When that was operational did anybody know where they were going , but the big question is Why
@@jonnyhog1002 I would imagine each section was controlled by small groups? It was built for the invasion of France, which never happened! 😳
The fortifactions were built for landside attack , as the western heights is hidden from view from the coast and beaches

UK is the most amazing WW1 & WW2 Military History. Thanks for Posting. Cheers from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. We have a lot of underground here, but it is mostly St Peter Sandstone, a little like the Chock caves of UK.
@@UrbexTroll thank you for your kind comments and for watching. We do have some excellent remains here

I didn’t, but now you’ve worried me? 😮

Those holes in that room were most likely for ventilation to prevent the ammunition (powder) from getting damp.
Nice Video. Thank you for Video✌🏻 Greeting from Germany✌🏻
Thank you also. Nice channel you have 👍

Proste zadne odpadky. Bomba! Ne jak v CR samej bordel.
Kinda reminds me of The Backrooms.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what are the backrooms?
@@JoeBloggs-o4o They're computer generated UA-cam videos of apparently abandoned office buildings that are very creepy, and which the viewer sort of wanders through. The early ones all had endless, unoccupied hallways, ugly yellow wallpaper, and buzzing fluorescent ceiling lights, with occasional jump-scare monsters. Then people started getting more creative and produced indoor "water parks", suburbs, unpopulated shopping malls, etc. All very eerie. If you search UA-cam for "The Backrooms", you'll find scads of videos. Then add "water" or "pools" to your search and you'll see what I mean by the similarity with your video.
Having an awful lot of failed explores lately!?? But I never see the point in posting them? Never mind, Dover next week!👍
Fascinating video, looking forward to your next one.
Thank you
Where? Why?
Why? Because we are Urban explorers. Where? Well that takes detective work. 😉
What I meant was Where is it & Why is is there!
@@paulbennett772 Oh I see. Well it's a strategic pipeline taking fuel/water etc from the docks to major cities and it's in Somerset
@@paulbennett772 Also it's there because there's a huge hill and motorway in it's way, so I suppose this was the cheapest option?
I love your video. Thank you?
Thank you!
Wow! This locations is so cool
So interesting to see what is under our feet
always a shame to see abandoned gyms like that the gym near us is closed down but boarded up so can not get any access
Great in depth explore looking forward for more long format content

The best part about caving is that you don't have to do it.
NOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPE
What happens if a group is crawling out as you're going in? Is there a way to let people know its occupied?
It’s in a very secluded spot. No I dig the cave with my Son and a mate. It wouldn’t be a problem if someone else came in, but it’s always locked anyway
amazing! do you know where this is? Because i would like to go caving too when i turn into an adult and this cave looks beautiful, i would love to crawl in this (of course not as my fist trip but after i become more experienced)
Yes it’s a dig on the top of the Mendip hills. Currently only about 200m long, but it’s flat out all the way. If you did this for your first trip, you,d be put off for life!😂
I mean that's damn sweet
hmmm interesting
Interesting how?
@@JoeBloggs-o4o Well i just wasn't expecting to get a video with like 30 something views recommended to me also I like caving vids so I found the video just cool and interesting
This was really cool to watch! So interesting. But I have to say the entrance and exit definitely gave me claustrophobic feelings lol
Lol many thanks. Not quite as bad as it looks? 😀
