That will be the Cocjin-Tirol- Javellana clan's legacy to ILOILO CITY.

Nice video but these are'nt bulan bulan/buwan buwan or "indo pacific tarpon" these fishes are blackchin tilapia ,an invasive species and not native to philippine waters,.they multiply rapidly and creates havoc to our river and waters and can wipe out most of our native fishes,.kaya sa side ng river dyan sa molo puro blackchin tilapia na lang mahuhuli at buwan buwan/bulan bulan at wala ng ibang species ng fish dyan sa area na yan.,sa bandang lapaz at muelle loney at iloilo wharf na lang matagpuan mga iba ibang species ng fish tulad ng baramundi "asian sea bass..

It was originally a restaurant, the Socorro Spring Garden, when it opened in 1968(I can't remember the exact year. This was also the time when the old beautiful Spanish-era Iloilo Auto Supply bldg , as shown in the opening shot, was sadly demolished to give way to this new Socorro bldg. I was a kid then but I fully remember how beautiful it was, and I saw it demolished step by step. Then, the Socorro bldg opened, and the upper floor became Socorro Spring Garden but closed down later, and became, as you said a storage are for more than 40 years. I was able to go up at that time, around 1981, to see Mrs. Julienne Tirol-Javellana to ask permission to hang the streamer for a scheduled concert of the Madrigal Singers at the Colegio de San Jose in Jaro District, sponsored by the Carmelite OCD Sisters of Jaro, where I belonged to a youth group called Young Theresians, and we were assisting the nuns with the streamers.

And i know when i was a little boy when you are not from there you cant pass by
