@@Spice99857 English isn't my mother tongue, it's pretty obvious I think. I commented two ys ago, I wrote "background" meaning heritage. Spanish is not an ethnicity, they are on Caucasian group
When I first watched this movie years ago I hoped James Wright (River) would end up with Linda Lou ( Sandra Bullock) her character was ADORABLE. Miranda( Sam Mathis) not so much. I didn't like Miranda.
First the grandmother burns down her own house with a cigarette, then she almost burns down her daughters house too, with the possibility of the firefighters finding not one, but four charcoal caramelized corpses still lying snugly in their beds....I'd kick this bitch out on her ass but fast!
Did anyone notice the David Cassidy poster on the wall in Miranda's motel room? I am a HUGE David Cassidy fan, and that's my favorite picture of him. It was featured in The Partridge Family episode, "Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Partridge." Love the smile and the pose! Sexy!
I remember watching this on TV in the 80s. Always loved Geraldine Fitzgerald. That said, I can relate to this. My mom was an abusive drunk when I was growing up and my dad was her enabler, always making excuses for her behavior. She would drink all night and spend the rest of the day in bed. When she finally would get up, she was hungover and pissed! I remember so many fits of anger with my mom, her suddenly going into a rage. Getting beat, belittled, punished for no reason. Then my dad would come into my room and tell me to apologize to my mom for making her so angry. It was textbook abuse and enabling. As an adult I still carry around the emotional baggage or growing up in an abusive household.
It's beautiful to be young. The 90s were beautiful.
It my favorite movie

I miss you so much my honey river Phoenix❤❤❤💕💕💕
Fine genuine performances from the mains, and the entire supporting cast
@6:03- I still love how she walks out of the Bluebird, looks up the street, and crosses over to the Drake Motel, 7 miles away on Murfreesboro Rd. 😁😁
Completa ¿?
The music in this movie, pure perfection!!
The movie flopped because the Samantha Mathis character is stuck-up and unfriendly. Sandra Bullock should have been the lead character.
Webb Wilder as the motel clerk!
Two of my all time favorite movies growing up were this and Stand By Me. River Phoenix happened to be in both. Great Movies.
LOL at the fake punches, did they had to add the sound effects?😂
Theres only part 1 and part 2 😕😕
Movie is available on this channel go check it out
И в роли эгоистичного Джеймса Ривер убедителен! А как поет! И эти роскошные волосы, так украшающие лицо молодого актера... ♥️..

@@francescapucciano9205You mean ethnicity, not "background."

@@francescapucciano9205 Ethnicity does not mean the same thing as race, it is a more specific part of race.

When I think of Horston Wiley I think of the Vermont Country Store.
