In this video we take a trip to Coppice Lane Fishery where we attempt to land some bigger carp. SORRY ABOUT THE WIND! We were in poor conditions which made the filming difficult however we had a great session either way! Please give us a like if you enjoyed it and subscribe for more fishing videos coming soon :) Sam & Tom

    Very well explained and also covering the difficult bits. And the erection is difficult if you have not have one before, so thanks for discussing it

    Hi can you but 2 bed chairs in the titan xl

  • @bloodlinesoffire5633
    @bloodlinesoffire5633 3 роки тому

    Just got one each for me and my partner, waited for a drop in price at £219 given all the extras you need.....as with most things you get what you pay for, hope its not like the high top bivvy, put that up in the sun, 24hrs later it was so tight with pole expansion they would not separate even with two anglers giving it some (next guy in the swim)

    Looking on getting this for me an my lad would 2 beds get in there

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 3 роки тому

      I reckon you could get two standard bedchairs side by side (going from side to side). In my opinion front to back probably wouldn't work unfortunately. The way it's designed is that it has a flat back to maximise the room inside.

    Is it two man bivvy?

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 3 роки тому

      Hi mate, it's not a two man bivvy. You could potentially fit two bedchairs in right next to each other but wouldn't have much other room.

    I've got a Trakker tempest brolly advanced, well made etc...but just too low, and I'm only 5 ft 9, is this a fair bit bigger all round?

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 3 роки тому

      It's much bigger than a lot of bivvys, especially the height in my opinion!

    Could you squeeze in 2 standard bedchairs in this, looks quite large inside? Just curious.

    • @samandtomgofishing922

      You could probably get two in without a door. But would definitely be a squeeze!

    Hi thanks for the video, have you compared it to a trakker tempest 100T at all? The material on the XL does look thicker and darker internally. As a tall angler I wonder which is better.

  • @Galamesh123
    @Galamesh123 4 роки тому

    Did u notice when u first opened it up the center rear leg was floating off the floor? Wondering if a peg will hold it down on wet ground

    • @joeflay7361
      @joeflay7361 4 роки тому

      Used one for about a year on wet ground it does pull out very easy! In my opinion only downfall of the hide it’s great other than that

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 4 роки тому

      I haven't had a issue with that yet. After a trip to France recently the ground was really hard so I put two pegs in to get it as far down as possible. But I can see what you mean with the really wet ground, the good thing is these pegs are the screw type too

    • @Galamesh123
      @Galamesh123 4 роки тому

      Yeh I have used mine 1nce and the threaded peg is good on hard ground but pulls out on wet ground! Overall it’s a decent hide other than that

    • @garyguest1885
      @garyguest1885 3 роки тому

      Had mine over a year & my back peg is the same - fine in dry conditions but the peg pulls out in wet ground. Great bivvy apart from that tho 👍🏻

    Well done lads but maybe now is the time to get yourself a weigh sling before you loose a fish out of the end of your mat doesnt have to be a exspensive one to keep the fish safe

    Great informative review, my XL arrived today. And what a well made piece of kit it is too! Took 5 mins to put up - then 10 mins to get the front ribs in the sockets.. it does seem very tight at the minute and very scary like you said in the review.. I’m thinking of cutting the front ribs down 5mm to make them fit in easier and put less strain on the bivvy overall but ill see how it goes as Nashy usually knows what he’s doing & maybe it’ll loosen up after a few outings

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 4 роки тому

      Cheers mate. I wouldnt worry about cutting down the front poles. After a few uses and being setup for longer periods, it goes up much easier now. Thanks for the kind words!

    I would always buy the door at the same time to save it being a different colour from the shelter. The sun will draw the colour from the shelter and a brand new door will be fresh green. Great review tho mate 👍🏼 gonna get the XL myseld 🎣🎣🎣

    Good demo & review, however, looking at a couple of comments ref: high wind broken poles & ripped material on deployment. It is a little worrying after handing over your hard earned cash. I am thinking of purchasing the XL though as the design concept is so hassle free, especially if you need to move around a lake or river roving. Thanks for the heads up on potential problems to look out for. All the best. Locky

    Once you zip in front panel you can leave it attached all the time, when you use over wrap in winter you gain a lot more room in the front as well. I had 2 poles snap on first one in windy weather but had it replaced and new one 100% perfect.

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 5 років тому

    Nice video and some very nice looking Carp there, i'm sooo going there i just found out about it cant wait. 5 pools to choose from so much exploring there to do with the different pools. I take it you fished method, or just a bomb and waggler close to the island? did you try close in where the shelf drops off too?

    • @samandtomgofishing922
      @samandtomgofishing922 5 років тому

      Only just saw this?!?! Yeah we tend to fish either the method feeder or pellet waggler, both of them close to the island. Plenty of chub on the waggler and tend to have more carp on the feeder. Lovely place to fish!
