River Financial CEO Interview: Building a Bitcoin financial services firm

An interview with the CEO of River Financial.
I think one of the problems I have with your take on NFT's trending in a traditional cyclic fashion is that I just don't believe it and here's why. Cosmetic aesthetics come and go because people are always trying to be different, but extending that onto currencial values, money changes and doesn't make the same re-assurgence. The value of old currency is reliant on the extinction of the product to generate exclusivity around surviving articles. NFT's (A) are not physical so do not have the same inherent value, it's just lines of code in an over saturated web of code and (B) The value is reliant on trend. The trend of this being reliant on a perceived novelty of something that was both well marketed - and poorly misunderstood - to/by consumers. The only people who care about Bored Ape Yacht Club are the people who bought into the ruse, have strong self-preservation, are deeply ingrained into a temporary online sub-culture and are a dying population. No new individuals growing up are going to be as susceptible, and people are generally becoming increasingly resistant to trending 'novelties' because the market is over-saturated with them. Expecting NFT's to be an authentic business strategy that will make a resurgence is like imagining Fyre Festival will make a second debut. It was marketed just the same, built on perceived exclusivity, fraudulent to the core, and is not what it claims to be. It's not difficult to imagine Philip in this instance would likely also jump aboard AI generation for anime portrait renderings, as it seems his focus is capitalising on hype trains which to me doesn't seem like a good business model to begin with. The issue here that firstly anyone can re-render themselves into an 'anime' render from a click of a button using AI, and anyone who wants to 'flex' isn't going to want to flex with an AI generated render, they'd sooner hire an artist to have something 100% authentic and artisan made. Sorry but I just can't imagine taking pride in being a strategic societal bottom feeder all my life.
Thanks to Phillip Tran for gracing us with his time for this interview
