Hi just tried the demo from Next Fest! Am quite impressed by how polished and intuitive everything feels, most interactions also feel quite juicy and the artistic direction is as unique as it is retro. I tried to keep track of a few QoL aspects that may need some improvement: - some guns have a slightly delayed response, for instance the basic pink gun, it takes a few milliseconds between the click and the shot - maybe the restriction is intended, but not being able to move mid-air whilst otherwise having such free controls feels a bit weird. The movement is otherwise great, would love to see platforming sections actually - the impact of when getting hit isn't clear enough yet, I'd tend towards a more visible red vignette whenever getting hit or letting the health number heavily vibrate and reddish - the delay between jumps could be shorter - the health bar of enemies could be closer to the upper image edge - weapon switching could also be faster to more closely resemble the weapon handling of doom - I have quite a bit of trouble accepting the map as it is. Its accuracy is really helpful, but I don't get why it first appears in a transparent representation when pressing TAB and only after each second time it shows the map on a brown background. The arrow of the player could be bigger and bolder, more like a compass arrow. The teleporters/portals aren't visible at all on it, maybe a system where each pair of teleporters is well visible and colorded would be helpful. It's also a bit hard finding where to go next if having lost track for a little, which could be eliminated by either hinting at where to go or tinting the areas you've already explored. - Maybe it was for the purpose of the demo, but when being given large amounts of ammo, I think it'd be better to show a large amount of shells rather than the weapons as a means for giving ammo for them, since especially right before a boss room I just see a conglomeration of colors in the items and don't even know whether there is be a new gun among them :D Other than that the foundation of the game is very solid and incredibly fun. Therefore, best of luck with further progress and the release of the game, hope it turns out financially sound because the game most certainly deserves it :) And as a side note, every second spent on this degree of polish and smoothness is appreciated by us, even if not spoken out loud usually

I was so excited for this game but I'm probably not gonna pick it up after I learned it was being published by Hellforge. I thought people would be smart enough not to partner with them after the Kiwifarms allegations but clearly that's not the case. Words cannot express my disappointment with you, I expected better
