In yt I would say is both a bit of formula in branding, making a familiar character and kickstar from an stablished fanbase and some chance. Channels have 'made it' around known ips like the korean mapple story one, some do political memes, some are focused on ai video, I am all over the place in both, consistently erratic hahaha The midi part is super Interesting, I would kill for a midi feature.

People who say they failed with V4 have no idea what they're talking about. That shimmer sound is annoying but way better than just a few weeks ago.

Huge bugs with Suno. GMT+2 Jerusalem time. 21/112024 Ver. 3. 5 gives errors on extending the songs. Ver 4 gives shimmering sound. I see it as a critical bug! As for now ver 3.5 can generate only instrumental tunes

This all brings me back to my early days as a sound engineer in the studio, during the monumental transition from analog to digital. That shift was revolutionary: recordings became sharper, more precise, and sometimes even better. But something essential was lost in the process. A flawless recording doesn’t guarantee that the soul of the music is preserved. In the pursuit of technical perfection, emotion, composition, and arrangement were often left behind. Today, with the rise of 4.0 technology, this issue feels even more pronounced. Sure, voices sound pure, and arrangements are impeccably polished, but much of the work lacks depth and heart. These are voices I would never have recorded in the studio back then: they don’t move you, they carry no weight, and they tell no story. The result? Polished perfection without soul-and that might be the greatest tragedy of all. Take Suno AI, for example. I was an early adopter and admirer of their work. But recently, they seem to have lost their way. The results are technically superior but compositionally weaker. Clicks, strange tones, even moments where the AI clearly struggles: is this due to technological limitations or the influence of record labels pulling strings behind the scenes? As a former a&r producer for a label, I know how intense the pressure to deliver can be. But the difference between a track worth releasing and one destined for the shelf is undeniable. Much of what now emerges on 4.0 platforms would never have been released back then. I would take an imperfect recording on an old cassette over a lifeless studio masterpiece any day. A great composition can always be re-recorded, refined, and revived. But a soulless track? It’s dead on arrival. 4.0 developers must take this to heart: artistry must always take precedence over technical refinement. For professional users, this is a crucial truth. Perhaps the average home listener doesn’t notice it immediately, but for those of us who care deeply about the soul of music, this direction feels like a step backward. Companies like Udio may deliver perfectly produced recordings, but they lack the soul that once set Suno apart. Even Suno’s recent work feels like a shadow of what it once was. Let’s hope they find their way back. Because without emotion, without stories, all that remains of music is an empty echo.

The new version is not letting me choose any other genre than the one I’ve been using for the last few songs prior to the update. Meaning, even though I choose other genres, it’s like the AI now “remembers” my previous “favorite choice” and will barely venture outside of that genre. I hope they fix this issue or I’m out.

V4 is awesome, but the 4min limit didn't work for me, some of my songs are over 4min long.

Sound quality unfortunately sucks - I thought that FINALLY they would reach UDIO's sound quality, but nope - what a disappointment !

If i remaster one of the songs with v4 will i lose the older version?

I used to own a TB-303 (it got nicked in 1991! :'( ... but still have the TR-606 :) I got the TD-3 now as a replacement; so was shocked and pleased to hear this take me make to 1988 lol wicked love it and I am a user of Suno so this is good to see how to use uploading files keep up the good work mate

I built this as a vertical video experiment - it came out pretty good! This is not the final release, but it is all artificially generated. I created the lyrics and plugged them into Suno. After almost 100 tries, I got one I liked. The video production involved multiple AI tools: Leonardo AI: Created the base characters Canva: Used for editing and background removal Hedra: Rendered the female character using the audio vocal stem file Gen3: Rendered the keyboard player The full song took 3 days to complete, with character renders and editing taking an additional 2 days. The final video was edited in Da Vinci Resolve.
