2024 and still remember Fangblade

I remember looking up to Fangblade as a new Warrior in Classic Maplestory when I was in Grade 5... Man, how time goes! Just seeing his character being the only one in the Lvl 200 room in Perion. He really was looked at as a Warrior God. Someone you could look at and think "Its not impossible", when grinding lvls was absolutely insane back then.

I think FangBlade would be proud of Niru.

Y’all 2006 gMS Mapler here, someone please hold my memories 😭😭😭 I WAS IN THIS MAP SOMEWHERE TO SEE FANGBLADE LEVEL UP TO 200 ON THAT DAY March 15th 2008!!!!! And it was freaking legendary. Came here after watching the “Maple Iceberg” video and it’s a truckload of emotions lol

I don't usually leave comments but damn the nostalgia is so strong I'm like emotional.. I was a Dark Knight back in the day and seeing all the all pets/gear & chat and fraps is just a trip. Wish we could all go back and play together again :(

Man, I just started playing reboot yesterday, and it's so fucking confusing. There are so many fucking different systems and items and all this crap that ruined the whole nostalgia of MS. Nobody talks to each other...everybody is just on a solo mission to have the highest damage possible. I spent 30 bucks to get some NX and I feel stupid, because I doubt I'm gonna play for longer than a few weeks. There was something special about Maple back then. The community, the PQs, the music that MADE Maple, because of the small amount of content. Hunting for a pan lid from green mushrooms for my I/L mage for WEEKS...only to go from level like 26 to 28 in 3 weeks. Kerning city PQs where you got into a good party if you had track. Seeing how far you could go into Sleepywood to explore without dying. Spending all of your mesos to take the VIP taxi because it seemed so cool, only to end up in a place you couldn't survive. Ludi PQs...HHG1 hangout spot, FM spamming to sell stuff. Taking the ship and going outside to catch a glimpse of the insane OPed Balrog and dying. So many people don't realize how many friendships were forged on that 10 min boat ride. Yeah, it doesn't have the same allure as it did in 2005. Damn I miss those days. I tried the pre big bang MS servers, but the lack of community just makes it feel like an empty shell of my childhood. At the time though, this and Gunbound were the best games ever made.

Why fangblade haven’t came out once and talked about his experience leveling to 200? All these maplestory OG are silent asf

Also for FangBlade, seeing all of this every now and then must hit like a train. Just thinking of MapleStory and all of it's nostalgia around it. I really really wonder where this legend is nowadays.

This shit made me cry, maplestory is very special to me and this was fucking legendary. I wish i was active during the earlier years of maplestory but sadly i was too young at the time. The earlier years seem magical. Maplestory is still special to me but this sense of community and achievement is p much gone now. For context i joined around evan's release, i was about 9 at the time and thus too young to truly experience it for what it was. I still enjoyed it and i stil enjoy it now too, but oh how i wish i couldve experienced this all
