I took out my trusty Onewheel powered with 2 EGO tool batteries for 900Wh combined capacity! Amazing low-end torque and over 50 miles of range on pavement. Mike, have you ever tried a Gt? Like for a whole mob?
No but I rode one for about 15 minutes of grass surfing back to back with my Zombie Plus. That was before Custom was dropped for it. The battery I'm using is equivalent to the GT battery in range, and has great low-end torque where the FM Plus firmware apparently isn't limiting current. As speed increases the GT firmware allows more torque, but I'm not racing. The GT is also much less repairable without sending it to FM. Also the faster we ride the less range we get, so I'd end up sacrificing range whenever I took advantage of higher GT speed. That's not even getting started with the higher ride height of the GT footpads, worse 6.5" hub, higher accessory costs, and endless mods needed to get it back to par with the original board platform. VESC is next for me, but I am not in much hurry for that either for the same reasons. Using more speed and torque means less range, and then that means I'd want a larger battery, and that means a more expensive upgrade and results in a heavier board. I'm really not motivated until better next generation battery cells mean more range and torque will fit into less space with less weight.
Nice recovery!... I ridden the trails all around the Cherry Creek reservoir. I also ride all the trails to and about the Quincy reservoir The CC trail goes south of Franktown
Do you ride a Onewheel? If so do you ride Segments in the app? I've added a bunch of segments that I like to ride. I made it to Franktown and back from the Parker Rec Center last year but found it to be a bit of a boring slog. I could just make it from my apartment to the end at Castlewood Canyon State Park and back if I used my 2 hump camel but my feet would not be happy with that 50 mile distance. The e-bike might also just make the range but I would need to avoid using the throttle.
The scenery is pretty but it is just too long on boring pavement and if I took any side trails I wouldn't have enough range without charging at some point.
@@maddmikemu I am oldschool with last centuries' StumpJumper for singletrack and Trek 5500 for road. Chef Juke cut my first burn scooter so I used an ebike for my last 2 burns. As a senior cit I'm going to start cutting back on my 'recreational toys.

Wildfire smoke unfortunately, coming from far away but Denver has had the worst air quality of any city in the US and top 10 worst in the world the past few days. It's supposed to start clearing out tomorrow. My allergies and sinuses have been very upset with me riding in it.
Just recently had a motorbike accident and the ebike has been a life saver!! Had mine 2ish years and done triple the millage, iv found it's dropped around 10k range from new
the relation of battery capacity to range is littered with lots of those 'variables' but you're test results were pretty 'steady-eddy'
I should look at my Wh/mile used on the 10 miles out (gradual downhill) versus on the way back (gradual uphill), and also the last 10 miles looping the neighborhood golf course that has uphill and downhill.

Face panels don't work on EBA3 Bluetti generators, too many amps, everybody that does reviews on these make some look like they would work, now I got to send it back what a hassle
I don't use a "battery generator" box, instead I use solar charge controllers that I purchased that have the correct specifications to charge EGO lawn tool batteries and then use the EGO batteries with an inverter. Currently using the EGO 400w Nexus Escape for my tent power when camping.

Is the green things on your onewheel a battery mod?
Yes, my original Onewheel+ battery got water damaged a few years ago so it is now powered with the EGO lawn tool battery. This battery voltage only works with the Onewheel+ or original Onewheel.

I rode on that trail a month ago and it wasn't there, and I've hit other booby-trap trail sabotage over the years such as wire across the trail, holes, and a pile of sand. Thousands of miles of singletracks and I have a pretty good idea of what kind of hazards are natural and what are intentional, especially on singletracks I ride often.

I only checked that the elejoy EL-MU400SP turned on for a moment. Is it possible to adjust the output amperage? Is there no such function? The MPT-7210A model seems to be able to adjust the output amperage.
No adjustment for current. In my application the max current is limited by the 200w solar panel and is always less than the max charging rate of my battery. The output current does drop as the battery reaches the voltage setting. I'm about to go camping for 6 days and will be using this to charge my EGO batteries for tent and Onewheel power.

Thank you for the comparison video I compared the two models and purchased the elejoy EL-MU400SP. I chose it because it is quiet because there is no fan and it is completely waterproof. I chose it because I plan to keep installing it outside. 😁😁

I have been riding with the new Vans for over 3 months now and my plantar fascitis pain is still there. I've had a few periods of not riding daily due to holiday travel and some wet weather, but that hasn't been long enough for the inflammation to heal completely. I think it's been long enough to conclude that the old Vans and insoles were not worn out and that didn't cause my foot pain. The pain started last year after I got back from Burning Man and I initially thought that possibly I had damaged/shrunk the shoes from washing off the playa dust and that's why my feet started hurting. But now I think that I may have injured my feet from riding my Onewheel on the extremely hard bumpy playa surface after the rain and exodus from the event made it very rough. I posted some videos from after the event riding my Onewheel and you can see how rough it was. Both of my feet now hurt, but I think it's slowly getting better. I'm back to wearing the new Vans with just the PopCush insoles, and I loosened them up quite a bit around my toe area a few days ago and that really seems to have helped. I have been trying other insoles, different socks, and have re-laced them multiple times... So my conclusion now is that I injured my feet on the Playa riding on the rough surface and then had my old Vans laced too tightly after I had washed them. My new Vans were also laced too tightly and my tender feet/toes have not been able to heal with my continued daily riding. Hopefully I've figured it out this time and the looser lacing will allow my plantar fascitis to continue to heal. Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps anyone who might be feeling similar pain in their feet while riding their Onewheel or skateboard. 🤙

There are places on the way out along the highway that take bike donations, so there is no excuse for any participant to leave no trace.

@@maddmikemu Playa! Times I've been there I've gotten back to Fernley, recouping in the Fernley Walmart parking lot I've been given lots of bikes! Last year in the mud I brought 5 bikes gave them away on the Playa and ended up with 10 bikes again! 11 counting my electric bike@
