Similar script to Hammer, but with some subtle differences. In the hammer run we get the KO after the spider, it does the 1st transform and we hellfire topple it then instantly mount it. This run went off script slightly, we ideally wanted Primordial to not do it's first transformation after the ko and go straight into a hellfire down because this would have made it so it would take enough damage to reach the HP lock by the time it stood up from the down after the Ride and therefore would go straight into second transformation without attacking. First 'cc spam to death' run in awhile. I think you can get sub 3 but getting the leg topple consistently after the mount is annoying since it often flinches in the air while it attempts to fly and then if you don't put down the trap to capture it (cope) soon enough it will do it's double nova attack and waste time at the end....eh. I have been watching speedruns of Special Furious Rajang with weapon types such as Dual Blades, Switch Axe, Bow, Sword and Shield, and Greatsword, all of which got clear times of between 3-5 minutes which makes this run with Gunlance feel quite slow. I made three mistakes in this run. I got hit/knocked back twice and I inputted for a erupting cannon when I did not have it loaded. Despite these, I am content with the run because I think I got good dog damage rng as my next best runs were 5'48, 5'50 and all other attempts weren't sub 6. Can Gunlance clear Special Astalos in under 6 minutes? I'm not sure... Similar to the Special Scorned run, keeping Astalos in afflicted mode was important to prolong the amount of time access to popping the Quiro Bubbles is possible was important. Not my cleanest run on Special Scorned but my fastest so far. Different Buddy setup from usual. It was important to have the Buddies use silkbinders plus mount at the right time to prolong the amount of time Scorned was in the afflicted mode so that more Quiro bubbles could be popped.
