I’ve got a pretty big collection: JP (1994) and TLW (2000, with collectors edition cover art) on VHS, JP on DVD (I think 2013?), JP Trilogy DVD set (2016), two copies of JW on DVD, JP 25th Anniversary 4 movie box set, JW Dominion Blu-Ray, JP Ultimate Collection 6 movie 12-disc set (2022), and JP Collection 4 movies + JP and JW in 3D (2015)

I dont think we can fully grasp the legacy of Terminator 2: Judgment Day... probably because T2 is far from done making history. Jaws was great but its still very much of its time. Star Wars is even aging. But T2 is still a timeless masterpiece after 30 years. Every scene and line of dialogue still feels fresh and new. The action, especially the chase scenes are as effective as ever. Terminator 2 is a testament to the craftsmanship of James Cameron. T2 is arguably the greatest action film ever made. I even think the poster as seen in this video still feels fresh and amazing. Btw, the alternate ending only comes with the extended special edition and many of us hate it. Heck, from what ive heard, even Cameron hates that alternate ending.

Dial of Destiny is great, as great as the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.

I love how different it is like Temple of Doom. Kingdom and Crusade tried to follow the Raiders formula which is fine and it worked in both cases even if Kingdom did have some notable issues. But Dial takes a more realistic take on Indy. The time passage between films is really felt as you can really tell the world has changed around him. In Kingdom it just feels like Raiders and Crusade but instead of Nazi’s it’s Russians which is fine and we do get glimpses of how the world is different as people were protesting the Red Scare but it feels like there trying to fit it in with that original trilogy. In Dial we see how Indy reacts to the world changing around him he’s struggling to find himself and his purpose in the modern world. Which is something that a lot of old people go to though and I like that he realizes that he can’t just live in the past and that he must accept reality and be with the people he cares about. I love how just like Temple of Doom. They made a film that’s different but doesn’t stray too far from what made the originals great. I think having a different director in James Mangold really helped that.

Good points. The two things that didn't work for me, were the overly long (and extreme) action sequences. And Helena Shaw was really, really uninteresting. Pretty solid film otherwise - 7/10

Dude agreed! As someone who hated the sequels, I had a great time with the film. I’m so glad they didn’t kill Indy off or anything and I thought the ending with Marion and the hat grab was a pretty cute bookend. All in all, good watch and addition to the franchise.

The flash does have Sasha Calle in it and she is quite beautiful The marvels is, I think, far worse.

Harrison Ford is too old for this completely soulless train wreck of a movie Indiana Jones and the destruction of legacy is the devastation of disney

I wanted to love this but unfortunately it didn’t work very well for me. Harrison Ford did a great job back as Indy and I found some of the action to be fun but overall I just felt like this was a disposable feeling kind of movie and the 3rd act really didn’t work for me. I’d be lying if I said I wanted to watch this again. Great review 👍

Your review is fair and balanced. I thought the movie was a blast, lots of fun. I watched with an open mind, ignoring Disney's politics and not analyzing the effects or comparing it to the other films in the franchise. Movies are made to entertain, and this one delivered. 👍
