Are you right handed?? It seems like you are when I'm watching you fish....except then I saw your spinning reel setup on your spinning rod. And now I'm confused. As a right-handed guy, I use my strongest arm (right) on my rod, and work the reel handle with my left hand....so my strongest arm is always on the rod. I can pump with both arms, but then I can release my left hand to reel up slack...yet I can keep that pressure on with my right arm. I notice you do all of this the exact same.... except you have to switch to your left arm to gain line, because the reel handle is on the right side of this set up. Is that how all your set ups are?? Linda silly question, but I'm honestly curious about this! Thank you!! Great video!! Amazing catch!! Is this just an Aussie thing?? A little backwards...but just as effective. Kinda like the toilet water down under, going the opposite direction when you flush water.

Amazing you didn't snap that fly rod in two by choking up on the rod blank. You fight a fish with the butt of the rod. Next time you may not be so lucky!
