DIY 3D printed robotic arm - pick and place
Переглядів 6 тис.Рік тому
Our user made this awesome pick and place demonstration with duct tapes. If you want to build your own robotic arm see more details at arctosrobotics.com/
Is there a way to connect from afar and control? Or maybe program it to do certain motions? I’m wondering you can automate it to take a print off a 3d printer
@@anoahnatormymans8831 I'm just doing that atm. The problem is not the control of the robot. Rather the moment when the print is finished and the playing the new print, especially with the printers that doesn't have open source firmware. But there is always a way. Stay tuned
Does it move faster?
Yes, much faster than this. Check out more videos on our Discord channel
Is this on open loop?
Yes it is and also V1.0. Currently we are on V2.9.6
Is this for open loop or close loop
Showcased is closed loop, but it will work for open loop as well
I tried but it didn't work
These motor sounds are pretty creepy
In 2024? This is not imoressive😅😅😅 If you did it yourself as a school/clg project then its really awesome. I dont really know how it really works. Was the tic tac game preprogrammed and then attactrd to the robot in the 3d with hand eye co ordination type thing? Or was it like machine learning, the robot learned it by just observing? The latter is what we are heading for, and that my friend is real impressive. Robots learning a task by themselves without programming with trial and error.
It depends on what you find impressive! I trained CV model to detect custom objects using a webcam to identify positions on the board. The pick-and-place positions were indeed predefined. It was a great challenge combining computer vision and robotics to make this work. But yes, having everything run by AI is the thing we are heading to.
@@ArctosRobotics have you uploaded it on your channel?
Is this for open or closed loop?
@@JohnBlaze505 this one is for closed loop
Are you kidding me! This channel is way too unknown! This is awesome!
wow those steppers are really loud, maybe change the steps
@@wolfrobots118 This was on v1 when they were driven by A4988, now we are using silent more powerful TMC2209 and MKS drivers.
i wanna ask some questions: which micro controller you use ?
@@cuonginhthanh280 Arduino Mega
Can you upload a video how to wiring all close loop encoder: Multi Machine ?
is this video realtime or sped up? trying to gauge the speed which it can move.
@@theo1311 it is sped up, but the newest version can go faster than in this video
Noisy and weak...
are these all for 3D printer?
super cool
I want to ask about the simultaneous rotation of motors, How does the motors are interpolated to perform simultaneously?
A link to the github would be nice.
I have question, The closed loop option (MKS SERVO 42D, 57D and MKS CANABLE v2) is absolutely necessary?
Is this real time?
Yes
Can I control the motors using relative position ? Having troubles with B and C axis
Where can I find the specifications for the versino 0.2? Has the payload weight been increased?
What did you use to create the GUI?
извините ,а какая плата управления
What Software do u use to run that robotarm?
I'm thinking about using your arm and gear design and reworking it to fit Atlas 2024 from Boston Dynamics. I want to 3D print a copy of Atlas and use two Arctos robotic arms for his upper torso. As legs needs to be much stronger. But I need to start somewhere.
More!
thanks, is possible share the components link?
How do you make a cycloidal gearbox that outputs to the ring? I'm trying to design one and having trouble
this is the most cyberpunk thing I have seen in days
What is the intro music 0:00-0:20?? so sick. Also the arm is completely sick, obviously.
It’s not working for windows 11
I am planning to buy the designs and try this out, but it needs to be faster for some real world applications I think
Thank you for uploading the assembly video, it is very helpful!
Wouldn't it be good to have the motor inside ?
if motor breaks you have to dissasemble th base attached to everything so better to have it outside,. you dont want things falling to the ground
Really great build. Why would you use a complex cycloidal drive over planetary gear arrangement ?
I think it's to get rid of our dear old friend Mr.Backlash. Cycloidal drive is Mr.Backlash's worst enemy. Planetary gear arrangement can be an acquaintance.
Merci !!
hello Sir, i have a question I noticed that two joints are moving simultaneously, how do you make two stepper or servo rotates at the same time?
what is the backlash in the actuators?
nicely done
What about using bicycle parts which readily accessible?
do you plan to make tutorial for GrblGru?
is this required for the robot to work or can you just import the gcode to grbl trough universal gcode sender
It is required for closed loop control. CAN messages could also be sent via SavvyCan or similar CAN tool. In open loop with Arduino, gcode can be send by ugs.
Amazing Work! Why are you using melodic instead of noetic?
I need an Arduino grbl to be able to connect the Arduino to Robodk
nicely done! Good job!
This is so beautiful. 🚀💕💫
Nobody can convince me robotic arms aren’t cool.
Great demo of your build 🎉 I love the color scheme. Makes me think Star Wars 😊
