what is the purpose of uploading? it literally creates a whole new song

Anyone know how to play a song in a specific note or say in minor?

That is an amazing arrangement of your tune. It would of taken so long to produce that. But do you own the copyright or can someone use your melody lyrics. I’m not sure what the legal arrangement is once it’s produced, do you then own it?

I also started with Suno, but I found there was too much multi-tracking and distortion; whereas UDIO was mostly crisp and clear. Unfortunately, the credit yield on UDIO is only about 20% (Credit Yield = 1/ number of generations), which is why I decided to try SUNO again.

AND THEN ONTO THE NEXT SONG... THIS IS SURELY A GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT IT HAS DONE WITH MY MUSIC... UNREAL... I HAVE YET TO TRY UDIO'S EXTEND ABILITY COMPARED TO SUNO'S... Mind that whatever you upload to suno, you agree to the terms of service that your track will be used for training the algorithm..

Thanks to Suno... the AI generates fantastic music... top in almost all areas and super fast... in contrast to UDIO, which has other strengths... in any case, my SHizzzo radio works great with SUNO

I’ve started messing around with Suno this week and I have barely slept lol. I write and produce, but I don’t rap or sing, so I have been literally sitting on 100s of songs. This has been a godsend!!!!

I didn't realize Suno allowed uploading, this changes everything!

I've got literally thousands and thousands of unfinished ideas and demos like that. I sometimes thought to hear my voice, so thank you for being so brave to share your demo's. And I appreciate your opinion that AI is just a tool that creates opportunities to inspire us and help us to complete our own creativity. What most people forget in this AI copyright strike is that this is not about copyright. You cannot copyright a chord progression or an arrangement or a way of playing or mixing an instrument. Not even a typical genre, subgenre or artist's style. All human artists are trained on thousands of hours of music that we listened too during our lives. Subconsciously or consciously, we all bring those influences into our own work. Not to mention that most of us at least started trying to sound like our idols, right? As far as I know, only a melody including its rhythm can be copyrighted. Also when it's a groove like the intros of eye of the tiger or smoke on the water. So if we bring our own melodies (and perhaps lyrics) into these AI programs, what comes out is still OUR music, not Suno's, not the artists' that Suno has been trained on. Yes, the programs have glitches where there are obviously too many similarities falling under plagiarism, and it's good that the program deletes these renditions or better should warn us that we cannot publish and/or monetize these renditions.

You can hear the feedback noise that Suno loves to add to destroy every song it makes.

Can I create songs from Suno or any other Ai and submit them to Routenote? Will they approve it?

This brings back the age old discussion of property rights verses education and learning. Is the knowledge we received from school my knowledge? Do i own it, or is it leased to me because i was not the original creator of it.

the hacker manifesto speaks about "things that could be free if not for profiteering gluttons" its a good way to antagonize hackers imo as well.

What's unfair about this that you have to be a pro for premium shit in order to upload audio. That was bullshit and sad for me 😢 😭

It was their inspiration that created A.I if they would just take our songs and make a hit out of it, we wouldn't be resorting to Band In a Box and Suno.

I suspect this is a power play to get some of the revenue from these companies via an out of court settlement. Might be a revenue sharing deal for passive income for the labels from subscriptions paid to the companies by consumers. I don’t think they actually believe AI will damage the industry because they asked that the music be licensed. You aren’t going to license something if you actually think there is potential damage. But if it goes to trial, perhaps we’ll finally get a ruling on whether or not the training is fair use as that’s the claim being made and their argument really isn’t a bad one. If a person intentionally attempts to duplicate a song, that’s on the user, not the AI platform.

can you make parodys with this ai. example (take a normal song mary had a little lamb) and then keep the song keep the voice keep everything but make the words differnt gary had a obease ham like that can you with aiva?

As someone who’s being making music since Reason 2.5, I can say for sure that AI will take over. For me it’s better than using DAWs haha.

Musicians are weak and passive. Ai allows non musicians to become fake musicians. They imagine they’re creating something. Ai is here. Musicians have been creating lame stupid processed music that’s easy to replicate. That’s what has been modeled. Although I’m very impressed with how well it copies different genre. Consumers don’t care, they haven’t heard anything new or different, they have zero clue.

If WMG wins this case than Steinway is going to sue every sampler company such like AKAI / Roland , that created similar piano sounds , and TAMA is going to sue every drum computer on earth that sounds similar to their drum set. And Mercedes’ is going to sue BMW. for similar cars. Than the best of all , Mick Jagger is going to sue EVERY rockband on the planet that sounds a bit similar. OK and Grand master flash is going to use EVERY rapper on earth. Let’s see how far they get with their money cases , funny that Sonauto does the same AI but does not get any lawsuit , too little money to get from there.

If I remember correctly, the majors initially fought against cassettes, cds, mini-disks, peer-to-peer, streaming etc. They have a great track record of slowing progress until they figure out how to monetize it.

Yeah, both are great, but they're both so different. But, to put how I feel in short: Udio for quality and Suno for creativity... and I'm not sure how Udio handles this, but in Suno, your tracks are private unless you MAKE them public... so I use Suno for ideas... whether it's just creating a solo piano piece and using the notes in my own track or it's uploading a loop I make in my DAW and listening to the musical ideas that Suno spits out and either recreating them in my DAW or getting inspired by it to create something new... either way, I hope AI music is here to stay and is continually improved

It wasn’t that long ago artists had to gather their own natural pigments and blend them together with animal fat, saliva, egg, or oils as a binding agent in order to paint. Then, technology allowed tubes of paint to be manufactured which gave artists new freedoms to roam outside the studio and paint in new ways. I feel AI technology will offer the same type of freedoms to modern audio artists…allowing them to create music in new unimaginable ways.

This is all well and good but why aren’t you telling people in your videos that once you upload your music, that suno and udio can then spit versions of it out to other users who can then claim it as their own. Or instead of just saying how great ai music is also tell people that you cannot copyright any music you create on these platforms
