I agree, I haven’t heard this but I also haven’t gotten on groups or anything, that’s where you see or hear about more issues. I’m not sure if there are aftermarket extractors for it, but I’ll keep shooting mine and see how it holds up

The Mcarbo replacement extractor is really inexpensive and solves the potential problem in a couple minutes. It’s unfortunate Ruger did not make a better extractor, but it’s not a deal breaker.

A 21 round will fit in the compartment stock. The Glock mag. I wanna say I have a 10 rd and it didn’t fit loaded into the chamber with the gun in break down mode. But I’ll have to double check

They have an adapter for Ruger 10/22 aftermarket magazines only. Don’t work with original Ruger mags like the BX25. Which sucks cuz I have those

@@wisconsinarms9820 Damn. They don't work with the rotary mags I assume? I assume they work with the higher capacity mags that have a spring and follower... but not the original 10rd magazines, because they're the rotary mags?

Mine will probably stay mostly stock for awhile. Maybe optics in the future. I have the Glock mag well in it now

Ruger now offers them with the MAGPUL stock. I dumped the factory stock for an FDE ASAP. Greatly improves the rifles handling

I have the Romeo 5 with see through mount on mine. Otherwise looks just like yours. Of I have the Glock adapter in mine, smart move by Ruger. The earlier 9mm carbine they made, gun stores could not sell them because they only took Ruger mags.

Theres 3 generations. 1st gen looks like a rifle with standard rifle stock 2nd gen has the mlok rail all the way down and 3rd gen has that plus more features including the pistol grip. I believe

Yes, a magpul 21 round Glock mag fits in the stock compartment. If you mean the grip compartment, I’d have to try it. Would have to be really short if it does

Haha, maybe both 😉. It wasn’t sighted in, was shooting high. Factory settings. Maybe it would have shot fine at a longer distance. I’ll adjust them to my liking

​@wisconsinarms9820 always a good idea to remove factory lube and grease and add normal gun oil before shooting your rifle.

After a lot of research I bought my GoldenBoy Silver because it is drilled and tapped to accept a rail and be able to mount virtually any type of optic. I ordered a full length weaver style rail from Henry outfitters. You need to drift out the rear sight to expose the drilled and tapped mounting screw holes. Another few scope mounting options are available from Skinner Sights. Hope this helps you.

Not sure. The trigger being dead is odd too. I’d have to look at mine again, but I think there’s a bar that slides in front of the hammer when you have the hammer back and engage the safety. So it don’t go off. It can be seen when cleaning

The slide spring assembly and get the added consistency and seem to make it shoot a little bit better. It's a slide pin doesn't move around like the other one did he and it is about a half a pound heavier spring and it's captured and it's metal. Might check it out. I like mine is one of my favorites

I do have two of the tandemkross mag extensions and I have their slide spring and pin. I didn’t install that yet but I did try the mag extension on one of my mags. It’s nice having extra capacity but you do lose the slide lock open when empty feature. There is at least two companies that make smaller followers for the mags that give another round and lock open the slide

@@wisconsinarms9820 when you put the spring and the pin in for the slide you're going to be surprised because that slide pin does not move it holds yet. Pride goes back straight. The other one was plastic. Well I guess it's plastic but you know what it was and if you pull back slide it had wobble on your side. The new pin with the spring doesn't do that so that slide is going to go back and forward more efficiently. Good luck! I hope you hope you like it if you get it

They are very similar, I guess it comes down to personal preference. Ruger has a lot of variations and color options as well

Well the reason I said so is because the ruger has a Tested and true bolt carrier and the M&P smith and Wesson just put parts together when building the M&P also the M&P barrel is a 1/9 so you can only shoot certain ammo and be accurate the ruger has a 1/8 twist barrel it will do with 55-68 grain with no problems

Yeah I think the 1/8 twist is more universal on the Ruger. The great thing about the entire platform (AR-15) is how universal they all are. Love it
