. Kurt used a ds1 through a fender bassman which starts to become fuzz like.
Kurt's guitar it's quad tracked, try with that!
Love it. I actually prefer a bit more your version
That's literally 100%!! Thanks man
At first I thought damn that sounds nothing like it but then when you put Kurt's tone I never realized how fizzy and thin Cobain's guitar sounds on the original record. I guess it's just being used to listening to the band mix.
layering works wonders
Where do you get the match eq plugin
Izotope
this guy should collab with Aaron Rash!!
🤘
You can get 100% by playing Fsus And Absus. The tone is exact I’m just so OCD 😂
Learning Nirvana piece by piece is gonna make you go as fast as a rocketship when you start on other music, keep up the great work!
That's a SLAYER song!
Youre playing it wrong
🤷
100th sub, nice video !
Awesome video man, thanks for sharing. Can you please tell more about EQ matching, how did you do it?
Sure
Hey dude I think it’s a real cool vid you made I think your fairly close but can I ask what pickups your using? because it sounds a lot thinner then the original it sounds like your on a single coils or some really low output humbuckers
Smells like teen spirit - single coil (Fender American professional) In bloom - humbucker (Music man sub1)

Amazing man! Love the sound
Glad you like it!
@grizlymusicstudio of course man. I am glad your video blew up man) good for you! ;)
Great job it sounds insanely close to the original recording! It's funny how people obsess about what guitar, amp and distortion Kurt was using for these songs, but the key to the Nevermind sound is actually in the multitracking, which makes it sound waaaay bigger than it is possible with one guitar in a live setting. If I remember well, Kurt actually didn't like the double tracking very much lol. But it's such an iconic sound, even if I'm with Kurt on how I prefer Steve Albinis production on In Utero.
I think he only did multitracking because the producer told him that John Lennon did it
Sigma
cool
Sounds good bro.
Add a shotgun sound effect and you got it
Kurt Cobain has left the chat
